- Hi all,
sorry for the quality of the video i couldn't film with the big tripod . But here's an unboxing of a model kit figure in 1/16 scale from Dragon . Its taken from the well known news reel footage of the ambush of the U.S 14th Cavalry at the Poteau crossroads in the Ardennes 1944 . The mg42 gunner appears in many publications they have tried to put a name to him for years .
Anyway it looks a lovely figure i hope you will enjoy it too .
Regards Gav.
Gavin, those "old" 1/16 Dragon figure kits are great. I've collected quite a few over the years and hope to refine my figure painting skills before I attempt them. Take care.
Tom S.
Cheers Tom i am impressed with this one i will certainly paint more in the future . Regards Gav.
That's actually quite a nice figure Gav! Good grab!! The fact that we model those subjects doesn't mean that we support their cause or what they stood for. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work marra!
Thanks George greatly appreciated marra . Regards Gav.

Hi Gav, that figure looks really good, eveb if it is nearly twenty-five years olds I thought the face looked particularly good, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, happy modelling, Les

Thank you very much Justin . Regards Gav.
Very cool kit Marra ❤😊
Cheers Shawn . Regards Gav.
Oh and one more thing. The directions way to paint his clothes is wrong. Hes not wearing anything US. Its actually his camo jacket. It was torn. There's a huge thing on missing lynx about it and calvin Tan and ron volstad who did the artwork came to the conclusion that it wasn't US rain gear. I know there was also a big conversation on Facebook about it too.
Thanks i still lean to the u.s kit but i respect your opinion and others . Regards Gav.
One thing you can do it you have any vehicle with the mg42? Just use dragon or tTamiyas 16th figures. They cost far less than resin or 3d printed versions by more than 60% and they look great.
Cheers marra much appreciated . Regards Gav.
More info about this guy's gear has come to light as regards his jacket apparently it's in waffen ss camo but it was very faded also these figures are re boxed by dàs werk
Cheers Ian for your comment . Regards Gav.
Yes gav we don’t like war I make tank and warships but I love the Royal Navy were a special breed we make models of war but we don’t agree with war there’s no winners in war our generation grew up modelling instead of fighting
Thanks Robert i appreciate the comment marra . Regards Gav.
