I feel like every song coming off this album (3 now) show incredible growth and depth from Mark as a songwriter and vocalist. I appreciate his subdued guitar solo - staying in the lower registers - which is appropriate for the message and feel of this song. (Fun to watch Bruce have the same reactions and smiles in the same place throughout the song, as I did.) Excited for the full album release!
Also, Eric Friedman is a great compliment to Tremonti. I love everything he's been a part of as well. Check him out with AB drummer Scott Phillips and Sevendust members Vince Hornsby and John Connolly. Was also in a band with former drummer Garret Whitlock the Tremonti helped out called Submersed. All great music.
Oh man I didn’t realize all the connections! I saw Submersed open up for Alter Bridge way back in like 2004 and fell in love with first album of theirs. I remember hearing that Mark was a big supporter of them.
@@ravenlunatic1168 Absolutely agree! Eric and Mark are perfect together. And Tanner Keegan's bass on this album is great, too. Glad to see he was brought onboard after filling in for WVH. Tanner's onstage energy live also brings a great dynamic to the group, and he's a heck of a blues guitar player and singer when he's not with Tremonti. :)
Totally agree with you, those bass notes are called triplets and basically they are played kind of on a different time signature than the rest of the melody; so, he's playing two time signatures, AND singing at the same time. Talk of a music master to say the least.
That song has so many vibes. The solo vibes are from One Day Remains, the Chorus from Blackbird, the main riffs from A Dying Machine! So wonderfully great.
Mano! Beleza?! Não sei se você vai sacar português, mas tanto faz... Parabéns pela atenção aos detalhes dessa canção! Ótima análise! Essa música é incrível!!! A bateria... O clímax até o refrão... O solo meio "dark".... O fim! Arrebatador!!! Acho que é a melhor composição dele!!!
Mine too! I saw him live with creed back in 2001/2002? and he blew me away! I went out the next day and bought a guitar and amp and started learning! Loved his stuff with creed, then alter bridge and now tremonti. A true music legend 👌
Tremonti is AMAZING! The title of the video says "March of time", but the real name of the track is "Marching in Time". Great reaction tho! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you for doing this reaction. Tremonti is my favourite guitarist of all time. Tremonti and Alter Bridge are really underrated. And IMO, this song is epic. Can you please react to Alter Bridge In Loving Memory live at kerrang radio? Please.. ❤️
I am so baffled by them being underrated and maybe it's because of the positivity both Alter Bridge and Tremonti give in their lyrics. Man with Marks voice becoming better/stronger, he and Myles will become even better. Love these guys!!!
damn! such a great song! kinda unexpected from Tremonti solo project, this sound more like alter bride than the recent alter bridge I love the proggy elements, around 9:17 of the In the Presence of Enemies, Pt. 2 there's some similar pattern
1:38 Mark mastered this kind of travis picking's derivative along his carreer. That's one of his special weapons when he's composing clean guitar stuff. it's amazing!
call me crazy but he is better than petrucci. Well done Bruce and yes we know Creed is damn good eff the haters creed sold over 40 million records and the human clay LP is one of the best selling albums in history!!! Mark, bury the past and get with scott in nashville come on man!!
I love how we are hearing Mark's Vocals and they're getting better from album to album
They really are. I thought I had read somewhere that he was self conscience about his voice when he first started, but he’s so good.
I think the drumming in these two singles has been stellar so far. Mark has been great of course well the whole band really

Props to the drums on that outro too. Loved Garret's work on previous albums, but Ryan killed it in this song.

Tremonti has Been my guitar Idol since I was in High School 1998!! Been playing guitar since 1995! lol

Oops! Thanks for the correction! I fixed it

Alright yea I’ll check it out! I love that song, but I don’t think I’ve heard that version

Tremonti is absolutely amazing!!!
He has more of a progessive feel to him as he has matured as a songwriter, he does this with his band and Alter Bridge which I love.
I like what you said about positive lyrics, besides a being a great song. Just discovered them recently.
I love Tremonti
Me too!
