Good video. it's a fantastically designed figure. The neck on mine was super tight and made those squeaky noises when turned but a drop of silicone grease fixed that.
Thanks! Yeah, I think this is one of those releases where the manufacturing tolerances wasn't super consistent, but I think I'd have rather had what you go than one with a floppy neck that won't stay up.
Much appreciated, Deluxe! I would definitely still like to do a live chat, and will have to get back to you. It's unbelievable how fast this summer came and went. 🫤
i wish your video came out sooner, i had so much trouble trying to figure out how to transform it 😂 i had to watch multiple different videos to figure it out, and even then i still had trouble, because those videos aren't as detailed as yours the way i transform it, is those little pegs on the tail that are supposed to connect to those gray flaps, i just tuck the gray flaps behind it, and the tail stays pegged in even though its not connected to the gray panels, i know that's not the right way to do it, but doing it like this made it feel a lot more secure and fit into the box charger a lot easier
If this helped, I'm glad it was useful! Yeah, I found those tail/quarter panel tabs to be pretty fiddly, as well. It's a pretty good transformation overall, other than that part and those midsection panels that don't connect the way it seems like they should.
i also wish you did videos on the beast drive line, because they have some really interesting figures, like the newest one they just released is a "lightning wyvern" and it is so cool the articulation on the beast drive lines are surprisingly good
There are definitely some cool Beastdrive designs; I just never got into them. I would certainly be open to reviewing them if 52Toys wanted to send demo pieces or whatever, but time isn't really favorable to me these days. 🤷♂️
I was originally kinda interested in this BB cos Komodo Dragon is one of my fav reptiles. I'm not keen on the purple colour and the report of the weak neck joint has put me off from getting him. I may wait for a redeco or a Chimelong Zoo redeco. Can easily see the zoo changing the purple to a greyish green colour they are know for!
There's almost no question there'll be an alternate version in the future; I would expect whatever that is (limited release or otherwise) will have fine-tuned tolerances, not unlike Deep Purple, Lotus, etc. I didn't explicitly spell it out in this review, but I kind of feel like Kommando is a linear heir to Jawbreaker, both by color & style, and being evolutionary siblings. So a slightly different take from Dio/Megadio, Delta/Sigma, that sort of thing.
This actually pretty cool. Keep the good work🐊
Thank you! I appreciate you watching; I had a lot of fun putting this tree review together.

Great and very detailed review as always good sir! Great and funny intro! Would love to have you on my Around 30 show sometime!
