    Hey Everyone,
    Today we looked at the Behringer FCB1010 midi controller with the eureka prom chip. This is the best midi foot controller ( IMO ) that can talk with many different rigs to make using profiling amps and amp sims a breeze! We're talking about Bias FX specifically today and how to get it set up at home for your own rig! Hope you enjoy if you have any questions feel free to comment or DM me on instagram

    TripleThanx!
    Your ’How-To’ is the only one I’ve found that is useful!
    Had to watch it 15-20 times to get it, but now the FCB1010 is running as it should.
    Thanx again for Your upload!
    Without it I would still be scratching my 50+ year old bold head in frustration & irritation. Be Blessed!! 🙏
    (I also bought the Eureka PROM, after Your recommendation)

    Hi thanks for this!! Way clearer and simple to follow than any other video on fcb1010 I’ve watched!! Had it for a fair few years and never been able to use it properly with the gear I have, the bias fix is awesome too so now I have a great combination. I have the Uno chip but will buy the Eureka one as the UNO programming is pants!

    Thanks for the vid and the chip recommendation! This is exactly how I plan to use my FCB1010. I just got Bias earlier this week and was blown away by how great everything sounds. I'm gonna pick up a Eureka chip to avoid the headaches I've heard/read about with this FCB1010 lol.

    • @RickGuitarist94
      @RickGuitarist94 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @6ixRiffs Update, I have my FCB Eureka chip installed and it's working great. However, there are a couple of things I'm in question on. First, is there a way to not have the LEDs flashing at me every time I power on my FCB and want to use the "EF" setting, since I've already got its CC #'s set in Bias?
      Second, the Wah pedal on Bias doesn't seem to always respond in real-time with my expression pedal on my FCB1010. Like, it will not always go all the way up/down or there will be a slight delay in the virtual Wah moving. Is that a program issue, or a pedal issue, if you or anyone else has ran into this problem?

    • @6ixriffs725
      @6ixriffs725  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Eureka Chip is amazing makes it so much easier to work on any midi manageable plug ins. As for the flashing LED's im not to sure how to keep them off, usually what i do is just press alll the pedals on and off once that way they dont flash anymore. Yes unfortunately, the range on the wah isnt the greatest. There are a few things when it comes to bias that such as that that dont work that good but what i personally do is add my own physical pedals to the chain when i playing live. For instance i like have a Cry baby from hell ( Dime bags wah ) that i really like the sound of so i use it at the front of my signal chain instead of using the wah on bias. Hope this helps, let me know how it turns out!

      @@6ixriffs725 Nice! I eventually gave up on having a responsive wah/whammy/etc etc. It is apparently a problem with the FCB itself and it can't be fixed from what I've read online. Oh well. As for the LEDs, I got used to it and just stopped paying attention to it after turning them all off when I first power it on

    This is fricking awesome... I would.really only.use this for presets... it seems the presets seem trickier to.program then the individual effects.....
    Either way isnt their 10 banks...x10 switches? For 100 switches...or am I wrong?

    • @6ixriffs725
      @6ixriffs725  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there is ! For each bank has its own set of presets and there is 10 banks! So you could have a ton of presets on command ready to go! Personally i would lose track so easily so i stick to only using 1 bank for ease which stores a ton of presets by it self. The presets require a little more steps than the effects yes but once all it set it and assigned to the pedals you want it is extremely easily change ! But to answer your question you can have an insane amount of presets ready for you at hand. Hope this helped and i didnt confuse you too much lol

  • @HeavY808
    @HeavY808 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I'm considering buying one of these so this was very helpful. Might be a dumb question, but is it possible to assign, let's say the top 5 pedals for different presets and the bottom 5 pedals for toggling effect pedals on/off within the selected preset. Without having to reprogram them each time, of course.

    • @6ixriffs725
      @6ixriffs725  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes you can, there is a mode that allows your bottom row to be effects and the top row as preset amps. such a great feature ,its the "EP" mode which is their effects and preset mode. i found this works extremely well with neural dsp Nolly and i use this as my live rig! Works great in bias FX as well!

    I have a question if you don't mind me asking. Am I able to program it to toggle the effects per preset or does setting an effect to one button mean that that button is only assigned with effect across all my presets? If in preset 1 I have chorus, delay and reverb but in preset 2 I have distortion, phaser and reverb. Can each preset have it's own separate button assignments for my effects or is one button with an assigned effect locked across all of my presets? I hope this wasn't a super complicated question 😕

      are you referring to the CC# for the pedal programming or for the presets? They are similar but slightly different. CC# ( control change numbers ) range from 1-128. The PC ( program change ) also goes from 1-128. CC changes is a midi information or note that change parameters that makes changes via midi ( say toggling on or off a pedal ) PC is used for a program change or patch change which allows you to cycle presets that you have saved previously and assigned to a certain number (1-128) . Hope this helps, if you are still confused let me know and i will try and help walk you through !

      It connects directly through the audio interface via MIDI cable. The Interface you have must have a midi in and out port. When you connect it, it starts from the pedal, to midi out, then to the interface which is the midi in because the pedal board is sending the information to the interface. Hope this helps!
