waterloo could not be insider trading. having knowledge before others based on external environment events is not insider trading especially public news that everyone knows. had it been to spread rumors...yes that would be like the later rumor. getting secret organizational information, would be too. but not the outcome of a war. i honestly think the it was still in its early years, the public trading of stocks, and he was smart to see that events and their sizes had directly related impactt. what could be bigger than a war between two world powers, britain and france???? duh.

Where I grew up, we were amongst a lot of Jews but had nothing to do with them. Why? Well, they were Hasidic Jews so they didn't talk to us and we didn't talk to them. Now that I know more about them, I sort of feel sorry for them.
They’re generally happy living an insulated life. It allows them to fulfill the mitzvahs that are paramount to Judaism in a way they think is appropriate. They don’t need you to feel sorry for them.
