Level 1 is for intermediate players and level 2 is for advanced players. You can get Rock House's our metal guitar beginner DVD at Muscians Friend. Once you comlete that course you will be ready for Alexi level 1
The backing tracks are within the program on the DVD but on the lesson support site you can download them and burn them to a CD to practice with.

I saw your comment and the way the learning system works is that we have two levels of membership, one for people who own a Rock House product, in which case you can access everything including the members section where the tracks are. this is why you can not find it. The other membership is for people who don't have a rock house product, in this case you get access to everything except the lesson support section.

Alexi actually got sick while he was here, throwing up in between takes, so what happens was on teh 2nd day we were luck y to make it through, so we had to really focus on his playing and put some of the talking in later. I guess you could be thankful that this exsits rather than just trying to pick it apart!

check the rockhouse-channel, it's stated that he did those DVD-sessions completely sober.
it is alexi's signature ESP model. just go to the website and you can see all of the different colors they come in. I personally like the pink limited edition model!!!!

of course they are hard to see here, but each DVD comes with a tab book and the on screen tabs are easy to see on the TV screen.
I have to say that Alexi is very serious when he came to work on his DVDs, he did not have a drink for two days. What happen is he got the stomach bug. he will be back at Rock House a soon for several more products
if you activate the subtitles and select transcribe audio at 3:25 you could aprecciate that alexi playing his fourth string sounds like god

I'm a guitarist too and i totally understand.
trying to nail the We're Not Gonna Fall melody (which i only discovered the vid for on youtube the day after i learned it ¬_¬) took me like 2 weeks, (i'm not a BRILLIANT guitarist =/)
and i had no BT for it, just the timing in my head and sometimes i'd play along with the song but it drowned me out and i got lost =/

man this lick is so hard to keep clean, so much string switching lol. Love it though, and Alexi is a genius for writing it!
I mean i am just throwing this out there, but has any one considered that the first time around he is playing it slow so you can follow it, then plays it up to speed. By the way you say sloppy be specific explain what is sloppy about it.
He now uses Seymore Duncan Blackout Active Pickups. The model he uses is similar to an EMG-81 however, some grounding issues that the EMGs have a re fixed in he Blackouts. Both are great, and I still use EMGs but my next guitar will have Seymore Duncan Blackouts.
Yeah That's partly true some of alexi's personal models have the 21-24 scalloped but not all of em. The u.s models are not scalloped though only the japanese one's are i found this out awhile back when i was living in japan. When alexi talks about his guitars most of the time he is refering to the american models. Cause last time i saw him in japan promoting them he mentioned they had a scalloped 21-24 fret on em just a little info for everyone confused about this. laterz

You must be a beginner who does not fully understand guitar Alexi is using diminshed scales. This is one of the things he is known for and diminshed scales sound differet then you may be able to recoginize. They are what create that great metal sounds.
@EnToTresko it's either his full blow sig or a 600 model, most likely his full blown sig.
If you're after the pinstripes only, you might as well get the 200 and seach "alexi 200 pinstripes" there's loads of trick ways to put em on yourself without paint =]

Is Alexi's ESP pink RV using EMG HZs or Seymour duncans i know for a fact the one in the back with the yellow pinstrips has seymours but what Pick ups do the pink one has

I learnt classical piano (not very metal:P) and they thought me that arpeggioes were the
1st, 3rd and 5th intervals of a scale.
Thats actually right, but the guitar method still is kinda right cos most chords are made from arpeggioes.

LTD is made by ESP, and LTD has lower quality. he has the signature guitars with the looks of the LTDs but they are ESP, which are done with different Materials.
Well actually that's half the truth some of alexi's personal models do. The U.S versions do not have the scalloped 21-24 frets, But the japanese models do i learned this when i lived in japan, During one of his clinics over there. Usally when alexi is talking about his guitars in U.S or europe he's talking about his U.S models and i've also seen him say in a few esp videos like the namm 08 one that his guitars are scalloped 21-24.Just alittle fyi for everyone that's confused on that.
