Naturally, it has an effect upon our brain. While sitting at the same place, we get the same thoughts about our work and our stress grows more and more when the same things are around us. When we go out for a walk, the air we inhale their has an effect upon our body. It is not as same as the air in our houses and so, it removes our focus from the things we were facing previously but, our mind is refreshed. And when we do the activity of walking, our brain is not in a static state anymore and it sees many things around the trees, the free environment outside and for sometime it forgets anything that occurred in the past when we were at home. It can also find solutions to our things that are making us stressed and in an unrecognised way and when we return back to our things at home, we have a new energy to work upon the things. Thank you for making this magnificent video my sweet Becca ❤️ much love as always 💗
I've had such a lovely time catching up on your comments, as usual. This is so insightful. I cannot thank you enough for always being there. The OG supporter! Sending love to you, always and always. 🧡
Another fave video! omg love this! 💗💗 Walking seriously saved my life. During the pandemic i really started getting serious about going on walks six days a week. It greatly helped my sanity and mental health and eased anxiety I was going through. It also helped me get my body back in good condition, improved my vO2 max and helped me start getting fit and healthy (after a period of really being uncomfortable and unwell) -there are tremendous physical benefits but I have to say the MENTAL health benefits helped me the most. There's something about going on a walk that helps clear your mind from chewing on things or obsessing - and even if you're angry or fearful you can "walk it out" ... haha I like to imagine I'm taking my sometimes badly behaved "Ego" puppy on walk until it calms down lol You can start small too - even small walks around the block help. I now walk about 2.5 miles a day in all weather and much longer on weekends. I use a smart-watch to count steps and make maps and it's fun to see the miles accumulate over the year. I also use an app journal to keep memories of fun walks. In the summer I look at birds or go on fun hikes, in the winter I walk around town and look at holiday lights (since it's dark so early) - be careful, be aware of your surroundings, stay hydrated... walking is the best! 💪💪
Helllooooooooo!! 🧡 Ugh, I love this, as usual, you have taken my breath away with your dedication and gorgeous comment. I feel like I get a little snippet into your life and how you cope and I adore it. Thank you so much for taking the time to share it all with us - you are a legend. 🧡
@@IamBecca aww 💗 thank you! I used to not share things (I was always the "listener" in my friend group) but then I'm like, "if I can help anybody else by sharing how I bumble and fumble my way through life maybe it's good ! 🤣
I agree, making walking (or in my case lifting weights and stationary cycling) a habit is a great way to boost the mood and get some cardio in. I love how the color of your hair and your jumper compliment each other. Stay safe and take care of your beautiful soul. 🧡
You're so right - exercise generally is such a great coping strategy. And DAVID! Don't make me cry in public (again!?) you're so so lovely. Thank you, always. I needed that today. 🧡
Great video subject for my Sunday evening blues . It getting dark earlier now ; I'll be looking forward to your videos throughout the winter months. Keep a spring in your step when you go outside . Keep active my UK Gal ! Steven
It's a funny coincidence that a week ago, before this video was even published, I've made a resolution to incorporate more walking into my daily life :) What keeps me motivated is that I've got a little notebook and I take a note of each walk, every day, with a date and location/destination. Whenever I'm feeling sluggish or unmotivated, at least I'm thinking: hey, I need to go for that walk, so that I can put it in my notebook! Haha.
I LOVE THIS! How are you getting on with walking? Let me know! I love that you take a note of each walk too - that is such a lovely idea, I'm defo stealing this haha! 🧡
Hi Becca great to see you again! and Wow your still a Stunner!!😉🤭 I hope your well and looking forward to seeing your YT Channel blossom. You deserve it more than anyone. Yep dogs are awesome too I love mine Toby he's a good boy :) Much Luv to you Xx ❤️🤭✌️
I started going to the gym in July to walk on the treadmill once or twice per week. That lasted about 2 months before I started tripping on the treadmill. I have neuropathy in my feet (so I understand your complaint about your feet at the end of video however my numbness doesn't go away) from chemo several years ago so I struggle with walking. Since the weather has gotten cooler I have been walking in the neighborhood a couple of times a week. I have to focus on where I am stepping so I can't listen to anything but it is nicer to see nature than to look out the window as I did on the treadmill. Not sure what I'll do when it's colder however in North Florida there isn't much really cold weather. Unfortunately today I tripped and fell in my living room so I think it will be a few days before I will be out walking again. 🤦♀ Hope you have a great week!
How are you feeling now? I hope you're on the mend. You're so right about getting out in nature though, well done. Thank you so so much for your lovely comment.🧡
when i was younger i used to be lazy and get the bus everywhere, but now i walk everywhere and i feel incredible for doing it especially on days where i wake up grumpy, and when i come back from my walks i feel a lot better
Thanks so much for covering this! Really great advice. I'm aiming to get more time outdoors this winter, and use my love of woodland walks to keep it regular.
Hi Becca, that was a well timed video for me. It was my birthday on Saturday and I asked for a treadmill from my family (which I received) as I can’t always leave the house because I care for my mum. Anyway, I also received a Fitbit and the treadmill syncs to an app called iFIT. It’s great because it has so many walks for all types of abilities all over the world. I’ve just finished a walk in Provence, climbing up a ridge and looking at all the amazing views. Tomorrow I’m going for a walk around the ancient city of Carcasssone 😂. Anyway, I totally agree walking is one of the best ways to relax and destress. I also listen to lots of audible books and you don’t notice how far you are going when you’re engrossed in a book. I do feel a bit of a cheat when I tell someone I’ve read this book and that, when I haven’t actually “read” them but anyways, it works for me. Thank you again for a lovely video and amusing me right until the end! I hope your foot came back to life quickly. Love and hugs Tracie x❤️
Hi Tracie. Firstly, I really hope you had a wonderful Birthday. These sound like great presents! I love my Fitbit. And I feel exactly the same about audio books! I always sort of chuckle at myself when I say 'oh yeah I've read that' when I know full well that I listened to it haha! But it is still engrossing yourself in a book! Thank you, always. And for watching to the very end. Haha! Sending a huge late-birthday hug! 🧡
Great video Becca, agree 100% walking for health & general wellbeing. I suffer with autoimmune disorders, so not always easy, but if I manage a 20-30 min walk a day, especially in nature it really helps me so much mentally! 🌤️🚶🌳🌲💜
Oh Fiona, by the sounds of it you're doing absolutely amazingly. You're a true inspiration. Please look after yourself - sending a HUGE virtual hug your way. 🧡
@@IamBecca I find the presence of the sun crucial to health and mood. Being Italian myself, I must say that during the fall and winter my health & mood suffer, compared to the spring and summer. Sun exposure should be the top priority for one's mental and physical well being.

FINE - DRAG myself to the gym, 10 minutes in i am already better and eventually afterwards i am ways too flooded with serotonine and exhaustion so that my demon has shut up. depression is a lying twat. about everything! ....when the lockdowns came, it was a veritable disaster for me and my gym routine, so first i compensated by climbing the stairwell of my then job building, 16 floors, gave me a proper heart attack everytime, and then the second lockdown came and really ruined my mental health - since that time i identify as a sociopath, no humour intended. but i also discovered wintery midnight walks. oh the joy of that....trenchcoat on, nobody to disturb me and my thoughts, and again - it keeps the demon at bay. also i am close to our biggest city cemetary, and i did a long wintery walk in there (during daytime. im not THAT weird.) - very sobering and contemplative ...and always the same results: i always felt loads better after that.
