- Hey Z Heads.
After fitting the doors, I noticed that there was an issue with the dogleg. It was slightly misplaced but also the contour was incorrect. Time to get cutting. I also repaired the cracked solder joints and fitted the after marked battery tray.
Enjoy!!

LOVE THAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!! AWESOMENESS!!! THAT Zster is gonna be on-point on everyline -amazing work!!!👍👍👍
Cheers Tom. Fingers 🤞
As always, your ability to break down the task at hand into understandable, pragmatic steps that could be performed by someone other than a professional are worthy of merit. By the way, that’s a fantastic color. Love the video.
Much appreciated man. Thank you!
Great work!! Cheers to you mate!! Keep it up love the content!!
Long time no see!
Always good to be back
Hey Sparkie. Take a good look around inside your welder. I’ve had times were my welder does the same thing. You can cleanup or change out some of the contacts, also the feed roller. Maybe some of the thicker wires “00” deep inside that connects to the transformer might be soft, loose or dirty.
Hope this helps💪🏼 love your channel bro!
Hey Sparky 😀. Good tip. I will give it a strip down and check it out. Plenty of dust in the shed lately which doesn't help. Then contact is a good starting point as it is acting like one of them failing. Cheers.
That hole on the bulk head side of the battery tray that you assume is for the battery clamp is not in fact for the battery clamp. On a Z there is a rectangular frame round the top of the battery. At the bulk head side it bolts horizontally into the bulk head just above the top of the battery. At the front side there is a hold down rod that hooks onto the battery tray.
Hey Andrew. This really threw me when assembling it as it didn't make sense. Can you send me images of the setup to sparkiesshed@gmail.com and I will send out an update on this. The quality of the tray was top notch and don't want to diminish it in any way. Thanks for your input. I plan to put a bolt through the bulkhead and add a strap hook to grab the battery. But a pic will help with this
Email sent.
Great, detailed video. Will for sure watch all videos before starting the replacement of body panels on mine.
Care to share the manufacturer of the body panel that you used?
Auto Panel Solutions and KF Vintage. Very good product from both. Any discrepancies are captured in my video 😁
@@sparkiesshed3818 that kinda sucks. I was planning on getting all the panels from them. I want to do all the work myself and I'm not a welder. So I was counting on perfect panels to make it more manageable for me.
To be honest they are perfect. I just get caught up on minute details which I loose weeks of my life to for nothing 🙃. I would recommend them!
@@sparkiesshed3818 Sadly, I'm the same 😅
@@sparkiesshed3818 Any new vids in the pipeline?
Man
Hope you get some more vids out soon
