Benchmarking a CPU from the 2010's with games from the 2010's doesn't really say much about how the CPU would handle recent games. Still using GTA V and Rocket League in 2024 is a strange decision, to be honest. What about RDR 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and Far Cry 6? Or strategy games and building simulations that actually demand a lot of raw CPU power?
your point is valid but if u searched well, you will find what u are looking for here on youtube, there is a video for 2500k + 6650xt on recent games and it does work well with no bottleneck, far cry 6 included
I have a 2500k OC'd to 4.8ghz and stable with a 1660Super. I can play BG3 at 1080p on Ultra and get a comfortable 40-60fps. The ONLY reason I would need to upgrade is win10 EOL, at which point I'd need to replace everything anyway, and I don't play games that much anymore anyway so I'm most likely just permanently switching to Linux and virtualizing win11 for non-game stuff I need.
This alongside the Ryzen 5 3600 are the best and most popular CPUs. :)
I really couldn’t agree more!

keyword is budget, you can get these things used for like £15 (or $20)

Same has you, 2500k over locked at 4.8gh2, on Helldivers it shows his limits, not enough core even everything on low .
thinking of going laptop this time.. and get a laptop with a 4070 instead of having to build a new PC from scratch..
If you get a good deal then really nice indeed but make sure you have proper cooling as that is most if the time a bottleneck
I still have one in my retro gaming system.
Oh cool, did you overclock it or run it as standard?
@@techwithdaan Just stock speed paired with a 970. Got respectable fps on Dota 2 and Crysis.
Oh sweet!
@@techwithdaan Finally saved up for a used 10600K/3060 (12 gig) system but I still go back to old faithful once in a while.
I can indeed imagine, these CPU's are just amazing and especially for the price they are now which is near to nothing! I hope you enjoyed the video!
Don't show the guys who have wasted money on each new gen of cpus
Sounds good, I will keep it for myself haha
Ik had er ook eentje op 4.5GHz
Ah nice! Zelf heb ik hem niet hoger dan 4,8Ghz gekregen, ver weg van het wereld record helaas.
How did it not bottleneck
It does but not too much with a decent overclock, keep in mind these titles are mostly gpu heavy
4.7 ghz
Ah nice!
