The Drunken Bananas it’s to let the fish spawn and it carries a hefty fine if your caught. There’s a lot of talk about shortening or removing the closed season however these have all been denied by the Enviroment Agency
@@thedrunkenbananas1498 River season is always from 16th June till 14th March. been that way for many years. It was brought into force to allow fish to spawn in peace but these days with climate change I'm not really sure it should apply as fish spawn at different times.
7.5 is better for chub and perch... once you start going past 3 inches pike and zander are the usual suspects on the end your line.... chub will take a 3inch lure no doubt but would be a fair sized specimen ha

I really wanted to see this big Chub video but then you said first words and it made me sick in my stomach. You are doomed if you think some politician bureaucrat can tell you if you can or can't go fishing and keep you in house arrest without any resistance on your part :(
was using a 2inch shad this morning and you can imagine my shock when the rod bent over and a 6lb2oz bream eventually slipped over the net
