There's a live show by Om there and it's like watching magic unfold and most of the crowd is just standing there and waiting like they cannot grasp that God's true spirit is being downloaded in that very moment through that stoner metal rhythm section as an example to all of how it's supposed to be done.
I try my best to make some of these young-ins aware of that. It's okay to mess up, on or off stage. Just make sure you have fun while doing it. . It makes the performance that much more worth it. 🚬🥃🎚️📻 🎵🧲🫀👍

@@numsiskit You know what the more I think about it I realize they didn't quite ever make the "woop" noise I was more thinking about making unconventional noises to begin with but one example that comes to mind is Ron Reyes from black flag, he made a lot of random noises. I feel like the "woop" noises and what not may have originated from surf rock but I feel like the noise/garage rock bands really started doing it the way they do it.
hey martin, they definitely all use strictly pedals from "death by audio" nowadays, i assume it might have been the same in 2009? they're expensive but KILLING
His staple is running the mic into a guitar amp. Here he seems to have only one amp so he either runs both guitar and the mic into it, or has the vocal distortion done with other ways. There also seems to be very little to none effects on the vocals here, so it might just be from yelling into the mic and the room mic. ;)

Sounds like its running thru sped up tape delay, he's possibly using a pedal for that. Could also have some overdrive to it.
