hey man love the channel i'm an old gamer as well. just wanted to (with love point out that is the old way to gel oil ) i do this on official servers, try making it in the alchemist bench with bark and ichor its a much faster and you get so much more. cheers. ps you will need a T4 on the bench for this to work.
Thanks for bringing up another method! Its always a heartlifting experience for me when others leave comments like this that can give even more great options! Thanks for the support and info! :)
A way faster method is: 1. Get a T3 or T4 alchemist 2. Put him into an alchemy station (preferably an upgraded one) 3. The alchemist offers you a recipe for oil which requires 1 ichor and 1 bark 4. Farm spiders/scorpions and harvest them with an axe for ichor and farm trees with a pick for bark 5. Your alchemist will convert 1 ichor and 1 bark into 5 oil, which is more than you'll ever need for anything in the game This method takes about 1 hours from start to finish for a few thousand units of oil, while every method using the fluid press will take you days upon days for the same amount.
Glad to hear it helps you progress in the game. Lots of other solutions coming up in the comments, so be sure to read thru and get some good info from others too :)
a thing i know of is with frags of power, you can get essence of rot plans, make a essence of rot and stick it your camp fire, with tons of meat, all the meat, dosent matter as long as its raw, then cook it, with essence of rot, it turns meat into instant spoiled meat, witch you can use for your compost, something else as well, is putting raw meat in the compost, witch massively reduces spoil timer on meat as well, turning it faster witch then turns into compost as well, a side not thou is essence of rot is a super rare drop on the plans wall, ive spent 75 frags and still havent gotten it yet, other times its my first thing i get. lol
Great info areo! Thanks for sharing those points. Yeah meat spoilage can be annoying but looks like you found a solution. I usually do what another person commented by just dumping raw meat into the compost heap and letting it spoil there. :)
@NGP ODDGAMING well sure but it's a heck of a lot of time effort and wasted ichor. So easy to get seeds. Just saying. I literally can do almost anything in this game and I don't build fish traps such a pain in the butt
FYI: If you happen to have an animal pen, they will make dung for you, which substitutes both the rotten meat and bone meal in the compost heap. So you can put some crocs and gazelles in there, feed them meat and berries or whatever and get half of the stuff for your compost this way. If on PC, you could use the Savage Tamer mod, which gives MUCH smaller taming pens, and it works very smoothly.
You can also stack compost heaps so you have several stacked in one spot :) Also, you should also throw in there the fact that the grubs can be used to make silk :) really practical, so it's an oil farm / silk farm :)
One good thing to know about the compost bin is it makes everything rot faster so you can just throw raw meat directly into the compost bin and it will rot much quicker. Also it only requires 1 compost to generate grubs so if you put a bin near your fishing spot with just 1 compost you can have grubs always ready near by. On the opposite end as a bonus tip you can use an animal feed box as an early game "fridge" as it slows the rot timer on everything and not just food. Just beware animals will automatically take out any food type items (even if they cant eat it) so I wouldnt not recommend having animals near it if you use it for that purpose.
Both EXCELLENT tips! I always use my pet feed box as a refrigerator until I can get up to the level where I can make the ice box.... sometimes I skip the ice box entirely.
So if you've been killing a lot of elephants or deer or whatever and got a lot of fresh meat of any type that you do not want to cook and eat, can you just drop fresh meat into the compose heap, let it rot in there, and then once rotted would it automatically go into the fertilizer making? This is to save the time of putting fresh meat somewhere else to let it rot first, then move it to the compose heap.
You can do that, but check the spoil timer on meat when you put it in there.... it may actually slow the decay rate down vs just dumping it in a box. But Ive done both just to get the excess meat out of my inventory.
Thanks! Was a lot of fun to pull this one together :) Probably went overboard on the Tower of Power.. but ... eh... who's countin :) Thank you so much for the compliments!
I used to do this as well, but the return isn't really high and takes time and maintenance. The way I make oil is use an Alchemist and have him craft all the oil I need from bark
Yes the T3 and T4 Alchemist is the way to go once you reach Level 30 and can get Potion Making. Thanks for the info! Helps to have a community that is willing to share!
Hi my old gamer 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻 alway great to be on your channel watching and supporting you. Conan is a great game mate 🧡 I haven't played it personally but what I have watched of you playing it looks cool and a good game. Anyway let's do this brother chat after the video 🙏

LOL, yep, and once you get to Lvl 30 and can get the Potion Maker, you can put ichor and bark in an Alchemist bench with a T3 or T4 Alchemist and make oil with an even greater return! 😁
Not a self sustaining method, but still great for geting tons of oil: Get a T3 Alchemist, put them in the Alchemy bench, put in bark and ichor: Boom, tons of oil!
Another great tip! Thanks for giving the new folks more options! Always great to see the community helping others out! Thanks! And thanks for watching!
If you have 5K seeds already, sure.. that would be the best direct route... but if you dont want to be collecting seeds all the time, this will work for a self renewing oil farm that doesnt decay like fish in fish traps. :)
@Old Gamerz Never Die at the new settings four times harvesting or even ten times harvesting on some servers like private it's a fraction of the time to go get seeds and then you have enough oil for the life of your server it literally takes no time at all to get that many seed with the right tool. I love Conan Exiles one of the best games ever I appreciate your videos I just had to put in my two cents there. ❤️
@@OldGamerzNeverDie I used to do the same thing and what a pain it was I felt so dumb when I learned that I could just press the seeds into tons and tons of oil

@@jeffbrossard163 Oh for sure.. I never use fish for oil, but felt like if I didnt show it as a slower, less reliable way, people would just say "fish is the easiest" LOL.
