tri-klops and man-e-faces were my first MOTU's I ever had. I was born in 1986 so I had no idea who they were (but I knew who he-man was) when I was 5. So exciting to see this in modern form.
Tri-Klops was one of my favorite vintage figures when I was a kid. I was always so fascinated with the character and played with him so much. He along with Scare Glow and Beast Man are my favorites updates in the Origins line.
Man i wish playmates would have done something like this with the 90s teenage mutant ninja turtles figures. Kinda like what super7 is doing but for mass retail.
Tri klops and faker were my first 2 motu figures I got for Xmas in 1982. This video bring back memories. I remember taking off the paper off from faker chest.
I'm really hoping they'll do whiplash. He's my favorite masters of the universe character. The reason why is because he stormed into the king's throne room shocking them before collapsing to the ground badly wounded and asking for help because a inter-dimensional being which appeared from a portal and had no choice but go to his mortal enemies for help. Now that takes guts.
Just watched that episode the other day, it's a good one for sure, apparently one of the show's creators liked Whiplash a lot too, probably why he gets so much cool characterization.
"To Save Skeletor". Although I generally liked first season episodes more than the second, TSS is one of my most favourit episodes from the entire Filmation run.
My earliest memory of Masters of the Universe was the cartoon episode where Skeletor gathers together some minions. Tri-Klops used his eye to look inside a rock. I'm pretty sure I remember this character before He-Man or Skeletor.
I only casually follow information regarding this franchise, so this is the first I'm hearing that the Classics line was 7-inch. I now feel a lot less bad about missing out, because this means there's a chance they cash in by doing re-issues at 6-inch. Gotta get that cross franchise compatibility.
Man, it’s so hard to find this guy now. Every where is selling for a ridiculous price. We always get stiffed here in Canada because not every wave hits retail stores. Even loose or preowned is becoming a challenge to find.
Really nice update of the vintage figure which is one of my favourites, I've always loved his mythical-inspired concept; Tri-Klops is a curious character as in he actually wasn't used all that much on hindsight, yet was from those classic first two vintage waves and so has always been one of those classic, iconic core characters. The back-of-box art is interesting in that it recreates the original vintage box-art in but is like a continuation of that scene with TK firing his eye down at He-Man and Battle Cat (I actually never liked if TK was shown to have this power for some reason but meh, MOTU is whatever you want it to be). The colours of the figure are once again brighter but not offensively so; in fact some vintage TK's could seem a bit muted in their colour (depending where they were made) and I like the vibrancy of this new version. I haven't got any Origins yet (they're scarce here in the UK) but he's one that's on my wish-list. I'll probably use his eyes to represent his mood just like so many of us do on the vintage figure!! :D (Also looking forward to that mini-comic variant version based, we presume, on an earlier prototype look).
I found mine right on the pegs at Target and my retail stores have been horrible with releases of the Origins. Currently it's been Stratos and Jitsu warming pegs for the last 6 months
It's a fun feature for people who want to customize figures or just have fun with them by moving parts around. If you get Masters of the WWE universe, you can also use their body parts and accessories to customize.
What's not to understand? It let's you combine pieces in different ways, with a little painting and some sculpting the modularity is really helpful for customizing figures.
@@rootsnootthnute8598 I don't understand the point of it when most of the people buying these figures aren't customizers and the colors don't match at all from character to character.
@@butchersblade7068 Well it's about as easy to make them impossible to remove as it is to make them removable, and kids like to make their own figures regardless of how well the pieces match

No one does it better when it comes to MOTU, Dan. Your enthusiasm and positive nature makes it a treat to watch every time.
Triclops is another figure I never had as a kid. Its great to finally have him. I'm glad you are cranking out these reviews!
@@KunaiLeech I got him from Big Bad Toy Store

Nah they’d rather just rerelease the same figures for the 900th time
I've had this guy for a minute. He's a great update to a fantastic figure.
Is that kevin smith???
@@robd1329 indeed. I got to meet him at Power-Con a couple of years ago.
He's definitely a fan favorite for alot of people, myself included.

How would he work though? Would he have the power punch?
@@wumpus976 his tail would be connected to his back. While he would lose waist articulation, he would retain his action feature from his vintage toy.

I live in Illinois. I still haven't seen anything other than He-man and Skeletor.
There should be a Filmation version too, because of the visor difference.
They do BROSKI!!!!
they made filmation one for true bro
Finally found this figure locally yesterday and I didn't need to pay scalper prices

The sculpt hair was a nice part of this figure.
They should have included a 2nd visor with the triangular, square, circular eye. It would have made a world of difference.

I really hope they reissue this guy. He’s going for $60 on EBay!
They won't.
BigBadToyStore has him and other Wave 3 and 4 figures available for pre-order to be shipped in February, rn. Could pick him up that way.
Great review. My origins tri-klops is still sitting on my pile of Unopened figures. I need to do more reviews
Looks great! Good review. 😁
Just got him yesterday
Pixel Dan advertising ToyBro is like Microsoft Xbox advertising for Sony Playstation ... he is your direct competition.
I REALLY WANT THIS FIGURE!!! (My local Target SUCKS!)
No warrior ring ?
He looks better than the vintage
I love your review, keep it up man!!!

Nope.

And now everyone can have all the original members of the council of evil!
Does his "visor" spin?
got this guy coming in mail
My triklops figure in India had an all green sword, no black handle, everything was green.
Love me some comparison time!! I notice no 200x figure comparison but then again those figs were so far off and different I can totally understand.
The 200x line was a crap line
:D We try not to mention the whole 200x thing!!

He's got super strength too right?
This is a good figure.
Nice
