But considering what that thing looks like, I think it it(or was planned to be)the metal sonic/mecha sonic from SA1 in the egg carrier base tube/containment cell.

sonic was caught HEAVILY off guard cuz he was acting cocky against eggman, and he slowed down and he didn't really have any time to move out of the way so.
My favourite little detail is how after Furnace fucks off and Starved finishes his dialogue, Sonic starts going faster and doing the peel out or whatever it's called. This gives me the impression that despite Sonic's arrogance and cockiness, Starved genuinely somewhat unnerved him and he started going faster as a result.

Honestly, there's something quite unnerving about furnace if you know his original purpose, it really adds a layer of creep factor to him. Plus, the way he's entirely uncolored save the flames of his boiler, unnerving, I tell you.
The idea of a coal powered metal sonic iteration is actually pretty freaking dope. Really love it when exes go far beyond with the characters insanity and letting it manifest in more forms like how what happened to Dr. Robotniks/Starved's metal sonic here. This is one of my most favorite songs of all time and is super fun to play from start to end!
This is my favorite song in the mod. This really shows how ambitious the mod is. Also, i would love to see an entire exe mod based on starved eggman. He feels way more mature/serious than the other exes.

So, this death confused me for the reason that Sonic had busted through multiple robots at the speed of sound before and came out uninjured, but I played it back and saw Furnace with his claws pointed towards Sonic, similar to the spikes we see in any Sonic level. In Sonic Classics, running into enemies would kill you, regardless of how fast you're moving. This is set in the setting of those times, so this could be following the game logics of the genesis era and Sonic was running on no rings and one life.
The mecha/metal are stronger than eggman other bots so i doubt sonic could destroy one of them easily especially when not trying to and not pay attention plus this one is literally a furnace so if the impact doesn't kill him the heat will also it looks like he got grabbed or impaled since the hand was reaching out

Really love how the song paces itself with the story. First a section against Furnace, where he fails to catch up to Sonic, then a section against Starved, which allows Furnace to fly ahead out of sight, and suddenly catch Sonic off guard at the end.
The thing about this is, you know Eggman had put more effort into this metal. And clearly this eggman isn’t ONLY after eating sonic, he plays with his food. Furnace or whatever is clearly faster but doesn’t immediately catch sonic, instead waiting to get in front of sonic and humiliate and kill him at the same time. And Eggman taunting and singing with sonic only proves how this Eggman is clearly much more sadistic than anyone here could possibly think at first glance. Starved is maybe the best sonic creepypasta I've seen. I really am not into the whole Robotnik infected by some hungry virus thing cause its uncomfy personally... But I think thats what makes it pretty different than other EXEs and Sonic Creepypastas... Also Furnace Sonic bypassing Sonic from Underneat was the coolest detail they made there.

Why is no one talking about the faint Hedgehog Stew leitmotifs in this song, which is fitting considering that Starved's whole shtick is cooking and eating Mobians. I can't be the only who heard those Hedgehog Stew parts.
Okay, so the more obvious references in this song are the Death Egg Robot boss theme, the Sonic 2 boss theme, Stardust Speedway and of course Hedgehog Stew (which nearly killed me with laughter the first time I heard it), but I'm absolutely certain I can also hear the start of Game Over in the background at around 1:27. You have to listen carefully, but it's definitely audible. Even if MX and Starved as characters are fairly unrelated, I still appreciate Armydillo making reference to another pixelated Friday Night Funkin' chase scene!
I got 3 things, first of all, I like the detail that Robotnik's egg pod actually moves with him moving. Also if you pause right before the screen goes red, Furnace disappears, lol. Sonic seems aware of it and the reason he gets cocky is because the other times he dies to Furnace in the first part of the song. So when he wins against Furnace, he gets cocky. Leading to his death, again.

I love this song, but I have one thing to say: Sonic would never die that way. He (knowing he has super speed) must have amazing reflexes, so the fact that Furnace was able to not only sneak past him (which this i can see happening somehow) but also catch him off guard…from the front…where he was looking the entire time…its kinda impossible. Now for everyone saying he was distracted by Starved, yes he was talking and being cocky with him but in the end he always literally was showed as staring straight forward when he wasn’t, meaning he would have seen Furnace a mile before he even slammed into him. Edit: also, if some comments are true for saying Furnace was like coal powered or something, then Sonic literally could take him and Starved. All they are together is a coal driven oven robot and a literal decaying cannibal with no workout routine.

Man, I love the way that Starved goes a different direction than other Sonic.exe type horror. Starved is maybe the best sonic creepypasta I've seen. I really am not into the whole Robotnik infected by some hungry virus thing cause its uncomfy personally... But I think thats what makes it pretty different than other EXEs and Sonic Creepypastas... Also Furnace Sonic bypassing Sonic from Underneat was the coolest detail they made there.

Oh god i just now realized something, starved says "You don't even know your fate hedgehog", which at surface level seems to just mean "I'm going to eat you hedgehog" but if you know starved lore he has the time or chaos emeralds (i can't remember exactly which), which he uses to rewind time just to keep eating sonic, which might be exactly why he says the thing about not know his fate to sonic, while HE does.
I hate myself for thinking this but it really doesn't matter

Even how Sonic dies is Logical (yes it is because Sonic in Sonic classic never *RUNS* into robots, (except when he has a barrier, at least one ring or chaos power), he spindashes, skids, tackles, but never RUNS, because if not he just falls into the abyss with a "ploo-nggg")
And even with super reflexes, he barely even see anything before crashing into Furnace
Why is no one talking about the faint Hedgehog Stew leitmotifs in this song, which is fitting considering that Starved's whole shtick is cooking and eating Mobians. I can't be the only who heard those Hedgehog Stew parts.

Okay, so the more obvious references in this song are the Death Egg Robot boss theme, the Sonic 2 boss theme, Stardust Speedway and of course Hedgehog Stew (which nearly killed me with laughter the first time I heard it), but I'm absolutely certain I can also hear the start of Game Over in the background at around 1:27.
You have to listen carefully, but it's definitely audible. Even if MX and Starved as characters are fairly unrelated, I still appreciate Armydillo making reference to another pixelated Friday Night Funkin' chase scene!

The fact that furnace overtakes sonic while he was going full speed and then knows to wait at the end to kill him makes me question if furnace has a mind of his own
One detail I notice is the voice lines said by both Starved and Sonic,

My theory is that Starved keeps rewinding time to Sonics death, to eat him and start over again. Sonic seems aware of it and the reason he gets cocky is because the other times he dies to Furnace in the first part of the song. So when he wins against Furnace, he gets cocky. Leading to his death, again.
Seeing as to how Starved *DOES* have all the Time Stones, it's plausible
Then Tails steps in and can potentially kill Starved, so he can stop rewinding time

It is horrifying when the player knows the fate of their characters but can't do anything to change it. You are forced to watch the terror behind the screen. But it's pretty entertaining as it is just a game.

I love this song, but I have one thing to say: Sonic would never die that way. He (knowing he has super speed) must have amazing reflexes, so the fact that Furnace was able to not only sneak past him (which this i can see happening somehow) but also catch him off guard…from the front…where he was looking the entire time…its kinda impossible. Now for everyone saying he was distracted by Starved, yes he was talking and being cocky with him but in the end he always literally was showed as staring straight forward when he wasn’t, meaning he would have seen Furnace a mile before he even slammed into him.
Edit: also, if some comments are true for saying Furnace was like coal powered or something, then Sonic literally could take him and Starved. All they are together is a coal driven oven robot and a literal decaying cannibal with no workout routine.

Man, I love the way that Starved goes a different direction than other Sonic.exe type horror. Taking a villain and making them even more horrific and evil, instead of the bait and switch "THE GOOD GUY'S ACTUALLY EVIL" that's just become predictable at this point. In fact, I think having Sonic acting like his cocky old self in this universe adds even MORE of an impact, because of just how much he clashes with the genuine threat of this sickening Mobian muncher
