The opening ceremonies we remember the Olympics because that’s what they are about, but by the BBC not showing the opening ceremony, it’s brought attention to the opening ceremony of the football World Cup itself.

The BBC is funded by license payers (a choice to be had there) and by sales of their productions to non BBC outlets. There is no choice for the majority of us when it comes to taxation.

Rich Middle Eastern ordinary citizen has 2 to 3 cars with bigger houses, a better salary, and healthcare. They have modern cities, great infrastructure, no crime, and are very peaceful to live in because the people are disciplined. I think they are the real rich countries on the planet. Their government takes care of their citizen well, they have a bigger salary than foreigners and most of them are working in the government what more can you ask for.
