Congratulations!
Glückwunsch Zniszczol 👍
Did it from stargate 6...imagine +4 gates how much longer it would have been 🤘
Jawohl Huber 😊👍🇦🇹

Jawohl Kraft 😊👍🇦🇹🏆
Great jumps today.
Glückwunsch Prevc 👍
😀😀
How did Kobayashi jump to 252m, thats 9 more meters down, it already looks so flat at 245-247
He had like 6kph more inrun speed if I remember correctly, also Ryoyu is very good at landing far jumps safely. The most important part is strong head wind though. It slowes you down and so the compression at the landing also decreases so there is less force on your feet.
I don't know exactly how it works but I think the hill was a little bigger then. I don't think it's really possible to land that far down now so they probably also don't let them start from gates that are as high. Gregor Schlierenzauer also jumped 253.5 in Planica but couldn't land it. Also Stefan Kraft landed 253.5 in Vikersund and I think that's also not possible anymore.
@@coltrix0 the hill should still be the same, only the inrun got adapted a little.
If you look at Huber's 247m jump how can you say 250+ is not possible to land? He literally just pulled the most effortless telemark at 247m.
@@thombogd1022 like I said, I don't know exactly how it works, I've just heard that somewhere (maybe it was for Vikersund though, I'm not exactly sure). But yeah of course he was jumping from a very low gate (voluntarily even) so if he wanted to, or if they let him start even higher, I think he could've easily gone further, it's the landing that gets difficult at that point.
@@coltrix0 Only Vikersundbakken slope was flattened and effectively made smaller. In Planica they just started to take safety precautions a little to strictly for some reason. But given what happened in Iceland last week they will have to (and it was already indirectly announced) revise their current fearful approach.
Those rules about being able to adjust the start gate has its ups and downs. After Huber, when the level was put back to what they started with, the jumpers had to jump 258 meters to be in the lead. That`s impossible.
They have the right to go down as well. Same chance for everybody.
@@armingleiner5292 this^^ Johansson could be top 3 if they did that for him aswell. It's a risk, but totally worth it for those who are good enough! Creds to the austrian coach making this decision. Weird that it's used so rarely!
Coaches can request for the gate to be changed, more specifically. That's what happened in the case of Huber's first jump.
The actual coach requested the gate be lowered; and given he jumped 247.5, it was probably a good decision.
