Russia has used a thermobaric 1.5 tonne gliding bomb in the city of Vovchansk today. The question is whether such weapons can be used in urban areas. The west should put pressure on Ze to end the war coz NK soldiers are coming. RU says it intends to gradually increase the number of NK troops to 150k. Ukra stands no chance.

The United States must understand that supplying weapons to Taiwan will have extremely serious consequences, Chinese Defense Ministry Spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang stated at a briefing.
"The Taiwan issue is the most critical among China’s core interests; it represents the first red line in China-US relations that must not be crossed," he said, addressing reports of a potential $2 bln arms sale package for the island. "China urges the United States to fully comprehend the serious consequences of supplying weapons to Taiwan and what may occur if provocations continue," the spokesperson added.
According to Zhang, "the US is exploiting Taiwan to bolster its own defense industry."
Earlier, the US Department of Defense’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced that the Department of State had approved an arms package for Taiwan valued at nearly $2 bln, which would include the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) and radar systems.
Taiwan has been governed by its local administration since 1949, when the remaining Kuomintang forces, led by Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975), retreated to the island after being defeated in China’s civil war. However, Beijing regards Taiwan as one of its provinces.
Washington severed diplomatic relations with Taiwan in 1979, establishing ties with China. While recognizing the One China policy, the US continues to engage with the Taipei administration and supply weapons to the island. According to estimates from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the US has provided over $70 bln in military assistance to Taiwan in recent years.

Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya rejected on Thursday the possibility of "freezing" the front lines in Ukraine after a report by German newspaper Bild suggested the measure is part of Kiev's "victory plan." Nebenzya also told a UN Security Council meeting that "there will be no entry of Ukraine into NATO in one form or another."Nebenzya claimed Ukrainian troops are suffering losses because they have "lost trust" in President Volodymyr Zelensky. "Without the West's direct entry into a war with a nuclear power... Ukrainian troops will continue to retreat and suffer catastrophic losses," he said.

The unipolar era when the US was the only dominant superpower has given way to a multipolar world, retired US General Mark Milley admitted on Tuesday at a meeting of the American Bankers Association in New York.
The former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, who served under both presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden, said that there were now three superpowers in the world: the US, Russia and China.
“During the Cold War there were two [superpowers], immediately following the Cold War there was a unipolar moment, so for a short time the US clearly was preeminent and the only real superpower out there,” according to Milley.
“But today, it is clear that we are in a multipolar world,” Milley said.

It would be interesting to know if there is a net profit or loss so far for countries supporting Ukraine. I don't ask this to criticise support for Ukraine, but those opposed often state a monetary cost to the support which is ignoring the possible benefits such as using munitions that we would otherwise have to pay to be disposed of, or the jobs and the economic boost that is created as a consequence of manufacturing new weapons. I know this sounds rather cold when the cost in lives is astronomical and the true cost isn't purely monetary, but the reality is it's a question that is being asked and used as a reason to stop support

Footage released by the Russian Defence Ministry has confirmed the submarine launch of an RSM-56 Bulava intercontinental range ballistic missile from the Sea of Okhotsk near Japan. The new missile class was operationalised in 2018, and is deployed from the country’s most modern class of nuclear powered strategic submarine the Borei Class. Each missile carries up to 1.5 megatons of nuclear force split between up to ten warheads - approximately 100 times the nuclear force used against Hiroshima by the U.S. Army Air Force in 1945. The Russian Navy’s fleet of ballistic missile submarines is split between the Arctic and the Pacific fleets, with the bulk of its ships deployed under the former. The fleet of Borei Class submarines currently stands at eight ships, and is expected to be expanded to fourteen, with the class’ performance having led the planned fleet size to be expanded by 40 percent.
The Russian Defence Ministry subsequently released footage showing the launch of the submarine launch of an R-29RMU Sineva intercontinental range ballistic missile, a lighter and shorter ranged counterpart to the Bulava that first entered service in 2007. The launch was carried out from the Barents Sea. The smaller misses were developed to be accommodated by the Russian Navy’s smaller and older Soviet designed Delta IV Class ballistic missile submarines, effective revolutionising the capabilities of these older ships. Although retaining a comparable range to the Bulava, Sineva missiles can only carry four nuclear warheads.
The Russian Armed Forces launched a third class of intercontinental range ballistic missile, the RS-24 Yars, which was fired from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome around 800 kilometres north of Moscow. The system forms the backbone of the Russian land based strategic nuclear forces today, with half of all ground-based ICBM regiments having been re-equipped with Yars missiles by mid-2021 - for a total arsenal of over 180 ICBMs. The Yars represents a lighter counterpart to the heavier R-36 and RS-28 Sarmat silo based missiles that are approximately four times as large. Approximately 90 percent of Yars missiles are road mobile, with each designed to carry three 200 kiloton nuclear warheads.

Vandal drones attack a column of Ukrainian BMP-2s in the Kursk region
    th-cam.com/video/fVVWdutLPPg/w-d-xo.html
We publish new footage of the use of the Russian FPV drone "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky", controlled via fiber optic cable. In the video, the kamikaze drone "Vandal" attacks a Ukrainian column of armored vehicles in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region of Russia. The column consists of three BMP-2 and moves in foggy conditions, hoping that it will not be detected. The kamikaze drone "Vandal" attacked a Ukrainian BMP-2 of Soviet manufacture, judging by the video, the BMP-2 had already been damaged by another drone. As a result of the drone strike, a fire started in the BMP-2, which completely destroyed the combat vehicle. The video shows attacks on two BMP-2s, one has a mesh "barbecue", the other is iron. All three BMP-2s were destroyed. What happened to the BMP crews is unknown.

Putin oversees massive nuclear drill simulating response strikes
    th-cam.com/video/4Zm0vuND02s/w-d-xo.html
    ShanghaiEye魔都眼
Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday supervised a large-scale nuclear exercise, aiming at simulating a nuclear response and featuring the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles. Speaking in a video call with military leaders, Putin again made his country’s stance crystal clear.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the exercise is intended to practice “in response to a nuclear strike by the enemy”. All the missiles reached their designated targets, according to the ministry.
Putin has previously cautioned the US and NATO that that allowing Ukraine to use Western-supplied longer-range weapons for strikes deep inside Russia would put NATO at war with his country.
