That’s where the power comes from. Looks cool too. But for lower volume setups. Such as church. I gotta keep them cymbals lower. Otherwise I’m bringing down the Gods and waking errybody s ass up on Sunday am. 😆

When he catches his stick and begins playing again it's upside down. The upper half usually has knicks in it from hitting the rim making it a bit pokey, and the balance of the stick is now off because the sides have shifted. I think most people would lose it playing as hard as he does, but he powered through like it didn't even affect him. 10/10.

what is that weird upside down mic stand bottom next to his right crash cymbal for? Never see him use it or play on it? If im guessing that its supposed to be apart of his kit?

You're both wrong. It is a torque converter cut in half and hollowed out. Used as a bell. I made one and it is awesome.

Boring crowd
The ambience of the crowd is being overpowered by the audio of the drums through the mic camera
I love Atom but it really gets under my skin when i see a drummer not use any sleeves, felts, or wingnuts. Just asking for broken cymbals.
The DW stands he uses have felts and sleeves under the cymbals. The 9000 line is engineered a bit different than other stands. The sleeves are bolted down on the stand and the felt is permanently attached to the sleeve. Wingnuts have no say on whether or not a cymbal is cracked. Plus, he has an endorsement with Zildjian, so he doesn't have to worry about it.
Actually not using wing nuts would prolong the life of your cymbals.
