i do love your country and culture 😃 Last week, I had an amazing first visit to Egypt! It quickly became my second-favorite country I've ever traveled to, right after Australia. Nick from India here, by the way. I was so impressed by everything I saw and did.
FYI, Grand Hyatt West is where we stayed before our tour started, and it was great. Very comfortable, friendly helpful staff, and fairly close to the Pyramids.
Im very happyegypt is doing its best to improve its intl gateway hope it will continue this can provide jobs for the people and improve their local and intl tourist experience.
You make really high value content, thank you! I'm not evening planning to go to Egypt, but I enjoyed your videos. Helps me imagine what Egypt is like.
Thanks for watching! Yes, technically Giza, but most people refer to the entire area as Cairo, or Greater Cairo, so I used that for this video. Glad you love my videos-I appreciate the comment!
I definitely recommend taking a train between Cairo and Alexandria, although it's much cheaper to just take a microbus. You can see my videos on the train vs. microbus on my TH-cam channel. No convenient public transit options at this time go out to this airport, so Uber is your best bet. As for train to other places in Egypt (like Luxor and Aswan), I recommend just buying the 1 hour flight (tickets are not much more expensive than the foreigner tickets for the train).
I’m not sure-I almost always have to end up getting paper boarding passes at the airports in Egypt, because they usually don’t let you check in online.

Thank you for the information. I have one question. How can I go from SPX Airport to Alexandria city. Is there a transportation, or should I take Uber? But I'm not sure if the drivers will accept it, because of the distance between the two cities.
I don’t know if a driver would accept the trip. My best advice if Uber does not work is to try to Uber into 6th of October and take a microbus, or try to Uber to Ramses train station and take a microbus or the train. Best of luck!
I had an option to travel through sphinx int. but I live 15 km away from Cairo int. So I didn't use Sphinx int. This new airport is for people who live in west Cairo
Yes, for some people, the location of CAI is more convenient than SPX. I think SPX is also a great option not for people who live in West Cairo, but for tourists who want to arrive to an airport that is very close to the Giza Plateau, and that serves low-cost European and Middle Eastern airlines.
🌴🇮🇩......look nice 👍 indonesia also prepared to moved the capital city last year to other island complitely with new airport, same a new capital like egypt. 🌝
Hello, we will fly to sphinx airport with my 5 friends, but we do not know if there is a car rental at this airport, can we rent a car at this airport or do we need to go to Cairo airport? I would be very happy if you give me information :)
That’s part of it, but also to allow for folks to quickly fly into Cairo, see the sites that are far away from CAI (Giza Pyramids and the GEM), then fly out same-day. It’s part of Egypt’s larger expansion program for the tourism sector. At this point, the airport doesn’t seem necessary, but with all the projections Egypt is doing regarding drastically increasing the number of tourists per year, the new airport is going to be heavily utilized.
Did you happen to notice where the bank is that you can buy a visa at if you did overstay your visa? I always run into this problem because while I live in Egypt, the area responsible for putting my visa in my passwort never gets in a hurry. As a result I am often required to get a temporary visa sticker like tourists get, and if I leave I usually have overstayed this monthlong visa.
Ok,what if I come to Egypt as a tourist and I want to travel to Jordan under tourist visa ,can I book online and travel to Jordan from Egypt as a Nigerian
Yes, that’s part of the idea. They also see it serving as an easier way for tourists to fly into Cairo for the day from places like Hurghada or Sharm to see the Pyramids, Sphinx, and see the GEM (whenever it finally opens).
On 1 june I was in Saudi Arabia I decided to Egypt because it was my country so I want to king kiledh international airport to sphinx international airport but I ride with a plane called flynas and I arrived at 1 pm

He already mentioned the answer in the video.. it's right next to the pyramids and the grand Egyptian museum.. and it will facilitate (one-day) tourism visiting these sites. Adding to that it will help the 7 million residents in West cairo to travel faster🙄
@@EgyptAdventuresTravel so such expensive new airport would be limited to only one day travelers ! About say maximum 1 million ppl per year. A good metro line would be far more helpful for every citizen. Meanwhile the mentioned airport and expense would have been more worthwhile to be built for the new capital. To add a capacity of say 20 million ppl per year.
That’s not the only type of flights they’ll be serving, that’s just one example. The airport also serves several international flights per day, and more will be added. Plus, like the other commenter said, the New Capital will be having its own airport 👍🏼
Problem of Egypt. Not airport but the people who running airport they make you hate the country. Replace the staff from passport dept till custome they are not qualified to meet people unfortunatly
You had a bad experience with a customs agent? What happened? I’ve never had any issues, nor have my guests, so I’d be interested to hear your experience.
actually Egypt blew me away last week! It's easily the second-best country I've ever been to. Even the airport was impressive with high-quality services and free Wi-Fi (trust me, that's a good sign). Australia still holds the top spot in my heart, but Egypt definitely gave it a run for its money!
It's a developing airport in a developing area, so I anticipate this will be changed soon. Thanks for sharing your experience! It's always a good idea in Egypt to buy a local SIM at the airport upon arrival, or plan ahead for an eSIM package, or use your local cell phone provider and ask about coverage in Egypt. I use GoogleFi as my carrier in the USA, and I get free, unlimited data in Egypt (along with a bunch of other countries), so I didn't need to worry about wifi, and I was able to use my phone to order an Uber (cost about $6 USD total to the center of Cairo).
Really can’t understand countries like Egypt that need tourism more than the tourist needs Egypt, why they insist on visas for E U and USA etc, tourists from Westrn countries are not going to overstay ,
The visa is only $25, and I’ve never heard of any tourists saying that paying $25 is a barrier to them entering Egypt, and I’ve also never heard anyone say that they wouldn’t visit Egypt unless they have a free visa, so I don’t think it would make a difference. I think something that would make a difference is allowing certain countries to get visa upon arrival that currently have to get it in advance, like India and Indonesia.
Visa only costs 25 dollars if you can’t afford that then how are you even traveling ? Considering that airplane ticket alone will cost you like a hundred times more !
i do love your country and culture 😃

You're always welcome brother. Love from Egypt
I love the design of the exterior with the columns. It would be great if flights to Luxor and Abu Simbel could be available sometime in the future.
I agree - the design is cool, and yes, hoping especially for a nonstop to ABS (that doesn’t stop in Aswan) at some point!
Yes. I think you have to fly to Abu Simbel from Cairo International? Such a shame because Wizz have some good prices on occasion
Thanks for all of your videos from Egypt they all valuable information and well done
Glad you like them!

Sounds like it is very easy compared with the main airport.
It's just much smaller, but the main airport is better connected to the city and has more services.

If you hold a British passport, you can buy the visa upon arrival at SPX for 25 GBP or USD or Euros.

I didn’t notice any when I was there, sorry! Does anyone else know?
Do you have any idea why Cairo needed a second airport? Is the main airport over utilized?

Yes
