Obtaining an MRCS (Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons) degree can potentially enhance your chances of securing a fellowship in your desired specialty, but it’s not the sole determining factor. Fellowships often consider a combination of factors including your qualifications, experience, research background, and networking skills. Hai sir,i finished MBBS in 2014 and working in a government sector in india with 8 years experience. What’s the probability of getting job in Australia after passing AMC 1.?How long it will take to get job?
due to increasing saturation, do you think it’s better to complete specialisation in home country and come to aus or to do specialty training in australia ?
Both are possible options, the AMC standard pathway is relatively straightforward and comparatively inexpensive. However, the specialist pathway allows you to practice competitive specialties and apply for comparability as a senior doctor with high fees.
@@EmergencyFocus could you do a video on the specialist pathway. Especially for more competitive specialities like surgical subspecialties and cardiology etc. Thank you
Hi dr Rizwan thanks for the weekly educational videos I want to ask about ophthalmology, i like it and want to specialise in it , is is a competitive specialty in Australia ?
Every specialty is competitive and requires hard work. Not unattainable with the right experience, CV documentation, and interview practice. I recommend you book a Complete Career Support Package to get all the professional and documentation experience you need to land your first job in Australia! www.emergencyfocus.net/event-details/complete-career-support-package
Hello Dr. Rizwan, I just got licensed in my home country. I want to pursue Surgery as my specialisation. But I am confused whether UK or Australia is a better option. I would want to know your opinion for the same Thankyou Doc.
Surgery is a competitive specialty in Australia and the UK both, but not unattainable with the right experience, CV documentation, and skills certificates.
Hello Dr Rizwan, I am a recent Dow graduate (D24) & is confused about the plab vs AMC pathway, I have been watching all of your videos but i am still confused what to go for. Excluding experience, I have an above average cv, like have around 10+ publications, and is linked with an organization where I deliver research lectures & mentorship program, p.s I have cleared my OET, recently. Let me know your thoughts about how long it takes to get your first job in Australia after AMC-1, & what to prefer either UK or Australia (considering saturation in both countries). Thank you!

Hello Dr.Rizwan Thank you for your educational channel Iam in the last shift in my Arab Board Emergency Medicine training program What is the best choice for me to join Australian training program What about specialist pathway , can i join this pathway? How can i apply for this
If your highest level of specialization is accepted by the Australian College for Emergency Medicine and you have your mandated work experience afterward, consider applying to the specialist pathway. For more information, book a 1:1 session so we can discuss your options in great detail! www.emergencyfocus.net/booking-calendar/1-1-specialist-pathway
Please do a video on all about dermatology in Australia. I'm a doctor from Bangladesh doing diploma on dermatology. I want to be a dermatologist in Australia. How can i proceed?
Hello Doctor! I have done my MBBS in China and completed my internship from my university itself.. I haven't given MCI exam in India. i am preparing to give AMC.. Could you let me know if i have to have Indian medical licence before giving AMC?
If your university's medical degree is accredited and recognized by AMC, you dont need to obtain any other medical license but will have to complete your 12-month internship.
Hi Dr Rizwan, firstly thank you for the very educational channel. Question: I'm currently in an ACGME accredited IM residency program in Qatar. I wanted to know options in Australia for me post-residency? Do I need to give the australian exams still before being eligible to work in Aus? Also, about the specialist pathway through which some doctors have gone from Qatar to australia after fellowship. Thank you.
Yes, an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine (IM) residency program is generally acceptable for the Australian specialist pathway. However, you'll need to go through the process of recognition by the relevant Australian authority, which is typically the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). Your assessment, however, depends on many factors such as your CV, the extent and quality of your experience, and your interview practice. For personalized advice, I recommend you book a 1:1 session where we can discuss your chances in great detail! www.emergencyfocus.net/booking-calendar/1-1-specialist-pathway

Dermatology is a very competitive field in Australia, you can opt for training after passing your AMC 1 and 2 and when you've completed JMO/RMO roles.
