    Great video. Two questions: What type of things would you be able to use his technique for? And also I was wondering I want to make a film in the summer, what type of things could you use after effects before in post? Thanks

      @JustinOdisho  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +James Sykes just a creative effect, for example check one directions - you and I music video for a similar effect (although you would need a slightly different method)

    Great tutorial. Exporting as png wasn't necessary though. you could have parented the masked video 2 to the null object instead of the png

    • @JustinOdisho
      @JustinOdisho  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, the png export skips the need to roto freeze through each frame. Very close in regards to how long it might take but the png made more sense for me.

    i tried rotoscoping but that png isn't just the cut out it's the whole background too so every time that section comes up it just stays on that frame since it's on top of my footage. any tips?

    It would be nice

  • @Sebelos

    Would a easier way to shot this effect with high res from a more far away standpoint or wider lens and then scale in and do some digital panning if you don't wanna work with the tracking, I always have bad experiences with that tool 😂

    • @shawnpmaguire
      @shawnpmaguire 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry I don't think my question was clear. I want to do a speed ramping affect where it slows down - I've watched your vid on this :-) but also freeze frame... Would I slow the clip down first with time remapping and then follow the directions from this video?

      And anoter question, I want to import a video into After Effects but just the audio so I put it all the way down so I just hear the audio but then it goes all crazy cutting some pieces of repeating stuff changing the pitch and the speed, I think I have to convert the video to mp3 but I don't know how, can you tell me how to if you know?

    I followed all your operations step by step three times ,what confused me is that I never success in " save as file" which aways came out with a scene picture not that one we need which only have a person and alpha BG(I do whatever you did in tutorial, every steps are same to you ). What's wrong with me ?help me figure out

    When i try to export the frame it doesnt go transparent whatever I do, Also after using the brush and previewing the clip its frozen all the way until like 2 seconds before I actually froze the frame, at that point it creates a clone that enters the clone if you know what I mean...

    Why not use the 3d tracking tool?

    • @JustinOdisho
      @JustinOdisho  7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      3d tracking would fail to analyze a clip with panning motion like this. 3d motion would be great however for a clip where the camera is moving forward or backwards through a space which is why I might make a part 3

    do you know howt to make the back of the object looks like zoom out or zoom in , but the object still normal

    • @ilyaonthefly
      @ilyaonthefly 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean in an image or a video? If it's an image, you can just duplicate the original layer and then mask out the object, and then keyframe the position of the first layer (the background layer) to zoom in or out. I'm sure this will work for a video too if your object is super still, however if it's moving then you'll have to get Justin's advice on that haha

    • @BenHopperVisuals

      Roman Andrei you can do it on 24/30 but if you want the still to appear longer than you need slow motion
