Huge update from Sonoff for you all with a new firmware release from Sonoff that includes: shorter cooldown period, exposure of the illuminance sensor, control over additional perameters etc. check it out at sonoff.tech/product-review/tutorial/snzb-06p-firmware-upgrade-and-home-assistant-operation-guide/

I love these things. I have one in my living room and one in my bedroom. And I especially love the fact that it's got a magnetic base instead of a plastic mount. And yes, it's now supported by ZHA, as that's what I use with my Home Assistant Yellow.

Totally agree @MatthewN8OHU. The magnetic mounting is a god send. Check out the 03P (th-cam.com/video/h7rvQycyJok/w-d-xo.html) also for those places where power is an issue, the battery life is amazing.

@@smart_home_australia I will be checking that one out too, since I want to install at least one outside the house.

Which did you end up going for. 03 or 06?

@@smart_home_australia Right now, all I have is two of the 06 models. I will probably get a couple of the other ones, though.

Wow. The price of the unit definitely makes it extremely attractive over the Aqara offering. I know the unit isn't really directly comparable to the Aqara one. But sometimes simplicity is all you need. Looks like it should work for what I want it for.

Hi @glowingcoals, yep. Agreed. It’s going to be a very popular sensor I believe.

Indeed its a cheap, simple and reliable mmwave sensor. Two corrections on your video: it works in ZHA just fine and you can also adjust the sensitivity by writing the OTA cluster OccupancySensing / value: ultrasonic_u_to_o_threshold (0:low, 1:mid, 2:high). You can also write the ultrasonic_o_to_u_delay value which is the cool down with a minimum value of 30sec.

Thanks @sfortis , thats great information. I did try several time to pair with ZHA with nothing recognised. I'm using a DeConz for SHA and Sonoff for my Zigbee2MQTT, maybe the reason ??? As to the adjustments, thanks, I'll try them out. Its a great little affordable sensor and I think it will be very popular.

I like your videos and content but your music in between segments are way too loud vs your vocals

Yep. Sorry about that. After Christmas the channel gets a redesign so they’ll be shorter and less loud.
