I saw this show in ohio back then, bret bumped into me when he came in, as the venue was rather small. I was 14 at the time and he just said, "oh, sorry buddy", and just patted my back. I didn't realize who he was until I saw him on stage. A drunk midget offered me a beer too, which was weird, definitely an awesome live show, I'd definitely enjoy it much more now than back then though.

1. A LOT more can be done than people think
2. Klayton rebuilt EVERY song he played in this concert FROM THE GROUND UP. That deserves more respect than singing live imo

Tell you what if you don't believe that they are playing live. Look up some videos that people were taking with phones or cameras. Klayton had to start this song two or three times in Saint Petersburg because there was a stuck key on his keyboard and you can clearly hear this. Check some videos from the front rows - you can actually hear him strumming strings on his guitar and he was really playing his song (you could tell it if you are somewhat familiar with guitar). They are using playbacks for sure, but they are also playing all of their parts themselves. This is electronic music and heavily processed instruments and vocals, that's why recording is so clean.

So many people say this is not "really" live ... but when some kind of dumbass hits the play button on his laptop he is a super live DJ? I don't understand those people, he is a one man band with a friend from another band and you hear at least 6 different instruments and now show me how you play guitar, drums and keyboard simultaneously while you are singing and performing, if you do that you are free to hate
I've been listening to celldweller. 5 years straight. Reading the comments. Oh come onnnn, don't hate him for remixing his song. He remixed this one SONG like a lot but i mean a lot of times, till of course he came to the version he liked from the celldweller album. I mean who the fuck cares anyways, different opinions and stuff. Klayton is amazing that's all.

No, there are interviews where Klayton himself states that Bret did a lot of the ear candy work as well as some structure work for the live show.
Ik this is 9 yrs late, but can you mention which interviews? Cuz as far as I'm aware, Bret only played a role when it came to the second version of frozen since him and celldweller worked together to remix the track.

I've seen this group live and mindless self indulgence was the headliner, these guys rocked, of course when I saw them there were 4 members, but they brought the house down! everyone loved them!
This is a little late reply but Celldweller is and always has been just the one red haired guy named Klayton. The other 3 from before were only for performing live back then. Also the other guy on stage with him is another solo artist and labelmate, Bret aka Blue Stahli.

If i sincerely were to once be as lucky as to attend to one of their shows, if you knew the way i can listen to music when i'm high,man it's just insane, anyway , i would get so fucking blazed at said show and appreciate the music and quality at such an extent, that i would consider not getting out of said show alive and be absolutly OK with that..

He hates having to have a band. It's why he didn't tour for the longest time. Having to work out the dynamic of the band and making sure everybody's ready and friendly and all that. Plus he likes to do everything himself. The 2-man pared down live show is what worked best for him, having a friend and similar musician to back him up.
