I’ve done hundreds of extra-capsular and intra capsular surgeries including MRIT and Tightrope, four in one over the top and this lecturer is very right, these have protracted recoveries and severe degenerative joint disease over time. TTA and TPLO are much better techniques with much less long term degenerative disease. Recovery from TTA is typically quicker. Be aware, much as in knee replacements in people, no procedure is perfect in every patient.
