@@amishparadise1924 I live in it completely off grid, the solar panels i have i can hook up and work the outlets perfectly fine. however the only mistake i did make with the solar panels was not doing enough research and the type I currently have is not strong enough to run the AC with but hopefully that’ll be fixed soon!

I've been watching 100's of videos to check out what I'd want for my build, and I've seen some pretty flimsy looking panels. Im building a diy power lift using old bed frame metal to mount my panels to, i am amazed how durable the newpowa panels are. Just thought id give them a mention, i went ahead and bought a Powall inverter from them since they seem to make good equipment. So far im happy with that purchase too, i never heard of them until i came across a helpful video on an epever controller. I couldn't help but notice you wussed out on your sleeve, you need some ink on that elbow lol. Great looking camper, God bless!!
Besides more storage, I would also have a pass through to access the truck. That way I'm not trapped in the camper if something sketchy was happening outside. I could squeeze through the pass through, get into the driver's seat and drive off without ever having to be outside. 💖🌞🌵😷

If your pickup, doesn't come equipped with one it's very easy to install one. Most campers like this come with a pass through boot... But since this camper is custom, I guess she opted not to get one ... Not an option, I would skip... just saying. 💖🌞🌵😷

Yes, getting out of the truck and into the back in a massive southern storm is no joke. Not easy to mitigate unless you want expensive modifications. I've never had a sketchy situation but most people wouldn't expect a female to be alone in a camper. Ive never felt unsafe, I'm just mindful of the places I park.

Very cool! This makes me think a truck could be better than a van. The 4WD could really come in handy for remote camping. If the truck gets too old you can get another truck, you cannot do that with a van.
That's what I was thinking too! And you could take the Camper off if you found a place to set up for a while like friends or family properties. And use the truck for side jobs, like hauling things for people to make some money under the table! I don't know if you can use trucks to be an Uber driver?
A camper on a truck definitely says "CAMPER". You can definitely make a van look like a service vehicle on the outside, but a comfortable home on the inside. And there are definitely 4-wheel drive vans out there. There are even 4-wheel drive ambulances. Really consider your needs, if you want to unhook, maybe a converted utility trailer is what you need. Then you can have whatever vehicle you want... You're not limited to a truck. 💖🌞🌵😷

If you plan to be mostly off-road, a truck with 4WD would do much better than a 4WD van since the truck has more clearance and lower gears. I like the idea of a converted utility trailer too.

Also...a pass through to the cab for safety. Spider senses go off...sneak through to the front without ever getting out and drive away. Also...a firearm. Its a force multiplier and equalizer. (Training is a must) Weeboost cell phone antenna booster. Remote areas you can still call for help.
Put a small inverter in for maybe $50-$100 that you can plug into the cigarette lighter or direct wire and you’ll have 110 volts anytime you want it without having to run the generator or having to plug into an outlet. It converts your 12 volts to 110 volts. That inverter will only be good for low draw appliances.
I'm on the verfe of getting my whole truck bed camper setup as well! and I absolutely love this womans vibe and gets me really excited to know I may get to meet her or adventure with woman like her in the near future ;)
I love truck campers and always had them on a 4x4 truck too. Unfortunately, I'm disabled now so can't climb stairs or get up to the bed unfortunately. As a compromise, I bought an older campervan, but your kind of situation will always have my heart. Nice rig! 🥰🚙
Hello, I saw your video & I used to do a lot of trailer & truck camping. Let me pass on some things that I learned that might help you in your journey. 1) Get stuff you need at a camping store for backpacking. It's small, compact, & light weight. 2)Get splash guards for your truck. It'll help keep you & your rig clean. They work. I know. Also grease your ball & the cup on your hitch. This will help prevent metal on metal grinding. 3) When parking for the night, park headlong into the wind. That way if a storm comes you won't have to worry about a side wind ripping off your camper shell. Plus, if anything comes bouncing towards the truck, since you have a slimmer profile, it might miss you. If it does hit, the front of the truck is reinforced. 4) Use bug spray on the interior doors & windows/ screens openings to help keep bugs out. Use wasp & hornet spray around & on your tires to help keep critters out. Basically, all points of contact on the ground. 5) An inch is a lot of room. Learn how to stack & get used to sand & dirt. Use floor mats to put your shoes on too 6)Air out your sleeping area every morning or often. In an enclosed space the air gets stale. 7)Use a small fan to circulate the air in your sleeping area. This will help prevent hot & cold spots from forming & help prevent condensation & mold & mildew from forming. 8)Use a solid hooded sweatshirt. Draw the hood tight when you sleep to help encapsulate body heat. It can double as a pillow/ dirty clothes holder/ gear carrier. I hope this helps. Great vid, thanks for sharing. Drive safe. 🤠
We had a truck/camper Chevy also when I was little no where close to what you have , my MOM would have loved having the kitchen and the shower and especially the toilet we had none of those , a Coleman stove for cooking , showers at the campgrounds and a plastic toilet seat with plastic bags , not luxurious at all !! Your "home" is beautiful thank you for the tour !!
just a thought for you they do make 19-22inch TV's that will operate on 12V/120V that way you can use when you don't have shore power. We download Netflix on wi-fi to a tablet and have a special cord(e-bay) that connects my tablet to the TV and can watch movies any time that way. It works great when on the road or camping when TV signals are hard to get like most of the time and don't need shore power to operate. We also use a portable emergency radio to keep us up to date on bad weather. Other then that your rig looked very cozy and well laid out.

You should of bought a Cirrus 820 or 920 I have the 820 and it has plenty of storage. I have a 2014 F350 and the 2019. Lithium and solar rarely have to use generator.

Nice camper. She has a great personality, too. It was smart to not have a front window. They tend to leak. Also, there is an inflatable pillow that fits between the roof of the pickup and the camper that might help with the wind. Be safe out there, young lady.
I feel like you guys should be more carefull & mindfully. You showed her car/house, the layout AND her license plates. She is on the go but there's still creeps and people that want to hurt/take advantage of others. Specially Solo females.

I really like the fact that you can park your camper in a normal size parking space. I know that there are some campgrounds, especially the older ones have a hard time accommodating those giant motor home types.
i was skipping through (wanted to see her shower situation specifically) so i didn't see what her battery situation was, but you need at least 100Ah storage for day-to-day living (i have 200Ah of 24v, so 4800 Wh), which is expensive, and a microwave will eat up a good portion of that _really_ quick.

I love what you’ve done with it, you definitely need a wind deflector to cover that gap between the unit and the cab roof though.

I think I love you... for real, imma nomad as well and appreciate your video. Im sharing it with friends who have an off-grid life in the back of their minds. Also, at about 40mph gusts of wind you should think about safety before anything else.
I like that you don't have a front facing window in the bedroom because there's nothing to break from flying rocks or other debris at 70mph. 💖🌞🌵😷

It was smart to not have a front window. They tend to leak. Also, there is an inflatable pillow that fits between the roof of the pickup and the camper that might help with the wind.

It’s most likely registered to her home address. Which she is not at….because she travels. So how would someone track her 😂 this argument always gets me. She puts out her name on social media. I really like the fact that you can park your camper in a normal size parking space. I know that there are some campgrounds, especially the older ones have a hard time accommodating those giant motor home types.
With myself being older, I don't know how older people keep those big over sized R V on the road!
Have you thought about using solar panels so you can you use all your devices? Then you wouldn’t have to be plugged in.
i was skipping through (wanted to see her shower situation specifically) so i didn't see what her battery situation was, but you need at least 100Ah storage for day-to-day living (i have 200Ah of 24v, so 4800 Wh), which is expensive, and a microwave will eat up a good portion of that _really_ quick.

Hello! Great idea! Silly me didn’t know enough about solar panels when i purchased my first ones and didn’t go as expensive as I wish I would have so using the solar panels for the entire power actually overheats them. Updates will happen soon for those!
