As an Iranian I don't care whether my neighbour, colleague, classmate or friend is jewish, muslim, christian, atheist, gay, bisexual or anything else. From the spiritual point of view Humanity comes before everything and from the Iranian thousands of years old Identity that is deeply rooted in our culture, Iranian Nationality always comes before anything else. You are my compatriot, then you are my ally for life. PERIOD.

Jews (more specifically Judeans) were dragged into exile as slaves by the Babylonians, not the Persians. Cyrus conquered Babylonia, freed them, and allowed them to return to Israel. Unlike most Ancient societies Persia didn't practice slavery.

Iam a Iranian Jew who lives in Iran , I can answer this question .. we’ve lived here for over 2500 years and we are Persian Jews .. we don’t in anyway feel prejudiced against or have to live in fear like the western media portrays .. we live , we freely practice our religion and dress as Jews and are an important party of Iran society. Iran is against Zionism and it’s crimes against humanity as a lot of Jews outside of Brooklyn or Israel are. Again we are safer in Iran than Israel or Europe.

Iran is constantly interfering around the world, literally supplying money and arms to murderers, giving weapons to pirates who attack trade routes, conducting cyber attacks on Western democracies, and then playing dumb like "What did we do? We're the victim in all this"
Yeah the Jews have "lived together" under a hostile regime. The population of Jews in Iran has plummeted since the Islamic Revolution, it is only like a 10th of what it was prior to 1979. Previously, Jews had no legal restrictions on them under the Shah. They had legal protections. Since the Islamic regime has come into power, the same thing has happened that's happened every time an Islamic regime comes to power: Life becomes hell for the Jews. Jewish schools are run by muslims hand-picked by the regime, visiting Israel is straight up illegal, the Iranians desecrate ancient holy sites like the tomb of Esther with 0 consequences, Jews are afraid to ever say anything about any of this because they could be imprisoned or worse. It's a holocaust-denying regime so their thoughts about Jews are pretty obvious.

If you watched the video than you would know that the creator acknowledges that for most of its history Jews were treated decently and as some points very well. But you are willingly choosing to turn a blind eye to history if you ignore persecution that Jews were victim to in the middle east. Thankfully Iran is very diverse and tolerant to minorities, however just like every genocide, tolerance quickly diminishes when the majority look for a scapegoat. The 10% of Iranian Jews that chose to remain in Iran are protected due to their loyalty to Iran. Most Jews prefer to remain loyal to their people instead of the countries that they reside in. And who is to say that Iran would be as tolerant of Jews if they numbered 400,000 instead of 10,000.

    Iranian jew here,
Yes during the first years of revolution Jews were not having it that easy... neither did literally anyone. It was a newly established unstable regime that was cracking down on all potential dissidents, be it Jews, Christian, zoroastrians, sunnis, seculars anyone a bit critical. All the way to the early 2000s the regime was uncertain and cracked down regularly.
Today however people are living quite the normal lives. There's no whips, no random detention and definitely no coming out of nazi detention centers as this video suggests.
Zionism is illegal though. It's like nazism in the west. And the same way you are cooked when you are a supporter of hamas in Europe or in Israel you are cooked when you are a supporter of Israel in Iran... it makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
It's pretty straightforward but it's not like Muslims in Israel have it different, if anything I'm pretty confident they have it worse as what I've seen they are highly looked down upon by Israeli society. Iranian society never looked down on Jewish people, the Muslim fundamentalists might have their reservations but frankly you never get treated differently for that. You hear some jokes about you being greedy but trust me Esfahanis have it much worse hahahah.

“Iranian Jews have been inhabitants of Iran longer than any other group. They have lived in a diverse range of regions and forms of settlement-predominantly in cities, but also in nomadic communities. Historically, many Persian rulers, including figures from the Seljuk, Ilkhanid, and Safavid periods, either had Jewish ancestry or maintained close ties with the Jewish community. For example, Rashid al-Din Fazlollah, the vizier of Ghazan Khan, was a renowned Jewish figure who served as a scientist, physician, and perhaps the wealthiest landowner in Iranian history. His endowed estate, which extended from Yazd to Egypt, is documented in a monumental manuscript that still exists today. Additionally, about 30% of Qajar princes were of Jewish descent.
A few clarifications: the Persians did not enslave the Jews; rather, Cyrus the Great liberated the Jewish people from captivity in Babylon. Furthermore, Queen Esther’s story comes after Cyrus, not before. Iran is home to many Jewish holy sites, such as the Shrine of Esther and Mordechai in Hamadan. Many of these sites are revered by both Muslims and Jews. I hope one day you’ll have the chance to visit!”

I think it’s important to mention how Khomenei went to power. It was not his influence alone. He had made a coalition with the left, shared a specific anti-shah strategy forcing the shah and his family to flee, leading to the revolution. Then, once in power, he proceeded to execute all those who were his secular partners of the left because of course it didn’t fit the ideology he wanted to pursue, and he had only used them to gain power and control.
It’s an important lesson to teach to all watching, because this unholy alliance is happening again globally in a similar way.

He allowed to re-name " Anglo- Persian Petrol" as " British Petrol / BP "in his own country. He used SEVA force to arrest opponants and gave harsh punishments . Then Puppet Autocratic clown Shah was removed by same west when he had big ambitions and refused to renew petrol agreement . Same west sent Ayethullah Khomeini from France to remove Shah and to suppress growing Communist influences in the region. Then they created war between Iran & Iraq , sold weapons both sides. You can't pretend Iran's Muslim population doesn't exist. Iran's Islamic state in the past 46 years has been horrible but that can't and shouldn't erase the fact that a fairly big part of Iran's art, literature and culture in the past 14 centuries have been inspired by Islam too. A lot of our architecture, many of our poets' faith expressed in our literature etc contain Islam and Islamic teachings whether we like it or not. It's also true that Iranian identity is not limited to Islam and its Islamic era. Most Iranians still carry a lot of the culture and spirit of their pre-Islamic roots (such as Zoroastrianism) in their minds and hearts. Those who try to erase or minimize the pre-Islamic identity, history and culture of Iranians are as ignorant as those who try to do the same to the history, literature and culture of post-Islamic Iran.

lies. In reality, Iranian Jews are unique among Iranians in that they are permitted to travel to Israel, primarily because they have relatives there. Remarkably, the Iranian Jewish community is the only Jewish community worldwide that does not require an armed guard at their synagogues to guard against potential hate crimes. This is because not a single hate crime has occurred in Iran against Jews, Christians, or Zoroastrians. Interestingly, one could argue they have more rights, as they are allowed to consume wine and alcoholic beverages, which are illegal for Muslim Iranians. Furthermore, Iran is the only nation that guarantees permanent parliamentary seats for its minorities, such as Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians, to ensure their voices are heard. Unlike other countries, where they must compete with candidates from majority backgrounds, diminishing their election chances, in Iran, Jews exclusively vote for their representative. For additional seats, they compete on an equal playing field.
Another advantage of having a minority seat is that whoever is elected works solely for the community's welfare. In contrast, elsewhere, even when a minority candidate is elected, they represent a city rather than their community.
This highlights that Persians genuinely care about human rights, a Persian invention, unlike Westerners who use human rights as propaganda against adversaries. Recent events have exposed their lack of genuine concern for human rights.
Religious freedom, also a Persian innovation dating back 2,500 years to Cyrus the Great, is deeply embedded in Persian DNA. For Iranians, there is no distinction between Iranian Jews or Muslims; they are all Iranian.
This mindset among Iranians, which ensured that Jews were never discriminated against, is why that Jewish Iranian turned down the $60,000 each offered by Israel as a bribe to any Iranian Jew willing to seek refuge in the US or Israel, stating that their Iranian identity is not for sale.
Israel's public attempts to bribe them to leave Iran contradict its claims that Iranians wish to harm Jews worldwide. The fact that Jews not only live in Iran but enjoy privileges unavailable elsewhere demonstrates that Iran is anti-Zionist, not anti-Jewish. Don't just take my word for it, as I might be a pathological liar like the person who made the video or wrote the comment I’m responding to. Instead, read articles from Iran's adversaries, such as British news outlet The Guardian or American news source USA Today. Since I can't post links in TH-cam comments, you can search for their articles by title, which I will quote verbatim in quotations.

@ at the advent of islam persians were banned from making or listening to music with traditional persian instruments and such. Jews were also at the time made to do jobs that muslims were banned from doing. One of the things persian jews became prominent in was persian music. Persian jews not only preserved the instruments, but also the traditional style of persian music and were an integral part of the preservation of this aspect of persian culture.
