    Great Review John, GB rocking the video as always. I like this little trainer for a hand launched It seem to fly amazing and very decent price point. Perhaps I will order one next month, we have way too many family deeds that require my attention and I just will not have the time to model/fly/ watch live shows. ✔😎🎥🎬🗽

    I think that you fellahs have not really appreciated what is happening when you hit that left shoulder button. While it works as a fair equivalent to a Spektrum "Panic Button" (as would simply flicking the stabilization switch to the "Angle/Beginner/Self-leveling with pitch and roll limits" position) you are really just engaging RTH. When in RTH (whether selected by hitting the left button OR reaching the "Fence" limits OR (presumably) from losing signal for any reason) the flight controller will automatically go to "Beginner Mode" regardless of what you have set on the Tx.
    Presumably it will then try to turn and climb up to the set minimum RTH height (I think I saw 25m somewhere) before returning to circle the point where it first gained RTH lock at power up. You can regain stick control in whatever mode you have on the Tx by just moving the A/E stick - provided that you have signal connected.
    Unfortunately no video that I have seen ever investigates exactly how the GPS system works. For instance is the "Fence Limit" a purely physical meter/yard limit from a set "Home Point" or a Chinglish way of saying that when you hit the signal limit the plane will automatically return? Check it by sticking the Tx on a stump with "Manual" selected and the throttle pretty low (but motor running) then, with your mate in the back of your pick-up holding the plane at a large pitch/roll attitude, head down the flat until the plane kicks the A/E surfaces over and revs the motor to show it is in RTH. Note the distance and compare to other compass directions around the "Home Point" to see if it is a consistent distance for a circular "Fence Limit". Go back to the Home Point and fly it out to the limit then don't touch the Tx until it has flown home to circle you.
    If it does of course!! You seem to say that the plane acts oddly when in your self-described "Panic Mode" but don't give it even half a chance to display what happens before cancelling the Mode. It is just possible that the plane will circle the "Panic Point" coordinates but that would be unusual - most Chinesium units just return home and circle. Though just recently old Quadcopter101 demoed a little Volantex V761 P-51 that could fly a rough figure 8 after take-off with NO GPS capability!
    Another point that should be checked is whether (like most other Chinese units) you don't have motor control in "Fully Stabilized Mode" (only in "Manual") until you have enough satellites locked to define a :Home Point". Flying off on "Manual" (if possible) BEFORE getting satellite lock will usually mean your "Home Point" will be somewhere out over the nearest river or forest. Get your boat or ladder out if you lose signal for any reason! 😉

    JohnVHRC Would you say this flies similar to a umx Turbo TImber? Got a lot of planes but looking for a daily flier.

    • @JohnVHRC
      @JohnVHRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no, They arent super similar planes compare, the timbers are designed to fly a little slower I feel, but that said, both fly very well, and the gyros make them both amazing.

    Don't get too excited here. Even though this is one cute little plane, it no longer comes with the remote or the receiver. The plug and play option did come with them but it has been discontinued. It is now only available in BNF.
