Vodkaer was changed to Merno because the former was a little too on the nose with the alcohol pun for English readers. The author has expressed his approval at this change. There is also a translation where his name is Wokka (a play on another brand). Merno/Mirno is a toss to "Smirnoff".

Thing about it is......I think vegeta is gonna be the one to take this match. He's surpassed an angel (in this manga) merno just wanna have fun at full power as an angel before being erased because the Angels are forbidden to do that in any crisis. The rules doesn't bend for him, but being that he suppose to been wiped out with the whole universe 13 he's having a good time at full power with goku and vegeta, which Angel's are forbidden to do by the way. He pushed them to their limits to get him to his full power to defeat him (Merno).

Honestly I thought this was the natural progression after the TOP. In the beginning of the arc they made it seem like the angels and GP were super aloof about mortals, so it makes sense that there would be one willing to use their power for funsies. I liked it, and I hope there's an actual end to it.

The continuation story of this on UnrealEntGaming is painfully long and dragged out. The storyline here and storytelling is high quality. You could go listen to some of the new Merno vids and compare to this one. @mondo cool is def leagues beyond his colleagues. Though I do appreciate that they are all supporting fan manga creators.

I love your storytelling style. Just straight storyline, good reading, music, sound effects… I wish you guys could do all of the fan manga complete stories. UEG took like 4 hours to read this same story. You gotta know I really appreciate you guys and your intentional lack of filler words in your storytelling

He's not a villian he never done anything bad really. He's was the antagonist. Someone that gets in the way of the protagonist. He is a good guy that was hurt really really bad to the point he went crazy and rebeled. I can see where he's coming from I wish was just turned human instead of erased.

His existence is literally a crime, he made threats true but he didn't even try to kill anyone they was just threats to force Goku and vageta to surpasse their limits again. By dragon ball standers he's a good guy. He even put everyone somewhere safe if he was telling the truth. He could if killed if he wanted to but he never did.

Man, these fananga are awesome. The Super Buu twist was actually surprising, Vegeta getting Ultra Instinct was cool, and Goku learning to make portals after fighting those that can do it feels like the next stage progression of his Instant Transmission.

These fan mangas (this, R&R, Absalon, DBM, Deliverance, Devastation etc) have definitely upped their game in the near 20 year wake of DBZ so much now that even that Super has arrived, unfortunately parts of it dont seem to hold up to the writing.

@@DisgorgeX I watched a few TH-cam narration summaries/ review of it and based on what I saw it doesnt look or sound as interesting as this fan manga Merno arc, or that other dark angels / wife of Grand Priest fan manga story. The only thing I noticed that seemed cool was Vegeta's remorse on him killing Nameks long ago when he used to be evil. Thats cool because that shows he has gone through more character progression. If only Super would do that for the other characters now too. Are Goten and Trunks still toddlers? wtf

Man, this was a very good read! I really enjoyed it! This was as well as a very interesting manga.
In every absorbtion story of Buu absorbing Gotenks and Gohan, Buu should remember that the Saiyans had tails...So buu could regrow them thus giving him a tail, & sumhow bypassing the "pure blooded saiyan rule", and Buu achieving his own version of Great Ape and SSJ4.

Dirceu Santos You just basic summed up this fan manga in a nut shell. 🤦🏾 nobody else got any screen time they were actually just for the sake of it. Goku was barely in it he came at the back end with MUI and learning how to do portals let’s face Goku was just fan-service. Frieza was just there. In the end there was really no need for anyone other then Vegeta and the angles to be in this manga.

Dirceu Santos No your right I completely agree. I mean at the beginning the story had me intrigued but then it just became a predictable dragon ball arc. I mean people say they don’t want just Goku always getting the spotlight they want other characters as getting their moments as well. That’s a massive lie they just don’t want anyone else who isn’t Vegeta to be getting the spotlight, you noticed it too right the Z fighters didn’t even have a lot of screen time yet nobody complains, but when it’s Goku everybody throws a fit. That’s what this whole manga was Vegeta’s own arc where literally nobody else was relevant that’s the reason everyone in the comment section see no faults in it yet will criticise Toriyama for wanking off Goku🤦🏾. Sure in dbz arc Goku does get the spot light but everyone helps him in a huge way and they all get a fair amount of screen time and it gives other characters a chance to shine like in tournament of power. This whole fan manga was just one big let down how you gonna bring in every Z fighters make it seem like they’ll help in the final boss battle just for them to be absorbed by Buu should’ve made them train with whis. And what was the whole point of Goku even joining the final battle. People got pissed off when he got ultra instinct and learnt that portal ability yet in the end what was the point.

This manga made me feel emotions for these characters. That hasn’t happened since the OG Dragon Ball Z. Of course, Super was good in its own right. But, something about this struck a chord with my childhood in a weird/good way. It has Ernie gives be Frieza/Cell vibes. As destructive as Frieza. But, elegant and sophisticated like Perfect Cell. Just truly astonishing.
Merno is basically Hisoka. Training a fighter with huge potential because they want the challenge.

Jermaine Hightower if they do they need to rewrite this story because there is so many issues like how the grand priest cannot teleport but his son can? Even goku can instant transmission that is just stupid that he has to travel with whis lol and Merno got erased with his universe even tho the angels during the tournament of power didn’t get erased... but if he was made into a character by DBS writers then that would be awesome, they just need to rewrite the story.

Vegeta power comes from anger but he was able to unlock Ultra Instinct as it required peace.
Goku power comes from peace and love but also can be triggered through anger.

Depowering the Omni king, an entity that destroys worlds for fun....this concept of new gods or overpowering Omni king That's new and that is why fans like it, it has never happened so in other stories. Where as moro is just a story like marvel or DC...... The faster they finish the arc the better I would say, but when have they ever taken my opinion.
They already had the 4 Kai's and grand Kai overthem, but brought in the supreme Kai and now there's a grand supreme Kai who has gone evil, the power scaling level the story has put the characters is ultra Instinct Goku fighting at multi verse level warriors surpassing gods of destruction and near angels. Gogeta Vs broly supposedly powerful than jiren....
Although the series needs to notch down their level to make it look like DBZ, they also have pushed it far in power levels. This fan manga for example is balancing out the story in the way it needs to be done. Some of theses fan manga are very good at it, makes me wonder why the makers of DBs can't think this simple and we'll.

Isaac Samuel they’re are many things wrong with what u have said. Nothing about dbs feels like dbz. If u can tell me in dbz when they had the feeling of overthrowing gods then I’ll accept. Also you miss the entire point of the Moro arc. It is an arc for character development in power and possibly (not seen yet) mindset. And also Moro arc is doing exactly what ur complaining about power scales being so far off now. It is trying to be more technical instead of constant power boost eg vegeta learning how to use energy properly so that he can utilise more. Also ur point of bringing down power levels is dumb but oh well and this manga is enjoyable yes but isn’t balanced well. For both goku and vegeta learn how to go ui by will after this in 21 chapters and making them both insanely strong throwing the power scales(what u were complaining about) to far out. Only two Ui can match the strongest angel below the grand priest which means db would reach close to its end.
The fact you think this is done better than normal dbs manga is actually so bizarre since every problem u said about it is in this manga. So ur point doesn’t make sense. And this is the problem with some. Just cause u like a character doesn’t mean the arc is insanely good. It was enjoyable but only due to the new fan made character but once u pay attention to the actually story writing it is less balanced than dbs. So I don’t understand ur point.

Moro is actually close to what db enemies used to be which were characters with weird abilities showing that they are trying to bring back the og feeling with out down scaling characters power levels.
This arc literally has done everything ur saying this one does and better. There is a reason why fan made is more enjoyable for a set period of time and that’s because it’s more straight to the point but that’s y they r fan made, cause after this where do they go if they are hitting the pinnacle of the shows power levels. Fan made doesn’t think about longevity of the show and only thinks about what the fans constantly want. If dragon ball was done like this goku and vegeta would probably have like 20 different forms. Also you mostly likely forget about this fan made in a year or so showing that it isn’t memorable ( don’t say u won’t cause db absalon has a more interesting story and yet people forgot about it)

Also power scales are fine since in dbs when did it make a difference? They make sure that a planet being blown up is still a big deal.(also jiern is stronger than broly)so there is no need to bring down power scales cause it’s not Pokemon.

It is good in a way they scaled down the threat level in Moro's arc.
But if you feel the series would reach its end level if they brought in say a character like mui vegito who could be as strong as angels. I don't think mui vegito could match grand priest, again it's in the authors hands. And I don't see it would take the series to its pinnacle end.
Anyway my point is compare dB Moro arc to superman or batman or marvel. It looks like the same hero's Vs villian story conflict.
But if say there are different teams such as hearts team (cumber, kamin, oren, lags), Fu's team with meta cooler, Zamasu's team(broly, shallot, merno, Android 21), Z fighters, Moro's team, frieza's force, etc.....all searching for super dragon balls scattered through the universe revealing zalama and yamoshi or even higher powers of the multiverses on the waysuxh as the creator light.. It moves the story from this level to the next with some new concepts for example: searching the super dragon balls in the universe coming across frieza's home planet winta facing the acrosians or more races through the galaxy.. can you see how much further it can be taken.
The current concept of characters put under power check such as Omni overseen by grand priest above whis above bills above Goku...
While Omni king is a destroyer and the gods of destructions are so, their powers were checked by hearts, or zamasu or fan manga merno and such independent characters seems to be better I felt... Now if Omni king were like the grand Kai it's a different story but it's not the case.
One concept is that the angels are actually evil except 1 from the 13th like merno and have a grander scheme.
Another is future Zeni is a actually Omni Zamasu. Theses concepts will do great I feel.
The story which I say would make sense because the series is called dragon ball which is about dragon balls and the dragon, so teams searching the super dragon balls would make sense. it not Goku adventure or vegeta adventures or Saiyan adventures.
More over they should call it Super Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball Z something because the Japanese's kanji for super is hard to grasp by people around the world but the word dragon ball z was known.
Along the way they got to have one episode of cross over with one punch man. Just imagine...

Super and Co needs to step their game up. Fans are producing stories far better than what Super has come out with. Like hire these guys and start stepping out the box. This also felt alot more Z and the character developments where done very well.

Yes, atm Dragon Ball Super Kai is not an ongoing series, but the author has taken note of its recent popularity, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it continue sometime.

Super Dragonball Heroes anime/game story is awkward and seemingly rushed overall but has its moments.
There's also a good one shot of Cabba/Caulifla and Kale that is pretty new forget its name. Made by some Wolf guy. Takes place like 3 or 4 years after ToP and Cabba is no longer scrubby looking.
