I came later to appreciate this great series called "Friends." I wished I had the time but I was working 2 jobs just to keep debts paid. However, when I got the chance, I enjoyed all of the cast in their unusual situations which became funny as we got to know who these characters were.
Let's not forget no one of the cast and crew had any experience with addiction and they were all very young to understand in 1994 there was very limited information for people looking on the outside and the advice was always they needed to ask for help which is not true. You need to let them know you're there to help them.
For everyone who is writing ugly words, I hope you never have to deal with any type of abuse, I don’t think y’all could live through it. Your of weak minded character.
Was it a choice? No-one would choose to live like that. It demonstrates that it can strike anyone no matter who you are. The same personality that made him a great comic actor seems to in many cases come with these demons. See it with many comedians, talented people. Self destructive dark side and mental anxiety disorders.
