Do the commentators owe Cosmos money or something? The bias was unbelievable the entire set. It's pretty much impossible to really dislike Tea, look at how many hugs he gets after each set at this tournament!

Sigh.... they [commentators] discredited Tea so much on that win. Murphy's law? The man knows his angles. Hitboxes, nor hitbox extensions, had nothing to do with anything concerning the hydrant. This was just getting outplayed by Tea and his character knowledge..
yeah idk what they were talking about. I think they both knew that it wasn't going to hit him at the angle it was going, which is why cosmos went for the dash grab but Tea threw out the bell once it was ready, it's not really as insane as they made it out to be.
The hydrant confused cosmos which is why he whiffed a dash grab, he thought the hydrant hit his shield or something.
He for sure knew that hydrant wouldnt hit... I'm a pac main and teetering on finally getting into elite smash while also just starting to go to local competitions. That hydrant is one I would have held neutral b through as well. That set up is fairly do-able with good spacing as people tend to rush in after breaking your hydrant
@@TheZizybalooba pacman elite smash wifi warrior, yeah it's pretty easy to tell that it's gonna hit the fruit and not the player, Cosmos probably knew this too because he played other good pacmans before and you can kind of tell just by angle

Sometimes Tea goes in a state where he somehow connects every move of Pac-man's kit while not taking any dmg and taking whole stocks. + Cosmos was really frustrated

@@HeyTey1245 the problem with that is I want to hear the game sounds and music. Obviously I'm aware of the option you suggested.
It would be quite simple for the audio/video team to have one recording with no audio input from the commentary. I also suggested a separate channel or upload so that people who enjoy the commentary still have it, so it's not like I'm saying it shouldn't exist or anything unreasonable.

Coney is the most paid and successful commentator in smash ultimate right now and has been commentating since brawl. He knows tea is good, but he was just acknowledging the lucky situations he was in. You're stupid and know very little about the scene.

Xewl He doesn't regularly get lucky but if you can watch this set and not see he's getting lucky in a lot of key interactions you're pretty bad and don't understand the game.

Pacman can’t summon another Side B pellet if one’s out there falling and Tea was way too far to Up B so his only chance to get back to stage was to get rid of Pellet and then Side B but he was already too low, nothing Tea could have done to survive that situation.

It's funny how people always seem to complain about the commentary. I watch these sets while listening to music
It's actually fairly simple to understand why some people would complain. A lot of work went into this game's sound effects and music. Some of us would prefer to hear that instead of people blathering on.
From a tech standpoint it would be very easy to have a separate upload where the commentary input is simply not used while recording the match. That way people can choose what they want instead of having to choose between what you do or putting up with commentary so you still get some game sound.

Cosmos was too aggressive and impatient. He dashed dance instead of waiting out tea's next action. He went too deep to edge guard and took unnecessary damage. He should have ledge trap more.
@Joshua Suh probably. Tea definitely played very well, but cosmos did a lot of things that he should have immediately realized was not working or helping him at all.

Justice yea it is definitely just not knowing the matchup. Esam also didn’t know the matchup when they first played, but they rematched here and it’s obvious he’s gotten pac man practice.

I think the majority of the time, momentum was on Cosmos... Small mistake or move by Tea made the difference....
I watch a lot of Tea and this is nothing new, he does this a lot. If you've counted Tea out in the middle of a game, you've done yourself a great disservice.
Not that the commentators would know, they didn't care when he did it games 1 and 2 but when cosmos did game three everybody nutted. This is also a recurring thing I've seen in several vods from Teas games, I guess they just don't really know tea and root for their familiar players.
The reversal kills from tea was epic. The commentators were right though. Cosmos tried way to hard to get the kill in game 3.

It’s painful to see cosmos getting so unfortunate, first 2 game should go to cosmos, and the third almost went to tea as well.
I see no misfortune those first two games, just particularly bad mistakes. He dropped a lead game 1 on his own by being outplayed in neutral when going for the kill and screwing up ledge pressure and game 2 he chose to go to the highest ceiling stage where his up throw up air was less likely to kill and then he flubbed doing an Up B after a tech and Tea capitalized. Cosmos didn’t have anything bad happen to him out of his control, unless his controller was malfunctioning or something.
If anything, kudos to Tea for capitalizing on those flubs in completely optimal ways. Dude earned those games. Conversely, props to Cosmos for cleaning up enough to take game 3.

I think Armada might be the best Inkling as of right now.
Lol don’t get me wrong, Armada is a great inkling, very very strong, but the difference in their play is GLARING. Cosmos is definitely a better inkling than Armada

Danny Freeman yeah man, rn I’d say it’s |Space = Cosmos > Armada| (although idk any other great inkling players so there may be others). Cosmos played out of his mind this tournament. Just the other week, Armada placed 17th at TBH9. Cosmos placed 13. Not a crazy difference, but also you need to consider the time that they’ve both played the character competitively which Cosmos has the edge on, and also Cosmos placing 3rd at a tournament of this caliber is a GREAT outcome for him. One of his best outcomes, if I’m not mistaken actually. I’ve never heard of a player placing third at a major and then going on to being ranked lower than other players of the same character because.. well, that’d be crazy. But yo, I’m not denying Armada isn’t an insane player, and that with time, he has the potential to probably surpass any inkling player, but he needs to get those competitive wins up some more and play in more tourneys. So far he’s really impressing everyone with his inkling and I hope he keeps going off and proves that inkling is busted as hell!! Inkling mains rise up.
EDIT: yo just realized I was wrong, Both Armada and cosmos tied at 17th at big house 9 (with others) but that doesn’t change his other tourney placings, including placing 3rd at this crazy ass tourney.
