    Firebox is 1/3 the length of the cooking chamber. Rubber tires by the firebox is not a good idea. 99% of all Americans need a 3/8” firebox. 1/2” steel for the fire box is actually more insulating if you have a customer in northern Alaska. Cheers!!

    • @LVSMOKERS
      @LVSMOKERS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry not to sure what your saying…? It’s 1/4 steel and it’s an insulated firebox? No need to worry. 🤙🏻

    • @Isovapor
      @Isovapor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LVSMOKERS I can buy a 1/4 inch steel smoker at Walmart. You live in Nevada. There is zero use for an insulated firebox unless you live in Canada or Alaska. 3/8 inch cook chamber and firebox will be the most any American will ever need in a smoker. Nevada with an insulated firebox is absurd. Save your money and upgrade the 1/4 inch cook chamber to 3/8. Constructive criticism is always useful! Cheers!!

    • @LVSMOKERS
      @LVSMOKERS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      🤔 You know, having an insulated firebox helps maintain your fire and keeps the temp dialed. It doesn’t matter where you live to have an insulated firebox. Most of my customers live out of state. I’m all good on your advice and I’m doing just fine, but thanks anyway. Cheers!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

    • @Isovapor
      @Isovapor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LVSMOKERS I’m going to happily have to disagree. Having an insulated fire box and a 1/4” cooking chamber is like driving a Ferrari with a Chevy Malibu body. No one would buy this vehicle. Pitmasters like myself do care about constant and even temperatures in the COOKING CHAMBER. Your cooking chamber is 1/4” and wildly varies in temperature due to wind, humidity, outside temperature because of the thin metal. No one building offset smokers is boasting that their firebox maintains a constant temperature. Never seen one video of a constant temp in an offset FIREBOX.. Never. I have seen biscuit tests and thermodynamic tests in the COOKING Chamber. An insulated firebox is useless when you have a cheap 1/4” cooking chamber. If you have customers that pay for a 1/4” steel cooking chamber with an insulated firebox, I guess keep selling. Cheers!!🤙🏻🤙🏻
