Really? The Bait station isnt a mod, its part of the game. You get it in Tier 2 taming along with the Tame House, Hatchery, barn, and Tier 2 saddles.

@@Ladd-rk3kk I keep coming back to it myself because when it's working, it's amazing. With Grapeshot basically abandoning it with no updates since June of 23, the modding community has been able to stabilize it to make it fun again on PC. Console players have not had the same luck though I'm afraid.

@@Ladd-rk3kk I had someone in stream say that the only way to play with Xbox is to have a GForce Now subscription and play cross platform. From what I've been told by other Xbox players is that all of the Xbox only servers (both official and unofficial are down, and have been for a long time)

Not with a modded world unfortunately.

Yep, the maps really give you a boost. Still not as fast as some of the servers out there. I played one and was level 60 in an hour.. and all I did was punch trees and dive 3 wrecks LOL

Honestly, at least for PC, with GrapeShot NOT doing anything with the game since the June 2023 wipe, the modding community has been able to stabilize the game more than Ive seen in a long while. Plus there is an unofficial community out there for almost any play style. I dont recommend that anyone purchase the game in its current state.. I think Steam should have a disclaimer on it that its been abandoned since GS is still charging full price.... but if you already own it on pc, its worth dipping your toe back in the water. If you are on console however.. youre dead in the water.. as there are currently no servers to play on even on unofficial.

YUP! I hope this "break" that Funcom is taking to fix bugs will actually pay off. Id like to play Conan again, but I had to walk away or rage.. and Im not a rage guy LOL

@@mason9644 Just take care of you're hosting on your machine, to do a back up save in a separate location when y'all log off. Atlas is prone to corrupting sav s pretty regularly, and without a separate back up of the last time you played, you'll have to restart from scratch. I've gotten burned too many times to count. Another reason I'm so appreciative of folks who are still hosting servers that don't require a password to play.

Im having fun playing again. With Grapeshot basically walking away from the game, you may thing the lack of updates would be bad, but actually.. with the modding community having a change to fix things and NOT have them get broken with a buggy update, the game is more stable (on the unofficial servers) that it has been in a long time. I wouldnt try Single Player, that is still subject to save file corruption bugs.. but come on out to the server we are on (Furtive Sage PVE 9x9) on the unofficials .. its wide open and running smooth! Or for less grindy options, you can try out Consortium Gaming, Atlas Evolved, Riptide, or Radioactive servers. For even LESS mods, you should check Tortuga 7x7. Those are ones Ive tried so far.

I quickly tried singleplayer this morning again for a short "toe dip into the water" (pun intended) The thing is, I had kind of a rotation in the past where I went from Ark to Conan to 7daystodie to Atlas and then wen back to Ark - but then I started to make Ark storytelling content and kinda hit several walls there - I always had a special love for Atlas and the beauty within - I mean, who doesn't like the piracy romance - what I thought about doing there with Atlas when I saw your announcement is that there would be a possibility to interact with "Human" NPCs as followers for a nice story to tell similar to the Conan stuff I do because Atlas is not only beautiful but also has NPCs that I could also voice... with 7dtd and Ark I am "limited" to an interaction with other players so Atlas no is especially intruiging... but, and here comes step up for the game - the servers you mentioned will of course provide player generated content like buildings and other ships, also the possibility to trade and THAT would give the storytelling a huge push so yeah, thanks again for bringing Atlas up and letting me know about the servers, I think I will check some of them out and consider the next steps! This is a nice opportunity for a couple of good stories...🤘

@@CampfireClowns Yep, definitely ripe for creating a story and let it unfold in your content. Keep me in the loop in case you decide to settle on Furtive Sage as the different OGs that are playing will definitely be setting up trade routes with other players 🙂

There are still lots of unofficial servers out there that are being well run. I'll be doing a stream tonight on the server that Ive been enjoying this past few weeks... fresh start so everyone can see how the progression goes. Its PvE, and there are not many players on the map, but it is a 9x9 grid with all the stuff... so plenty to explore and have fun with. It DOES have about 20 mods (mostly quality of life and stability mods) but you wont find many servers out there that arent using mods to shore up the gaps in coding that Grapeshot left. Hope to see you out there!

Thanks for the info. Ive been on other servers and run into the Ghost Ship during daylight hours.. when its invisible but I guess still occupies a spot on the map. Thats my luck, if there's a pebble sticking up in the ocean.. I'll find it and run slam into it :)

@@OldGamerzNeverDie I just ran into the ghost ship in C2 the other day during the day time and before I had a chance to realize it, I was wondering what was going on. We got rid of the seaforts some time back. I forget what the issue was, but in getting rid of them, apparently the footprint stayed behind and was invisible. Anyway, hope you are enjoying the server. I have to admit that watching you on that powerstone island getting beat up.... well that's a nasty one to deal with.

It definitely still in development. I enjoy early Access games like this, but yes, there IS typically a stall point in most where new content becomes scarce. Same happened with New World and many others. But time will tell on this one. It's also why I waited to snag it on sale. LOL

Same here. Ive heard that the official pub servers went down without comment a few months ago.. last I heard they hadnt come back up so that the only way to play is SP.. and thats been a buggy mess with corrupted saves since the game launched. I had to stop covering it because after about 4 episodes in, my save would crap out and Id have to restart the whole series. Dang shame, game is fantastic.... when it works.

@@OldGamerzNeverDie It really is an awesome game, and has so much potential. I wont be holding my breath, but would be nice to see a more polished Atlas 2 released at some point. Until then, just unofficial servers.

@@devaprasadm1467 Actually did get to play. This vid was from the initial demo, and had some glitches, but the devs were very open to fixing things. The full release is out now, and it's a greatly missed improved Experience AND tons of fun.

I havent actually experienced what you are describing. Are you playing in Single Player or on a server?

@@Sun4ATlas So here's the good and the bad news. From what Ive heard/seen Atlas as an online game has been basically abandoned by Grapeshot (the producer, under Snail Games). The Single player has been about the only way you could play for most of the year, and SP has NEVER been fully optimized. I had to stop playing SP for the simple reason that Id get about 4 or 5 episodes in and my save would get corrupted and wouldnt launch, requiring me to restart the entire playthru. Atlas WAS a great game, WHEN it worked. It never really worked at all on console, and unfortunately, it looks like the devs have all "abondoned ship". As for your particular issue, if you are on pc, you could try to verify your game files on steam, or reinstall (your save game should still be there). IF your save game has become corrupted, youre out of luck, the only way to continue is to do a full wipe and start a new game. If you are on Xbox, I couldnt really give you any advice other than to restart and try another save file, but the console glitchiness may be the culprit here. Again, unfortunately, I dont see Grapeshot doing any fixes moving forward as they remain largely silent on any future updates, and the last 3 new "seasons" were just wipes and restarts on the same maps. Very disappointing to be sure.

@@OldGamerzNeverDie I play by PC. I already reinstalled the game, also i did this method of uninstalling Atlas and reinstalling it on another disk ssd or hdd, etc...etc... My PC is: -Ram 32gb 3600Mhz cl16 -Cpu 11th i7-11700 -GraphicsCard intelARC A770-16gb LE. And I don't think is about a problem of my PC, because when i play Ark Survival Ascended all of sea's 🌊 works very perfectly in that game. I just need to fix the sea's 🌊 of Atlas.

Yeah... RIP ... this game had such potential, now I think its just left in the Snail graveyard.

I can completely understand, its not for everyone to be sure. I dual stream to both vertical and regular (widescreen) when I do the vertical. It does appeal to some who are watching on their phones, which is the reason I started doing it, but there is a much better visual on the widescreen version. @@j666isme Ive tried NMS a couple of times early on and couldnt get going on it. Has it gotten better over the years? Does it warrant another chance for a fresh start?
