    So basically, we need the regular cafe racer but with the plus base on it.

    Korua makes the best boards out there. For sure the best ones for the money

      I bumped into the owner in the back country in Japan. Made my day man.

    Hi guys! Love to see a new review about these Koruas. My question is: which one response better on uneven terrain, choosing between Cafe racer/ plus and Pencil/ plus.
    Thanks! Keep going on with this sick channel!💯💯

      This just came out. Have a few older reviews already re-reviewed but need to edit and publish. Which Korua in particular do you want us to update? Thanks!

      @@thegoodridesnow i mean, after i ve checked out that the previous years pencil still identical, id like a quick review for this one, *if any differences. i would purchase the simple variant, not plus*! All the best!💯💯

      So Korua rarely if ever changes the board year to year. Once they make a model they keep it the same way for a long time. The Pencil hasn't changed since I initially reviewed it. I'm updating the review in a few months just to put it in our newer format but its the same ride. The only boards that changed in thier line is the Transition Finder and Transition Finder Plus but we have an updated review to reflect the changes.

    Great review man. I’m really considering the cafe racer classic. I’m just not sure what size 159 or 164? I’m 6’3 210lbs size 12 boot. Normal logic would be 164, but I’m not sure with Korua.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks.164 for sure. The 159 will not boot out but it will feel small for your specs and you might not be as happy.

    Would you consider the pencil more ‘all-mountain’ than the cafe racer? I’m torn between both these boards - I’m coming off a capita Kazu board which is pretty aggressive.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are massively more aggressive than the Kazu which is very chill in comparison. I would say the Otto and Transition Finder are more all mountain in comparison to the rest of Korua's line. The Pencil and Cafe are exceptional boards but have to be ridden a lot differently than your Kazu so hard to say what will work for you based on the info I have. Best carving experience between cafe racer, racer +, Amplid surfari, souly grail?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      All are excellent carvers and drive off the front foot hard but just in different ways. Souly is softer and has less taper than all. Feels very centered between the feet so more playful than the rest. Surfari is next and rides a little more set back/stiff but still feels more centered on board compared to the Cafe Racers that ride much closer to the tail and have much more taper. They are much wider too. You can get the differences between the plus and classic in the review.

    i love you guys! Question: Every time I see someone on a Korua, there is always tons of damage on the topsheet. Are the materials on the plus a lot more rugged? I cant stand spending tons of money on a board then having it be ultra fragile, like my OG Orca. Thanks for the review. Been October obsessing.

    • @horacionochetto8454
      @horacionochetto8454 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hear me out, this may be due to the fact people ride the crap out of them. Like super aggressively.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don't hold up as well as some but I wouldn't make it a deal breaker. I would say the materials are comparable in terms of wear. I'd probably give it to the classics though. Most Ultra/Plus/Mega/etc boards aren't as durable though. Hit me up here if you want more detailed advice on a board shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    I've heard that the Plus is kinda heavy. Is this true?
    It sounds like I want the core construction of the standard Cafe Racer with the top sheet and base of the Plus.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem. No it's not that heavy. It's a normal weight for the surface area and felt lighter than my classic model in the same size for sure. It's just not super light like some plus/ultra-light models are.

    • @TheDerekHyde
      @TheDerekHyde ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Their site says 3.4kg, while the classic is 3.2 kg.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TheDerekHyde wood weighs different from board to board and resin absorbtion is very inconsistant. Some absorb more and others less. That is why you never get the same weight and should never count on your board to weigh what they say it does. That is also why I dont post the official weight for any board. Mine felt lighter than the classic in the same size. Bottom line is don't get this if you want a super light ride.

    • @TheDerekHyde
      @TheDerekHyde ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thegoodridesnow the added snap probably makes it feel lighter

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      It felt lighter when I picked it up from the same place as my classic. Again...weight varies greatly from board to board. Once I weighed 2 brand new Classic 156 Darts and one was almost 1lb heavier than the other.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Two very different boards. TF is more centered on board has less taper, a little less camber, and you ride it a little bit shorter. Does much better for getting air where the Cafe Racer is better in powder. Both carve super hard but Cafe' is a little better.
