100% relate to what you say in this video. I was widowed at the age of 28, my husband died suddenly. Thought my life was over and then 9 months later a new man came into my life and changed everything! Happy to say we have now been together 10 yrs, married for 8yrs and have a beautiful almost 3yr old little lady. I never thought I would love again, never thought I would marry again and certainly never thought I would be a mum. Life is good! Thank you for sharing your life, it's so lovely to see you happy ❤

I lost my bf to brain cancer 2 months ago. He was 35. I watched him detoriating in hospice. It has been ao traumatising. Thank you for sharing
I understand everything you say Becca. Love after loss is much stronger because you appreciate everything in life. The little things, a touch, a smile,watching a beautiful sunset. These memories of our Husband's will live on in our hearts but we also can love again. Sooo happy for you Becca. Both our husbands were sick at the same time and I saw the pain he went through. I am at peace with my husband's death. The Dr's did everything they could and were so great. I think your at peace too.😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

The videos of your late husband just came into my feed a day or so ago. I watched a couple of them and I was so impressed with how you handled yourself at least on camera, after the fact. You are a very beautiful person and I'm happy to have come across your channel and see that you seem to be doing quite well. I really enjoyed listening to the things you'd said as well, because I'd been dealing with the loss of my father, granted it was years before your husband passed. I don't have much of a family network around me, just my mom, who also is still grieving. Having that new person in your life, a connection is the best feeling ever, I imagine.

My middle child died when she was only 12. Her little sister was 8 years old. Since that time we've had lots of conversations about getting to enjoy things without sissy, doing things sissy would have enjoyed. It's hard. We very much are different people now than we were before. Losing a child/sibling is much different than losing a spouse. We've watched Up many times. Carl loved Ellie but now he has to figure out how to live and love without Ellie. I'm glad to see you happy. Wishing you all the best.

I remember your late husband, he was such an inspiration to me when my mom was diagnosed stage 4 breast cancer sadly mom passed away couple of months. She had a good fight. I started watching your late husband's channel when my husband had a health scan & scare. He continues to have health scares but is very strong and healthy right now. Their personalities and looks are very similar, and I resonated with you being a young wife and our personalities being similar as well! It is so strange, yet I am grateful for TH-cam connecting people and similar life journeys. You have grown into yourself so much, and you are simply stunning! I hope that you start putting out more videos because your beauty and personality are needed in this world!
I am so genuinely happy for you!! The best part of this video is when you said it is your partner who knows most about your late husband and that he supports you with your feelings (good and bad and mixed I guess). He must be a very good heart and have a mature personality. I think many people would inevitably fall into some kind of jelousy and have flare ups of the feeling of “having to compete with a ghost”. But instead, he supports you and understands the complexity of your situation. This is wonderful and I am so happy you don’t only match in so many things but you don’t have the burden of jelousy (again, inevitable for most of the people I think, except for special ones like you two ☺️) Wishing all the best on and on! 🧡

I love seeing and knowing you are doing well. When you are young, your feelings of everything are so much more intense and as a much older person, I can still remember that. I suspected you were going through quite a lot, and especially at the times you were so quiet. But here you are now, on the other side of it and experiencing love again at a time when you truly seem ready. It makes my heart so happy. I think we all go through love and loss of some kind as younger people and it does shape who we become and it is very traumatic. As for your feeling of everyone around you dying, that is my place now at 61. I have lost both of my parents, I have a brother that is terminally ill and people I have known throughout my life seem to be dying off at an accelerated rate. 😮 I guess at my age you should expect it more, but it is still unsettling. YOU however have a long time before that point, so enjoy every moment! And I will enjoy your enjoying that.

I do this work and it is both a blessing and a penance. By chance, all this happened in these 5 years, or maybe it's not just a coincidence... My Dear Sweet Becca...again you had me in tears. Your relationship with Dan was doomed from the git go. There was no miracle for him to live a long life. So you were in a short- term relationship that was bittersweet. ( I have to admit I did love the wedding video...fairytale.) I am so HAPPY that you found another man to love! It is great to see you so happy! Love does that to us, doesn't it? We often don't realize what we are missing, as we get used to not having anyone or anything that is truly meaningful in our lives. We can garden, we can have pets, we can take walks or do exercise, we can visit friends and family, go shopping, go on a trip, etc. and it all is fun and enjoyable, with love mixed in. But romantic love, partnership love is another kind of love, and many of us never find it again, nor do we look for it. I think this is a big reason the love scammers are so successful, is because lack of love often leaves us vulnerable, and we want to believe we have found love again.

I am SO happy for you!! ♥ Can't wait to know more about him! Love adorns and adds to our life, it never takes anything away from who we were. Fortunately, a really amazing partner loves everyone and everything we've been through as well in a sense (they hold space for our memories and join us where we need to be in the present). OMG, I so relate to the paranoia of others getting ill or leaving us. It's so great that your partner "gets it" and understands about this. I really struggle with this and there's really nothing you can do except for focus on the truth which is that even though life is an unpredictable thing, it can also be really good! We have to focus on what we have and not in the myriad ways things could go wrong or end, etc. I know that intellectually but still struggle with it from losing family members. Omg, when you said "when you loose someone that you love or loved to a health complication you suddenly become (or at least I did) very very paranoid that the people around you will all just sort of drop off one by one" I was like YES! That's the perfect wording of the feeling after such a loss. After my mom's passing in February 2022 I was paranoid that my dad is going to pass away as well. This thought still lingers in my mind, but not as intense and not as often as it did. Such a loss drastically changes a person and their point of view and unless you've been through that you can't really understand - you can sympathise but not truly understand. Thank you for being so open with us. You're a beautiful person inside and out ❤

Hi Becca. I don't know if I've shared with our other similar struggles, that I am a nurse and work in Long-term care and hospice. I have come to know you after finding your late husband's story. You are both courageous for the work that has been done. They actually have 'death doulas' here in the states to help people navigate death and loss. It's one of the only sure things in this life and know your breaking stigmas and improving quality of life through your pain. Watching someone you love pass and actually being there, in my experience, is one of the more painful acts of love someone could go through. I lost my daughter's father to an overdose and although we were not together at the time I remember telling my friends and family that I felt like a widow because I didn't realize until I lost him that I still loved him so much. I didn't realize I never stopped loving him, that I had to change so I could move on and be healthy. The right thing sometimes feels very wrong, but we're the better for it if we find the strength and courage.

I am so glad to see you happy and healthy. I followed your late husband's channel and have continued to follow you because, old fart mother that I am, I was worried for you and hoped you would heal and get to the place you are now. You are 100% correct, you cannot fill holes in yourself with relationships, stuff, food, drink, etc. You have to address it head on and deal with it. I wake up feeling like he has just joined me in my bed and it is scary. He scares me. I need to get over it… it has been over 5 years and I have moved 30 miles away from him and I still can’t block it out of my brain. The loss you experienced was a horrific one. I remember sone of the details you recounted still five years later as a casual fan, so I cannot imagine the trauma that it was to actually be there and witness ot firsthand. Of COURSE you still have nightmares! I'm so so glad though that you have found someone to understand your journey and support you with that as it's part of who you are now.

I’ve followed you for a while! Through Dans account and then after he passed I followed your own account. I’m so happy for you! This is fantastic and Dan would be so happy for you. I’m also very happy you are open about Dan in this relationship because that continues his memory . I really understand how you feel about being terrified about your boyfriends health. I’ve lost my step mom and grandma to cancer and I watched them decline and pass and now the people I love most I get so scared they will have or get cancer. It’s very understandable you feel this way.

As I said before, I'm so so happy for you! Your face looks so happy and radiant. I think because your new love had something that happened in a relationship in the past, he understood what you were/are going through. Someone else might have not understood. I'm glad you can talk to him about things. It's definitely very normal to feel paranoid when he's feeling a little ill. I'm glad he understands that too.
