    I love Matteo. His comedy is relatable and he's fun to watch overall. I need to buy a ticket when he comes to town.

    I hope he can do voice acting some day cause the voices he brings out are really underrated and kinda nail it.

    If you rewatch the Disney robinhood animation it is sooo clear that the villain lion and snake are in a gay relationship.

    I remember as a kid hearing about the lynching of matt shepard, it affected me for years even after i came out myself

      And there are even more Matthew Shepards every year.
      The latest ones I think were DeAndre Matthews and Blaze Bernstein, the latter of which killer was sentenced like 2 weeks ago. (Stabbed 28 times, in the face, eyes, and neck)

    If Matteo Lane doesnt play Skeletor in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie we should boycott.

    Skeletor was the buffest of all, making him the sexiest.

    With my parents, I really lucked out. I didn’t have to tell them. My mother told me very calmly and off-handedly. My father asked about my roommate and then asked me if I was “like that” very calmly. With neither one was it ever mentioned directly again, but all was well and completely cool. Except my mother did ask a few times if there was anyone special.

    Thank you for sharing!
    I hadn't thought of it that way, being that I would never intentionally belittle someone's tra umatic experience. I had a strong feeling that there might be something going on with my son when it was a soul crushing, drop down to floor, heartfelt sobbing when the Dorothy ruby slippers didn't fit my 4 yr old son. I don't think he thought much about 'gay' at that time in life- but with his instinctive reaction in the situation, I knew there would be some difficult times for him ahead.... with that in mind I made sure it was clear that everyone deserves love in form that works for them (regardless of what some say) and he thanked me for it when he came out and said he felt good in his own skin for it. ❤

    As a straight cis man, I just recently realized how almost every cartoon villian is more or less queercoded. Not only Disney, all of them. If they only got some love and acceptence, no one would need super heros.

    • @infidelmat
      @infidelmat 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Dont confuse "queercoding" with narcissistic personalities which is what is being portrayed by the villain typecast. It just so happens that narssism is prevalent (celebrated) in the outspoken part of the so-called (non-existent) gay community. Narcissistic behavior is the cornerstone of the drag queen diva character. It's why alot of normy-gays hate all the BS coming out of the space and dont want to be painted with the clown world brush. Cue the self-hating homophobia retorts against me lol 🫤🙄

      Though maybe the tiniest bit trite, that was nonetheless a gorgeously expressed sentiment.

    Being gay in the early 90s was not cool, even dangerous -- now it's the coolest thing in the world!

      Nah, gay is still used as a pejorative, kids are unaliving themselves because of bullies and homophobia because it gets So bad... still, however There are kids today who find more community, and have more ways to build up the defenses.

      Atlanta here, since 1985. I’ve never had problems socially but was fired from an insurance company by my boss when she found out; that was 1992. Things have changed.

    Ugh TH-cam clickbait annotated screenshots. “Watch this before they delete it” or “I can’t believe they said that” now this. He is right about things being generational, imagine living in the 1600s and you tell your washwoman mother, or your drunkard father you can read.

    I disagree. Yes it's rude to tell someone that you knew they were gay. Never say that!
    But it's really hard to sit by and quietly watch someone struggle with societal expectations and not be able to say or do anything to help ease their discomfort.

    • @ericdwhitmorec
      @ericdwhitmorec 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately, gay (which is still used as a pejorative today, when they are just not out and out saying the F slur...) still has too much on it...just Paul Lynde it and let them know they are "Special!" Just the way they are, and let them come to exactly what that is ... When they are ready

      if they didn’t feel comfortable to come out to you, you were part of the problem

      To your 2nd comment, I have that take on what Matteo said. Absolutely, I'm putting up the rainbow posters & wearing "I'm safe to come out to" buttons for those folks.
      All I ask is that others don't insert themselves into my self-development stories (on so many topics BTW) by saying they knew all along.

  • @kagigebiquillboxes8565

    That whole "we knew before you did" or "I already knew . . xyz . . " is unkind, uncharitable, tone-deaf . . . . some many things. Gawd - just shut up and let person in front of you pour their hearts out. You don't need to come off as all-knowing or more clever or whatever that is. Ick.
