- It's her name on the battle-bus, on the election leaflets and on the placards that surround every speech that Theresa May makes. For the Tories, the Prime Minister is the prime asset of the party in this highly-personalised campaign. But what is it that drives Theresa May herself? Channel 4 News has been speaking to some of those who know her best, including her former Oxford tutorial partner, who remembers her saying in their first term that she wanted to become Prime Minister.

Whilst I appreciate the attempt at a personal profile, it's a shame it missed out on the bigger details - her seduction by the dark side of the Force, her becoming a Sith Lord, and leading the Empire’s attempt to eradicate the Jedi Order and ascend to ultimate supremacy in the universe.

I think that's a bit harsh. She's gotten caught up with this Brexit debacle so she hasn't really had the chance to stamp her ideas on public policy. The UK cabinet is split; the parliament is split; the Conservative membership is split. I think her mistake lies in trying to please everyone, but I don't think she's a horrible mean person.

We only had debates since 2010, so you used to vote Tory when there weren't even debates. It's not worth not voting Tory over something so silly as TV debates. Corbyn would be a disaster as PM
Why would he be a disaster? Brexit negotiations? Well Labour have Ken Loch (legal legend) as their foreign secretary while BoJo is negotiation on our behalf.
Money? Labour's manifesto fully costed, backed by Bank of England Economists and with lots of clear headway to put extra reserve money in all our pockets, while the Tories have a vague, unbacked, uncosted manifesto that directly attacks the Old and Young as well as anyone struggling to find a job, many economists have said it will contract our economy instead of grow it, it is also very similar to Greece's austerity programmes which have hammered the Greek economy.
Immigration? Labour and the Conservatives actually have similar policies: you're only allowed in if you have a job sorted and waiting for you upon arrival. If you really care about immigration vote UKIP.
Is it strength of the leader? Well as already seen, May wont debate, cannot answer questions with any clarity what so ever and has managed to fall out with her own Chancellor just weeks before an election. This is all while Corbyn is gathering crowds in the tens of thousands and answering every question given to her.
Brexit itself? Corbyn is a euroskeptic and has always had a solid plan on how to leave sensibly, while may is a self proclaimed Bremainer.
IRA? it's simple, Corbyn has denounced the IRA and was called a 'Hero of the time' by Thatcher. Meanwhile the Tories have an EX-IRA head councillor.
I really do appreciate that Corbyn might look weak, but May is far weaker. Think about it, you seem like an intelligent guy, The Tories had a majority in parliament, no one could block them. The only reason they called this election was because they either want to U-turn on Brexit or want to do something so crazy or stupid that they know they will face a small rebellion from their own ranks.

I just watched the Channel 4 documentary on Corbyn, then straight away watched this one. The contrast is unbelievable. One is a genuine, compassionate and cares about people, the other is a posh toff completely out of touch with 99% of the population
