I'm 55 & remember her amazing show with Harvey Korman, Tim Conway and a cast of amazing, funny people. Classic tv which will never be topped
As a kid in the late 70'/early 80's i never realized the true talent this whole cast had on the show. Comedy acting doesn't get more talented than this crew week in and week out. ❤️
My parents watched this and laughed hard. Being little i didn't find the humor, but FF to middle age and this stuff is comedic gold that you will never find in 2022 for a variety of reasons.
Too loud and screamy like American Comedy to this day.
Along with the fake audience laugh which is just cringeworthy.
Do yourself a favour and search some British Comedy from the same time.
@@richardjones2811 Oh, Richard, don't be a dick. Us Yanks think this is hilarious. Could be that a youngster like you just doesn't get the humor. British comedy is also great, especially Monty Python and Benny Hill, which is from this same era.

Yes, and she had an ensemble cast that all enjoyed working with each other. Sometimes the funniest bits were when they broke character and couldn't stop laughing at each other. For this skit, I'm wondering who the writers were, it's fabulously well written.
When Carol’s voice goes all screamy and high pitched…always a laugh. 😂

Carol liked to poke fun at up tight behavior and neurotic women, and her performances were priceless.. There's definitely an art to silliness, and she knew how to be perfectly silly.
The Carol Burnett Show was pretty much the funniest thing on tv when it originally aired. I watched the early ones in black & white; my parents hadn't gotten a color tv yet.
I never realized Carol had such great gams! Just LOOK at those legs! WOW!

I used to watch the Carol Burnett Show and Red Skelton Show with my grandparents. Humor they could appreciate and as a teen I could too. We looked forward to watching it together - wholesome skits and great comedy from Tim and Harvey. Tim was so funny Harvey had a hard time keeping in character.
My folks didn’t like Carol Burnett, so I never got to watch these growing up. I’ve been enjoying the zaniness through clips like this and reruns on nostalgia channels.
Tim Conway always messed with Harvey Korman-- The story goes that Tim would Ad-lib his lines, and not follow the script!!!! Harvey lost it almost every time!!!!!
When my sister needed skits for school, she would tape Carol Burnett. They had the best writers! :)

The end was priceless. The way he treated his wife, Carol, in the skit reminds me of how far women have come since back then. from 2022 it was fun to see the old suitcases, telephone, and I had a coat just like the one she wore.

This is spot on. We spent two winters at a nudist resort in California. New couples would show up on the weekend. From the office to a restroom near our RV. This is where you disrobe to continue the tour. Usually the wife would opt out at that point. Husband always disappointed.

Look what shorts have done to people, we used to be around the tv and watched these shows, or maybe I was weird and loved the classics, either way it’s sad times we are in.
I Grant, my grand father's name is also Cutler and he was proud of his irish roots.He married my grand mother who was a french speaking from Montréal.I would cry a lot when he passed away in the 80's.

That show was the best part of Saturday nights when I was young.
Her line deliveries were perfect in this entire skit, but I don't think anything beats the way she shakes her head and pleadingly says "seven" after he says he will count to three.

But that's the best part of good comedy writing, a great build up about nudity then ending with a poison ivy joke, totally unexpected which oddly makes it even funnier!! 🤪🤣🤣🤣
