In the book "Jewish History, Jewish Religion", the author Israel Shahak (professor at Hebrew University, Jerusalem) brings numerous texts and legal rulings to demonstrate Jewish antipathy to non-Jews in the Talmund. He mentions a passage from the Talmud that says that Jesus will be punished in hell by being immersed in boiling excrement.
He also relates that Jewish tradition teaches pious Jews to burn copies of the New Testament and curse the mothers of the dead when passing non-Jewish cemeteries. Shahak highlights the famous passage from Leviticus commanding Jews to "love thy neighbor as thyself" and mentions that, according to rabbinic interpretation, "thy neighbor" refers only to Jews.
Shahak further suggests that the Jewish tradition values Jewish life more than Gentile life. He cites Maimonides’ assertion that whereas one who murders a Jew is subject to the death penalty, one who murders a non-Jew is not (Mishneh Torah, Laws of Murder 2:11). According to another leading commentator, indirectly causing the death of a non-Jew is no sin at all (Rabbi Yoel Sirkis, Bayit Hadash, commentary on Bet Yosef, Yoreh Deah 158).

I know right.... i got the book here, its fucked up in some spots, buttered up for weak men's beleifs. So from my understanding is the moral side, like in the Talmud it has "sex with children is okay" this is always morally wrong and NOT debatable so explain that please bc u say this happen around 1100ad and lasted 500 years... and what do we have after that, Sabbatai Zevi, Sabbateans and Jacob Frank Frankism and then Zionist (all extreme radical movements that hide in the shadows like the Dönmeh, turning Redemption through Sin, the opposite of what decent religions teach, even old Orthodox Jewish families speak of this stain and yes all religions have stains but when so much Nobility and power are involved it requires further study full fucking stop... so from where I'm standing alot of people are not Anti-Semitic they're just sick and tired of people watering down their religions because they have no discipline and are weak, so choose to be less religious to bend moral high grounds.. someone argue with me and tell me I'm bloody wrong!! !!!!! Culture may change over time but religions should not and the same with basic morality, where not animals so let not act like animals otherwise u part of the problem!

This video is extremely disingenuous. You don't have to be a Talmudic scholar to see how someone could find some of the passages troubling. Lying and being disingenuous about this only increases suspicion and distrust towards Jews.

    • @atospired397
      @atospired397 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

But you do, because it's one of the easiest things to be taken out of context. You don't just search up a quote, read what it says, and think that's the end of it. People often quote the Gemara, which explains the Mishneh, that can't be understood properly without commentary, and one is not allowed to learn it without a chavrusa (study partner), or a Torah Shiur (Torah class), or other works that discusses the Talmud.
Also, while it discusses laws, it's not the final version, and there are normally marks made in the Talmud to show if that's the accepted practice today, and even then there are different customs.
You also need to understand the basics of Jewish thought (which normally requires a good few years in Yeshiva, or study with a rabbi) to be able to understand what your studying with proper context.
Do you see why you need to be well-informed yet?
It's disingenuous to think you understand something that you don't, also known as the Dunning-Kruger effect

    • @baller84milw

@@atospired397 Then they should say all that. Other than that, do you think Jewish people display this same level of sensitivity, concern and reluctance when criticizing other people and cultures? • @atospired397

@@baller84milw Yes, I agree, they should've said that.
I'm Jewish, and we don't spend our time focusing on other cultures, let alone spend our time criticizing them. We don't need everyone else to be lower than us, for us to feel comfortable with ourselves. Any Jews who do, have personal things to work on.
I rarely hear any comments on other cultures from fellow Jews, so I don't know why you're basing your opinions on an assumption. That's a very confusing way of approaching things- I'm genuinely very curious why you think this way? It also felt very passive-aggressive the way you wrote "when you can't do it to others 🤷‍♂" - as if it is a fact, when you said you think that to be the truth.
Granted, the community I'm surrounded by are Hasidic & some Litvishe Jews, so not conservative/reform/secular ones. I have no clue what they think/do
And I don't know what you've seen online about us, but to make it clear, people tend to love spread negativity. Especially about a nation that has been persecuted and blamed for everything under the sun for the past few thousand years; it becomes very easy to spread lies and focus on the few bad apples.
And that's not to say there aren't problems, and that there are never any criticisms of other cultures, we're not perfect, G-d forbid, however, we work on ourselves and we continue to improve, which I believe matters most.
Also, I don't think anyone has to approach us with some type of sensitivity, the issue lies in when they want to spread hate. This comment section is a good example of that.
I hope this makes sense :)

Just because YOU personally don't behave like that does not mean there aren't other Jews in the world who do. All you have to do to find them is open a book, read a newspaper, turn on the tv or watch the news and you can find Jewish people criticizing other races and saying things that if said about them would be deemed "anti-Semitic." Go to Europe. The largest critique of the Native ethnic-European population in each country will largely come from someone in their Jewish population. That's why it's so funny to me when you guys say stuff like "we don't bother anybody" but I never see any christians moving to Israel en masse and attempting to subvert or change your Jewish culture. There was even that one Jewish woman in Sweden who was trying to tell them they needed more "diversity" or they were racist (I think her name was Barbara Lerner Spectre). The only reason non-Jews look into things like the Talmud in the first place is after encountering numerous Jewish individuals like this who are obsessed with criticizing and deriding our people, nations and culture.

Second - the people that solely were responsible for what happened to him are a small group. Also he was trying to change a lot in Judaism what obviously could not be accepted back then.
Third - don't you think it's kinda dumb to judge people by the book in 21'th century? Each religious book was written in times when people had absolutely different understanding of social norms etc. If a person is a religious Jew/Muslim/Christian, it only means his goal is to serve God. It doesn't mean he wants to drink your children's blood because there is some psalm or sura that teaches him to do so. If you feel unhappy about what happened to Jesus, it's okay to still hate who are responsible. But dude, it was 2000 years ago. Don't you think that hating the whole group of people to this day makes any sense? I mean, it sounds to me pretty childish and irrelevant. Otherwise you just hate us because you hate us, some people don't really need a reason.

from the footnote of the 21st printed volume by Koren Publishers…on page 343.
In standard versions of the Talmud, this story appears without the name Jesus the Nazarene, as the name was removed by internal censors. In tractate Sota (47a), Rabbi Yehoshua ben Peraĥya is depicted as having pushed Jesus the Nazarene away with both hands. The Gemara relates that Rabbi Yehoshua ben Peraĥya was returning to Jerusalem following his flight to Alexandria in Egypt, together with his student, Jesus the Nazarene.
After stopping at an inn and receiving reverential treatment, Yehoshua ben Peraĥya mentioned to Jesus that the inn was beautiful. Jesus responded that the innkeeper’s wife was unattractive. This response led Rabbi Yehoshua ben Peraĥya to excommunicate Jesus. Rabbi Yehoshua ben Peraĥya was unable to bring himself to revoke the decree of excommunication until it was too late and Jesus turned away from traditional Judaism.
It should be noted that the story of Rabbi Yehoshua ben Peraĥya, who was driven from Jerusalem by the Hasmonean king Yannai, could not have taken place any later than 76 BCE. Consequently, the Jesus the Nazarene referred to in this story cannot be the individual around whom the Christian faith was established. Many commentaries suggest that some or all talmudic references to Jesus refer to another person.

Do you want real context or are you just looking for a reason to hate?
I'll explain the situation in case anyone's actually curious:
      1. It should first be clarified this had to do with the Chabad sect, but even more specifically the meshichist sect of Chabad. Actual Chabad is against this
      2. The perpetrators were young adults (like 19-ish)
      3. Most Jews were embarrassed by this display
      4. Their reason for building the corridor underground was to expand the synagogue (the synagogue is downstairs)
      5. Childrens mattresses? Seriously? It's obvious it was used to block out sound
      6. It's in a tunnel, so of course it's gonna get soiled. What if they ate with a dip and it spilled while sitting on one of the mattresses?
      7. There were no children's toys, but the picture going around of a children's barstool was because 1 of their friends needed a place to put it and kept it there. Note, it wasn't actually in the "tunnel", but rather on the way to it.

Niddah - is said in regards to virginity. If a girl was G-d forbid transgressed, she'd still be considered a virgin, so when people marry her there'd be no discourse around that. However, if it were to happen after- continued in the Mishneh...
Kiddushin - Is pure law- it was to teach that once she is 3 years & 1 day old, one would be as liable as if she were an adult. It's of course not allowed, even if younger too
The Mishneh for Niddah - (continued)...She'd be considered married, as relations is a "valid" (we don't hold by that anymore, though) way of getting married. Again, discouraged and not held of today
Yevamos - This is funny- it shows how easily things get taken out of context. It refers to getting married with a canopy (which has legal significance) and so it was giving laws by using extremes.
Again, none of this is encouraged, G-d forbid. Far from it.
The way the Talmud works, is by using extreme examples to learn things from it. It doesn't tell you "this is okay, this is not okay", they are conversations
The Talmud uses examples of a 3 year old, not to say that this should ever happen, but to explain what to do IF such a thing were to happen
It's very hard to convey this to people who haven't grown up this way, since we understand it intuitively, but if you still have any questions based on how I answered you, all I can say is that we don't believe in these things in any case so I hope that helps

The context is with regard to virginity, not the act's acceptability. A girl who would go through such abuse was still considered a virgin according to Jewish law, but that does not mean the act is ignored or accepted and there is no evidence to support that.
      *Commentary on this*
"This mishnah teaches that in a legal sense, sexual relations with a girl over the age of three counts as sexual relations. I should emphasize that this mishnah in no way condones such an act (which is certainly rape) it just teaches that this counts as an act of intercourse. At the core of this notion is their understanding of the physical consequences of intercourse for the first time namely the breaking of the woman's hymen. As we can see at the end of the mishnah, if a girl has intercourse (i.e. is raped) before the age of three her hymen will repair itself. After the age of three, it will not. This, to the rabbis, means that after the age of three, intercourse "counts" in a legal sense. Before the age of three, it does not. Having taught this mishnah (and others like it) many times, I realize that this is a very sensitive issue. To talk about sex with young girls is very troubling. I certainly don't want people to read this and think that the rabbis thought that it was okay for men to have relations with little girls. As usual, the mishnah uses a clinical, emotionally distant tone. That's just the way the rabbis composed much of the mishnah."
You probably don't care though. I doubt your mission is to tell the truth in any sense of the word.

Same goes for when there was no sexual characteristics (Tumtum), or detection at birth that was later found out the opposite, after mature development.

The Talmudic traditions are not completely unified and interpreted the same. They are often taken out of context and there are instances of someone saying something evil as playing devil's advocate on a position that is to be refuted. However, there are some that cannot be pawned off in that manner and are anti gentile with some going as far as to say "well, if you were under the Roman Empire at that time.."
What's more important is the hermeneutics and Talmud go together and the tradition and it's theology grow apart from Christianity and it is not the same monaltry at the time they split, and is meant to reject Christianity and it is influenced in the case of antizionists Orthodox Jews and Zionist Jews by the destruction of the temple, and the Pharisees heavily influence it. Not all traditions engage in Kabbala either, but in the Khazarian tradition (which is not to say that all Jewish people are white Khazars engaged in a false identity) the Orthodox Christians they de-converted and the folklore of the time come together in a negative a dark esotericism.
Jewish Kabbala also has mimetic exchange with Masonry and hermeticism. The Gnostic impulse likes these systems because it gives them structure and body. The Renaissance hermeticists seized upon Kabbala and altered it, but over the centuries this is also a logical endpoint of the immanentized theology of both the Jews and the modalist collapse and scholasticism of the Catholics, as well as the nobility, bankers and merchant class displacing the church which kings engaged in. This evolves as well to the power of the intellectual in continental philosophy after the printing press. This involves now people of every group, but in the west a large number of Jewish people and these ideas and depth psychology have been influenced by Jewish esotericism and vice versa, including a good deal of Histmat Marxism and people like Kabbalist Walter Benjamin.
The assault on the Old Testament in Martin Luther which is basically Marcionism sets up the German Higher Critics and Liberal Theologians to falsely undo the New Testament with word fact fallacies and assumptions that Rabbinic Judaism underwent no changes when giving exegesis to allegorize the entire Bible into an Old Hegelian evolution and say Germany at the time was the pinnacle of that "evolution." Both sides of this like Rabbinic arguments and out of Darwinism racial essentialism influenced not only the Facists, but the whole world, from anglophile protestants and Europeans using Sufism, to the absurd British Israelites and certain Zionists that heavily populated Israel as well as communists like the Stehrn Gang.
While these groups are not all crazy Satanic Kabbalists, in the halls of power and the elites, as well as those who favor Marxism, own Pronhub, own OF, blackmail people with Ghislaine Maxwell's father and Jimmy Saville, or Babylonian Temples on Epstien Island, or the abhorrent beliefs of enslaving goi in Schneerson, the gnostic transhumanists, your Rothschilds and a percentile of those hardcore Zionists living in Isral and trying to bring about a new messiah there are beyond a shadow of a doubt a number of people who do have dark beliefs be they Satanic belifs that the world must be corrupted and evil integrated to bring in the messiah or just a more traditional Rabbinic Judaism that is supremicist and ethnophylatist, along with the insertion of a people into the middle east surrounded by enemies that must justify any means necessary to maintain US and European support, including subversion of our government, interference with our CIA and NGOs in our religions and monetary penalties and laws plus monetary penalties and canceling critics of Israel and isolationists.
There are plenty of Jewish people who see this and are critical of it and debate those darker hermeneutics. To say they do not exists and exist in positions of high influence is as disingenuous as saying every evil in the world is just Jews and taking those verses out of context and painting all of Judaism as Marxist or Satanic.

    Sanhedrin 54b 20:
"What does it mean that the Torah does not deem a younger boy to be like an older boy? Rav says: It means that the Torah does not deem the intercourse of one who is less than nine years old to be like the intercourse of one who is at least nine years old, as for a male’s act of intercourse to have the legal status of full-fledged intercourse the minimum age is nine years. And Shmuel says: The Torah does not deem the intercourse of a child who is less than three years old to be like that of one who is three years old."

@jeremywhite, That would be idol worship, as Jews don’t worship human beings and a human being can’t be Gd. That would put limits on an infinite deity. Now THAT would be heresy!
Go learn about the Seven Noahide Laws.
Judaism is the only faith that says you don’t need to be part of the group to have a share in the world to come. Non-Jews just need to be righteous and live by the Universal covenant that god made with Noah.
So no, unless you are raised in Christianity, it’s hard to believe that a Jew (Jesus) can be his own father and son.

On the eve of Passover, Jesus the Nazarene was hanged and a herald went forth before him forty days heralding, "Jesus the Nazarene is going forth to be stoned because he practiced sorcery and instigated and seduced Israel to idolatry. Whoever knows anything in defense may come and state it." But since they did not find anything in his defense they hanged him on the eve of Passover. Ulla said: "Do you suppose that Jesus the Nazarene was one for whom a defense could be made? He was a mesit (someone who instigated Israel to idolatry), concerning whom the Merciful [God] says: Show him no compassion and do not shield him (Deut. 13:9).
