  • Four years and three Prime Ministers after leaving No.10 Downing Street, Theresa May joins Lorraine live in the studio for a TV exclusive about her no-holds-barred book 'The Abuse Of Power: Confronting Injustice in Public Life'. She'll be telling Lorraine about the realities of life behind the door at Number 10 and why she believes many in power aren’t using their position for the greater good. As well as that, she'll be talking about what her life is like now she's no longer running the country and why - like Lorraine - she loves Craig David. Plus, we'll be finding out what she really thinks of her £28,000 parliamentary painting.

I was so glad she stayed on as an MP as PMs USED to do, Churchill and Attlee for example instead of running off to the Lords or the private sector for a massive salary “consulting”, a principled, clever woman who knows how Parliament works. Certain PMs have tried to create a UK presidency by the back door and we are simply not that.

I’ve never voted Tory and never ever will, but I do think the way Mrs May was treated was unfair and nasty by her own party. I don’t agree with her politics, but I do believe she is someone I could sit down with and have a respectable conversation with. Unfortunately, I can’t say that about the other lot in her party. The most underated and under-valued Prime Minister the UK had. She wasn't gonna put through a deal if it was bad for country trying to please Parliament and the EU. However those in Parliament grew inpatient and the media saw her delays as chaos. But in hindsight Theresa May was never given the opertunity to shine. Is the turmoil she'd recieved part of sexism in parliament? I'd think so because Boris put through a rubbish deal and he stuck around even after making several mistakes in power, people still backed him. Liz Truss became the shortest serving Prime Minister after a revolt and Rishi Sunak inherited the problems causing inflation and further adds to the decline in UK economy and he stays put. Gone are the days of Margaret Thatcher, now it seems women in power are trampled on.

I'd put Cameron second bottom on the list (he plunged the country into austerity and started the Brexit mess then buggered off). I'd probably put Sunak at the top of the list begrudgingly... I don't agree with most his policies but he has the character and temperament of a leader and he is at least committed to some noble pursuits.
      Sunak
      May
Johnson (can't believe he's this high)
      Cameron
      Truss
      For me.
