    I love that you let the history do the talking and do not make it about you. Thanks again😊

      I think it’s better that way. To many people on TH-cam make it all about themselves and i find it annoying.

      We do have a lot of ancient historical places in the uk but you do have some fantastic national parks

      Make it a point to go see them. I I’ve been to England and Scotland three times… it’s beyond your imagination to see. It will astound you. Please put it on your list. ❤️👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

      There is plenty of old stuff in the USA. Just not build by europeans. That may be the reason a lot of it was raised to the ground so thoroughly.

    There is a local legion of a secret tunnel leading from the priory to a now unknown location, it goes on to say a fiddler was employed to go down the tunnel and play so those above ground could follow the route. After a time the fiddling stopped and they never saw the fiddler again.

    Of the nine levels of hell - I have often wondered what level Henry VIII was assigned to upon his arrival. Along with all rest of his sycophants that went forth and destroyed these magnificent places of observance.

      I am certain the Henry VIII has a very special place in hell. A just reward for all his dark works in this mortal plane.
      Have you seen his tomb? If not, look it up. I think you will chuckle as I did.

    I enjoy your quiet walkabouts of these ancient wonders. Had a thought though, that drone shots would add tremendously to your good work. Just an idea.

      I’m afraid a drone is out of my budget but hopefully one day things will change, as I do agree with you on that

    That’s a massive amount of buildings for just 12 monks! I find myself getting so angry with Henry VIII, Edward VI plus Oliver Cromwell and his Puritan armies. They committed such crimes against England’s culture and heritage! It’s so shameful.

    • @QuietlyExploring
      @QuietlyExploring  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it was huge. It must have been incredibly in its time. It is such a shame that we have had so much negative history

    Now I’m curious how much this property was mentioned in the famous Paston letters!
