I blaze... but not nearly as often as I used to.. because, while it SEEMS to enhance life... it also diminishes it at the same time. Put that in your bong and smoke it.
I agree that many people start and then quit later. Of the drugs available it is the easiest to come off of. Point is its still a drug and the culture surrounding it so strongly encourages exploration that its VERY common for people to get into stronger more dangerous drugs as a result. That is not to lessen the effect of it though. Weed does damage. Easily discernable damage at that.
That's what I am saying. You take longer hits and thus inhale more of the tars and non-psychoactive materials. You still have to get the same amount of THC to reach that high, but now also have to inhale more of the other tars to get there. In essence you use more marijuana and get the same high. The bong is actually worse for most users as a result. There have been very extensive studies done on this. It only means you get to smoke longer and to your own detriment.
Actually weed is addictive. It only takes longer to reach the point of addiction. Beyond that, interest in weed often leads users into interest in other more potent drugs like cocaine, heroine etc.
Its actually a proven fact that prolonged exposure to marijuana lessens the brains ability to function fully. Beyond the fact that it is extremely addictive (yes like alcohol which also has similar negative affects when used in excess). It may be a part of your religion, but that doesn't make it not a drug, and it doesn't take away the effect that it has. I live in freakin Portland Oregon, I know too many people who have thrown their life and their skating away because they wanted to just smoke.
people say its a gateway drug, and it technically is, but it only depends on the person you are. obviously you usually dont see people who are addicted to coke or heroin who havent smoked weed first. but also theres plenty of people who smoke weed all the time and are totally content with just that. its not addictive, but most people just think of it like they dont think its very bad for them so they dont think theres any reason they shouldnt do it
People can do what they want man. I just get tired of seeing dudes waste their life because they want some high to escape their problems. Every action has a consequence. I still hang with dudes who smoke, I don't make less of them for it, but to say that its not addictive and that it doesn't affect you is flat out wrong. Also, the bong simply cools the smoke and may filter some (not much) of the THC but leaves more tars and typically means one has to smoke more to get high. The bong is worse.
Albeit they are much cleaner in terms of removing the excessive tars (still excessive quantities) one of my biggest qualms is with the long term effects THC itself. If you look beyond whether it is addictive or not, the prolonged use of it causes permanent neurological damage. That is fact.
I'm not naive. Obviously it isn't physically addictive. Is it dangerous? Very much so. Especially for those using multiple types of drugs be it prescription or not. The effects can be extremely adverse. Do it wrong and there is a chance you end up permafried.
Again, there have been many studies on that. I also know a lot people who are addicted and quite thoroughly addicted at that. Whats funny is they tell me the same thing. "I'm not addicted! I'm quitting after this one!" Next day they are right back at it. Maybe you are not, but in my experiences most users who say they aren't addicted are on it all the freakin time.
" something and often an illegal substance that causes addiction, habituation, or a marked change in consciousness" Dictionary definition of a drug. Does weed cause Addiction? Habituation? Marked change in consciousness? If you can answer no to any single one of those questions, then chances are you are puffin a few at this very moment.
I don't normally trip on grammar... but if you call someone an idiot... make sure you yourself don't look like one... but I do get a kick out of the irony nonetheless.
While weed is not physically addictive per se.. it is very often psychologically addictive. It can and DOES ruin many peoples lives. Many people lose all motivation, and live each day just to smoke another bowl. However, it is NOT a gateway drug and it doesn't ruin EVERYONE'S lives. I know some super productive/brilliant stoners, but I know many more stoners that are losers.
He just referred to Es as E-S.....He got a gig with a company and doesn't know how to say their name right?...I mean, that's how I used to say it, and then everyone gave me shit. So...
