"Control tower. This is Nannnceeee!"
😂 they mentioned every tragedy, fiction and non fiction 😂
Could she have possibly come up with more disasters?? Hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣
This sketch never get old 🤣 😂
Carol's writers nailed this sketch, it's so good. Every aspect of "Airport 75" is here, and almost every character is poked fun at, including Gloria Swanson (in the 1974 thriller she was prepping her autobiography book via a tape recorder).
So agree. I've always been a huge fan of "Airport: 1975" so the first time I saw the sketch, I thought how perfectly they captured the satire. Plus, they threw a little bit of the original "Airport" with Harvey Korman and his explosive suitcase. Just brilliant.
@@supertrouper2550 There's actually a full two-part version of this sketch on YT (I believe it was captured off the TV Land channel), totaling 20 minutes. Tubi also has the uncut parody and it's about 20 minutes too.
I love stuff like this. When I was a kid I wished I could do this as an adult, play wacky characters on a comedy show. Never happened but I still enjoy videos of Carol and her buddies doing their thing in the 1970s.
"Airport '75"
*released in '74*
@@laslalal8451 I edited my comment to reflect the correct year.
Nora Desmond cracks me up, lol!!
Always a Great laugh on the Carol Burnett show ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Carl Reiner was taking his role from it's mad mad, world.
Her sketches never get old. I was rather upset when her show was cancelled 😢
It wasn’t cancelled, Carol ended it herself.
I heard it was cancelled when it went down in the ratings because of The Love Boat.
@@yvonnegutierrez1112 No, the show was dropping in the ratings so Carol decided to end it before the Network cancelled it. It was really difficult for everyone. Carol said that half the team wanted to continue but Carol made the ultimate executive decision. I think the last season was 1978.
Thank you for clarifying that. I appreciate it 🙏
Hilarious!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
L O V E the ending - TOTALLY caught me off guard!
Comedy Gold!
Carol got meta in this sketch! I love it. 😂❤️👏🏻
I remember this.❤
Love Carol!!!
I loved Ken Berry mocking the song.
Yo veia,el programa de Carol Burnett, era excelente, era una gran comediante,me hacia reir mucho.como ella no habra otra.nadie puede reemplazarla.
So much was put into her shows. She is one of a kind!!!❤
Mama's Family Surprise other than Vicki as the Nun Ken Berry played Vinton Harper!
That was a really good one.
Fun!
At least it's not "Airplane (1980)"
Forgot about that movie 😂😂
Where you think they came up with the concept?
@@Drummerchick2003 Airplane! was a spoof of this type of movie, but it is also a huge tribute/parody of a 1957 b&w movie called Zero Hour, with scenes copied nearly verbatim at times.
"Airplane!" is awesome. Love that flick, saw it in the theater at age 14 and nearly collapsed from laughing. They parodied so many things, it was insane. I still don't get every single reference but it's an amazing comedy movie.
@@eduardo_corrochio yay someone knows
You might want to change the clip title: "Titantic" -> "Titanic" :-) But the clip is fun!
🤣🤣🤣
Good impersonation of Karen black.
Cute
Who was the actress who played the second nun with the bass?
Is that Rita Moreno?
NO
She wasn't a guest on this episode.
Carol Burnett
The people who made "Airplane" really wasted their time, money, and so-called "talent." Nothing can top this.
This sketch was called Disaster '75, so why call it Titanic Airlines?
What happened to the inflatable autopilot smoking a cigarette?
Great parody to Airport '75😂🤣😎
Excellent performers and great writing - winning combo every week back in those days.
