  • Here is a short video showing the power and accuracy of the Airforce Airguns Texan .257 caliber airgun. I filled the gun a little over 3000 psi and had the power wheel turned 3/4 of the way up. This will be good for ram and coyote size animals down to small critters especially at long range.

    Sweet accuracy and power from the Aeromagnums... my Condor is with Doug right now for a conversion, along with a Talon Tunes tank..... I also purchased the Ronin... Man, I’m pumped! It just might be the PERFECT airgun for game from 20-75 lbs, especially at long range. I will probably hunt with the Aeromagnums or the NSA 80 grn, but I also want to develop a heavier (100-110) hollowpoint with more controlled expansion for hogs and what not. Thanks for a good video, as always, Eric

    Have the same and putting lethal airs 4500 psi supervalve on it. Casting 122 grain 260 roberts bullets for it and will max it out to those bullets. At 1055 fps it has 301.46 fp energy. If I can go higher I will take it too 1100fps to be subsonic. At that speed it would have 327 pounds energy. What PSI that happens at I will regulate it to that pressure. Will post a video when finished. love your videos.

    Caliber related question. I'm another Texas hunter that hunts hogs, deer and the occasional predator messing with my livestock. If I can only snag one caliber rifle for hunting (and practicing a fair amount), which would you choose? I was leaning toward the Texan LSS 357, but wanted a real world opinion. Thanks.

      It all depends on the power level you have it set at. Also the distance. At the distance I’m shooting and at the power level I am shooting you get three shots that will be next to each other.

      @@EricHendersonAdventuresAfield You know,I was in a really bad mood by the time and I spoke like an asshole.Really sorry about that,didn't mean to offend you.You answer was really kind and smart,by the way.Anyways, I am really dissapointed by the 257,as far as I hear, I expected a much better performance.You know,here in Greece we are not allowed to have firearms,but only with smooth barrels,so I am looking for precision with an air rifle in medium-long range distances...

    • @EricHendersonAdventuresAfield
      @EricHendersonAdventuresAfield  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Δημήτρης Νίκου having three shots in almost one hole at 60 yards is not impressive? Especially at 180 foot pounds of energy. What other gun can do that? I don’t know of any other. And yes I was being a smart ass because your comment wasn’t very nice. But if you have serious questions then I have serious answers. Thank you for watching my video. Feel free to ask questions. @@EricHendersonAdventuresAfield Eric,I would have been very impressed,to say the least,if it was a three group stots.But what about the others? It is obvious,from these three shots you just mentioned,that the big distance of the other shots, has nothing to do with you as a shooter,but it's the rifles failure.It might not seemed such a big group,but what would have happened if your target was in 100 or 150 yards? Know,the first serious question that comes in mind,is if the rifle is regulated. Second,is the barrel suitable for slugs,or it would performed better with a pellet? The fpe is extraordinary,no doubt about it, but airforce claimed that with the 257cal. the accuracy is so hi quality,that you can shoot game accurate up to 200 yards,maybe more...Third question,is there any modifications you can do to the rifle to achieve such distances? You know, I love long range shooting,but I am not really the guy that can afford an fx impact for example,which I know it has the potential for that kind of long range accuracy.To tell you the truth, I cannot give more than 1000 euros by the time for an air rifle,cause I also need at least 500 more for a good scope. I am a marksman since I was a child,but I don't have great experience with precision air rifles, and I cannot risk buying a real rifle illegaly, as I already told you, we can only have shotguns in Greece ,no rifled barrels allowed! Do you have any suggestions? I would appreciate a lot to point me a way. Again,sorry for being such an asshole before,and have a nice year man...

    • @EricHendersonAdventuresAfield
      @EricHendersonAdventuresAfield  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Δημήτρης Νίκου great questions. You could easily kill a coyote at 150 yards no problem. The barrel is made for a 70 grain solid, not a pellet. None of the Airforce guns are regulated. You would have to get a Cometa or a RAW.
      It’s all good man. I hope you enjoy all my other videos. Check them out if you haven’t.
      Oh yeah, PBBA make a 20ga air shotgun.
