Very cool, sometimes we don't really think about items like this enough, there is a correct tool for everything, you are right that certain capo's are better for certain type of guitars. Thanks for shedding some light on this. Have a great day Jon! ;)
I use the old fashioned capo with a screw in the middle of the back, you flip it over the strings, hook it at the end and tighten the screw. OLD school 👴🏻
Thank you for reviewing the Shaubb pearl. I just got this as a total girly purchase but also wanting a good decent capo to record with. I'm used to the cheaper ones that are just quick to clamp on and I'm just noticing problems with them. I bought a Kyser yes I bought it because it was tie-dye lol... But I hate it it doesn't fit on all guitars and it's too tight. I wasn't too sure about the Shaubb for me but after listening to your review glad I got it.
I think your C1P is called C2P, (nylon string version). It looks so good! And it’s name after a Maori(native New Zealand) name. It’s a shame that they don’t have it yet in New Zealand and I have to get a rose gold or black one.
You should try the new Paige Pro, very expensive at $230 or the newer, cheaper Paige Clik ETI at $90. Both a lot more than most but they've all but done away with the tuning problem inherent in most capos.
nice guitar, lookes like a triple O or an OM but with smaler size ( not a parlor ) body, right? A bit like a Martin 000 R 42 with the abalone Binding in the front. I play for a lomg time guitar and i learn always a little bit in every of your videos, thx jon and all the best to you
Oh the Horror 😂😂 I think I’ve been using the capo the wrong way up 😂😂. In fairness I rarely use one but o will be learning some acoustic blues picking this year so I needed to see This. It was a really interesting and informative video Jon. You Explained some fundamental things that I was doing wrong. I love that we never stop learning with guitars.🙏❤️👍😄
That guitar sounds great! I've been looking at the ENYA line up as well as offerings from Kepma (Elite series - see TH-cam factory tour). It's harder to buy an acoustic guitar (online) because the construction variables are so great. However, the Kempa's Elite series have been compared as "Taylor" killers by some because of the construction technology employed. Have you tried a Kepma Elite series guitar? Again, your channel is great, always something new with honest professional reviews.
