Best and longest of all Dizzy games.
I used all items(I think so),even a coin was used at the end of video.
There is a secret in this game and you need the coin to unlock that secret.
Here is how it works(01:44:56):
1.Get the coin and a cow
2.Give the coin to shopkeeper
3.Give the cow to Prince(works only if you give the coin to shopkeeper)
4.Go to hole and use Prince´s secret sign at water..
Fun facts about this game:
1.Secret doesnt work in Nes and Amiga versions.
2.Rapid part is totally missing from Megadrive version.
3.You dont need to do Bubble Dizzy minigame to get oxygen tool.
4.There is a dead end in this game. Leave a rope to a place where you can only reach with it.
5.Oxygen tool is useless at Bubble game. -

It's almost like a little secret that Brits and Slavs (and some other Europeans) shared together, while the rest of the world knew almost nothing about this underrated hidden gem of a series. :)
@@sheilaburrowes9081 in Russia we had Dendy (chinese NES clone) with pirated cartridges (often with funny titles like "Mario 6" and changed sprites), and regarding Sega, we had tweaked Mega Drive with EU/US/JP tumbler (so we could play games produced in any region).
And yeah, Dizzy was quite popular, despite no one could pass it till the end :)
I have to say this is one of those games as a kid that had me seriously stressed.

Jesus, I played this game in China around 1996 but never beat it, I dont even know where my dad got the floopy disk from, considering there were very limited Internet users and international airlines at middle 90's...thx 4 uploading this video!
This game wasn’t as mainstream as Sonic games or any other big titles from sega, but the gameplay is sooo rewarding. As a kid this game got me hooked and it actually required you to think and figure things out. One of my favorites for sure!

This game. Truly made a good memory when i was a kid. I always get stuck and get super annoyed. But now that i think about it i actually had so much fun ❤. Even the backround music it has still plays inside my head if i try to think about it probably hundreds of hours spent😂

Such a beautiful game. Art is amazing. Dunno why but somehow I can feel The Story and know that all things depends only on my smalleggy shoulders to save this once was beautiful world.(new games do not make this much immersions to me). I really thought this games was unbeatable when I was a kid. But one time after many years(4 years was very many) when I was like 16 or smth like that I try'ed this adventure once more in on my crappy gradma PC. Was trying all night and I remember I failed. :D. Then next summer( I think) I tryed once more. Was so much focused. And maybe tooo much FOCUSED :D. Died I think only once with all lifes from scrolls that is possible to get in my life bar amlost not fitting. I finally did it. Wow good feeling and good adventure :). (SRY for bad English)

Fantastic dizzi is so fantastic hard. But what is "purple rain bonus"?
Before completing Dora's quest, approach the prince in the Yolkfolk woods and give him the small pigmy cow having already received the bean from the salesman. A message will pop up: "My name is PRINCE and I am FUNKY! GO FOR PURPLE RAIN BONUS!!!!"
He will drop an item called "Prince's secret sign", which can be used in the cave under the graveyard. If placed in the water, purple rain will appear and the player will be awarded 250,000 points.
Although you lose the cow in the process, the game can still be completed since a large gold coin serves the exact same purpose in regular gameplay.

Yeah, mine too. I had this when I was super young on the Sega Genesis and I still have it 👍 the graphics are still as colorful as ever, great game.
Wow I never knew about the prince thing at the end. 250,000 bonus points. But unfortunately points don't mean prizes.
Pretty cool that it has weather and a day/night cycle.
Oh, the secret sign you gain from the prince and the message you get is a reference to Prince, the musician.
One annoying factor in this amazing game, you couldnt save your progress.. you had to have a full day of it or it just wasnt gonna work

The Slifer I always gave up when the only stars left were in the mine cart ride... bloody thing.
Quite funny and interesting that this game was made, way before they went to making simulation style games like DiRT Rally, F1, GRID, etc.
I WAS BORN IN 2012 BUT ITS STILL THE BEST GAME! If only I still had a mega drive... 😢
Fantasy World Dizzy was my favourite, had it on the PC.
Loved this game when I was younger but I could never figure out where to plant the bean! The spectrum games you planted it in manure taken me 20 years to work out the picture on the sign was of a bean! 🙈🙈🙈

The umbrella protects you from acid in the city tunnels and other locations It's not really necessary though, because the acid can easily be avoided without it.

This Fucking Game.... I play this game for hours because you couldn't save the game collecting 250 stars when I was around 10 years old only to get to the end with two lives to be defeated by the last boss. Just to read game over at the end of it I was furious. My brother heart broken I fail and never play the game again. The worse thing was seeing the boss die as the magic rebounding back at him only thing was i died too. The painful memory of my adventure still haunt me now.
venomgold this same thing literally just happened to me now! First time playing this game since my early teens, this time with a walkthrough since I never managed to finish it (got about 3/4 of the way) despite numerous painful attempts.
3 hours and 249 stars later I'm in Zack's castle, realising I've missed one somewhere. ONE!!!
Backtracked to the town and found it in a dead end. Somehow managed to die TWICE on the way back to the castle (no bloody fruit left anywhere at this stage!), leaving me with just one life to ascend the final stairwell with. My first ever attempt at that part. Failed miserably. Got killed by the donkey kong fireballs. Game over screen.
3 hours of effort down the drain. Can't believe I got out right at the very end! Bloody gutted doesn't even begin to describe it!
So here I am watching the ending online because I cbf doing all that ever again... >.

Same story with this as with all the Dizzy games. Could do all the puzzles and finish the story but there was always a few stars/coins/cherries/diamonds I couldn't find.
Compared to NES version, this one is a cakewalk

I would agree with many, that the music in this one is better than the Amiga version, but the CD32 has music on-CD, which is even better than this!
I can see some of the graphic effects are better here too, such as when you get a star. I never had a mega drive though, only Amigas.

@ReloadPsi The PC version has the songs in the same places as the Genesis version, so I would wager the Amiga version is the odd one out for swapping those two.
So while I don't like how Crystal Kingdom makes its puzzles more obvious by being split into distinct chapters (obvious in that having a chapter transition makes it absolutely clear you don't need any items that were in the previous area for later) this game probably really needed that and a password system.
I can beat the game in a single sitting nowadays, but the first time I ever did was with emulator saves. Before then, the closest I'd ever come to finishing it was reaching the beginning of Cloud Castle, but the sheer rate of attrition from all the backtracking and the damage you'd inevitably take meant I'd never quite survive to the end, even though I'd effectively fully "solved" the game's puzzles by that point. The first time I ever saw the stars go down to double digits was really damn exciting though after all the weeks of play just learning the game :P
I have a important question! In the end we get the Prince item, they mention something about purple rain bonus? You put it in the subterranean water but nothing happened...

SOLVE
-----
First of all, collect the leaf and the match. Push the leaf under the door and
use the match on it. Collect the bucket of water and use this on the blazing
door. Once the fire has been extinguished, go left until you reach the green
Troll. Collect the pickaxe and go right to chat with the Prince. He will give
you a flying carpet, but do not pick it up - it's a red herring. Keep on walking
right and collect the cage. In the next room stand right at the edge of the
cliff, jump right to land on the cloud and collect the piece of paper that
you'll find there. Fall off the cloud and use the pickaxe on the boulder to
reveal a secret cave.
After you've entered the cave, collect everything then stand on the highest
platform. Jump up-right and you should land in a small passage where you should
collect the golden nugget. Go to the river and jump onto the boat. When it
arrives at the opposite side of the river, jump off the boat and walk towards
the ferry man who will take the golden nugget from you and let you pass. Talk to
him and he will ask you to speed up his boat. Look behind the stereo to find a
cherry.
On the next screen, drop the cage next to the Fluffle (he won't go into it
though). Climb up the platform to the above screen where there is a large gap.
Use the bridge building kit on it to form a wooden bridge. Walk into the next
room (which is called the 'Narrow Ledge') then jump onto the clouds and onto the
tower. When you are in the tower, collect the Harp and come back out onto the
'Enchanted TreeTops'. Look behind the tree house door to reveal a cherry and go
up onto the next screen where you should jump left off the far left platform.
Carry on jumping across the clouds and into the next screen, called 'Heaven'.
Give the harp to Saint Peter and he will reward you with some Holy Cheese. Take
the cheese all the way back to the Fluffle, place the cheese in the cage and the
Fluffle should enter the cage. If you drop the cage in front of the Troll
(guarding the castle entrance), it'll become scared and scarper. Now you can
enter the castle...
Once inside the castle, go up the first lift and collect the motor. Move onto
the next screen and use the lift to travel upwards. When the lift stops, go to
the far right, collect the rusty key then return to the lift and ascend once
again. Collect the two cherries on the next floor and then return to the bottom
floor again. Walk to the left and collect the bread. Once you have the loaf,
take a trip back to the ferry man, give him the motor and he will give you a
scythe.
Go right and climb over the trees towards the 'Narrow Ledge'. Jump along the
clouds, onto the tower and use the scythe on the ivy. Travel right, up the lift
and collect the horn. Go left up, the other lift, walk right and use the lift
there. If you jump left off this lift at the very top you should reach a
deserted tower. Use the rusty key on the door and you will find Daisy inside but
you won't be able to wake her because you are not a prince. Go back down and
jump onto the upper platform.
From the lift, carry on left until you find a pair of tweezers. Once the
tweezers are collected you can jump up to land on a secret cloud where you will
find a cherry. Now it's time to go back to the lion.
When you reach the lion, give him the tweezers and he will repay you with a
thorn. Go and see the Prince, give him the horn and he will give you a joke
book. Go right towards the tower and onto the screen where the evil Dizzy is.
Drop the thorn on the floor, go up to the upper level and make the evil Dizzy
walk onto the thorn. Go back down and you should now be able to pick up the
spanner. Take the spanner back to the castle and use it on the lever to lower
the drawbridge. Cross the drawbridge, give the joke book to the upset Princess
and she will reward you with a flag. Take this flag up to the top of the castle
and place it on top of the flagpole. The Prince should now appear and call the
King. Talk to the King and he will make you a Prince. Go back to Daisy, give her
a big snog and if you have collected twenty cherries, you've completed the game!

I don't think plain water drops should be a problem, when later in the game, you swim in the ocean. It just doesn't make sense to me, so I've always called it acid.
Yes, that's acid. E.g. the hydrochloric acid dissolves eggs like nobody's business.
