This interview was like two people who dated when they were 12, broke up after 2 months, and then 15 years later run into each other.

I agree! I would definitely like to hear him out and hear what he has to say. I’d love to hear about his ideas. I don’t know if I’d always understand or agree with them, but I think it’s interesting that he’s done so much research on these things. He’s clearly passionate about it. I could listen to him talk about these topics for a while.

I dont think they ever got their friendship back to what it was in the 90's
i had a friend (well bestfriend) since kindergarten up to highschool
then we had a fight (we like the same girl if you believe me and she dump us both when we already hate each other if you believe my story) and we stop playing again for like a year, then we reunited say sorry to each other and starts playing together again, but guess what, its not like what we are a year before, no crazy joking and more serious, then each of us went on our own way, seeing other people and make our own so called new bestfriend.
we still "friends" yes, but without "best" anymore.

Three years later he releases The Dream Walker with the song Tunnels, and Anderson Poet short film. So that went along well.
Obviously if it was awkward for any of them, Mark wouldn't have made the joke. xD It shows that they're over it. The past is the past. I found the joke hilarious and it makes me smile to see those boys being friends again. I was always more distraught over Mark & Tom's broken friendship than I ever was over blink itself. So, it makes me happy to see them working together, talking, and being friends again.
yeah and the best part is IT DOESNT MATTER ANYMORE BECAUSE THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER AND A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT NEXT YEAR YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry.......

Very cool interview, Tom and Mark had been friends for so many years, it really wasn't awkward (maybe a little for the other band members)... What would be super awkward would be for Mark to interview Tom now in 2016 and FYI, sad as I am that Tom has parted ways with Blink, I would pay to see that interview...
I find it so funny that Mark Hoppus knows Tom Delonge from Blink when they spoke about dicks and like random ass shit, but with angels and airwaves he sings about 'love' and 'human connection'.. He was so much cooler with Blink XD

Don't get me wrong, Travis is a good drummer, but Ilan is a fucking machine. I've seen him drum for Lostprophets, AVA, Nine Inch Nails and he's slayed it each time I've seen him.

To me, it seems like Tom has matured a little faster than Mark has. I love it actually. Sometimes Tom is funny but you have to pay attention. Mark is probably the funniest guy in the music business. So it works! :p

Dude I have always loved Blink and I'm not gonna argue that they aren't the best, they inspired me to get into music and learn guitar. But honestly Blink and AVA are totally different and for the type of band that AVA is, its really good they are all talented musicians and a lot of their songs are actually pretty rad you should listen to them like all the way through sometime you might me surprised with what you hear. But no matter what Blink will always be my all time favorite band. haha
i think the weirdest thing in this isnt that mark and tom are talking about angels, its probably more mark looking at them all in essentially the bands uniform

guys tom left blink to work on his side project with AVA, so mark and travis made +44 in a little spite of that, but the thing is blink has so many memories that they will never break and tthey all got so much talent serving on the front lines with their rock for you and your mom, so keep your pants off and enjoy the talent

My guess, angels and airwaves is one of the best things ever created for the people of certain caliber and mindset. There is so much emotions derived from their songs. Because simpler people care about fun, consumption, s3x, city lifestyle, good restaurants, etc. Here it is a much higher level of life comprehension and meaning.
