The editing on all these really makes the show, the buildup and getting to see all the guys work through the problems then have all the reveals at the end is great work.
Man Brad Radke’s BBRef page is amazing. Appeared in one game his rookie year where he didn’t get the start, was like “don’t you ever pull that shit again” and made 377 starts, eating innings, what a Chad
@@Redsox4444443he was more then a chad innings eater. A chad innings eater is a player who isn’t great but will eat you innings. Brad Radke was really solid for the twins.
This was surprisingly hard, but I was glad to have maxmannised Brad Radke, who was and remains seriously underrated. The fact that Max himself didn't get him just makes me want a 90s-All Stars round even more! Also didn't Derek Jeter spend 15 seasons after 2000 with the Yankees?
But this t was SINCE 2000. I took that to mean players that debuted and played 15+ for one team starting in 2001. If that was what they meant, then Jeter doesn't fit the category with only the 14 seasons. But it is worded pretty ambiguously.
@@snerdtergusonYeah I made the same mistake and was like "Oh easy. Cal Ripken Jr, Tony Gwynn, King Felix and Chipper Jones" Only one of those was right... because I was thinking of players active in the 2000s who played 15 years for one team.
Baseball names are so great. People who don't watch don't get it, and its basically impossible to explain why a name is a "baseball name". But if you're a fan of the sport, you just instinctively know.
This would be cool for a connect grid also where you have the same team on both sides and you have to name a player who only played for that team where they connect.
For the Felix Hernandez mentions in the comments, Sea was his only franchise for the bigs or minors. He may have been in camp with others, but didn't pitch games that counted.
I’m really surprised everyone struggled that much on radke, it even got max which was shocking. As a twins fan myself and recently looking at his page I was driving myself crazy because I could’ve sworn he had a little bit better numbers for how underrated he’s always said to be.
I’m a twins fan, but Brad Radke is from the dead zone between our World Series teams, to the teams I watched while growing up, and he’s a tier or two below being a franchise legend I’ve heard the name, but I couldn’t tell you a thing about him. I may just have to check out some film later
The biggest clue it was Radke is those BB/9, which is one of the best ever in the Modern Era. The King Felix one threw me off because he signed with the Braves at the end of his career, but never made a Major League appearance for them.
I'm proud of myself for actually getting Brad Radke. I had to reach back into my childhood memories to bring that one up. Back in the mid-90s when I was a youngin', I would play indoor baseball with my younger brother. It involved using a plastic toy bowling pin as a bat and nerf balls from the old nerf slingshot as baseballs (some wicked curveballs could be thrown with those). We would keep track of stats, each of us having a roster of various pitchers and batters across mlb. I remember having flamethrowers like Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens, or pitchers with more unique styles like Jimmy Key, Mark Eichorn, and Jim Abbott, etc... and then there was Brad Radke, who we tried to emulate by giving up easy long balls, lol (sorry to the Brad Radke fans).
I have yet to not be completely stumped by the easy round. But I always get one or both of the next two rounds correct. This time I just got Andre Ethier, but it was instantaneous. I had no idea on the hard round. I could only think of Santana, Protest and Soriano for Twins starters around that time, but none played exclusively with the twins and I believe all 3 debuted quite a few years after 95. Once they said Radke though, I was mad at myself for missing the obvious answer.
Another reminder that I don't know jack about baseball from the last 20 years, but I know pre-2000 pretty well: I got the Easy and Medium completely wrong, yet got the Hard correct.
You should do another round of this, but you don't show them the team. The JM crew has to do it entirely by the stats. That would be incredibly hard but also entertaining!
Did my immaculate grid twice. Same answers for 8 of 9 spots but I guessed Cliff Lee as a Cleveland and Cincy player (outside of the 1990 Reds, the team is out of my wheelhouse) and he wasn't ever a red. So I got my first rarity score over 100 at 123. But I noticed there was another Cliff Lee who played in the 1910s-1920s so I used him on my second grid for poops and giggles. Turns out he was on both teams, and only 0.02% pulled him. So my second grid ended up being 100 points lower at a very nice 23. Second highest scoring grid I've done. My best was an idiotically lucky 7. Every spot I knew some early 20th century player that basically no one else guessed. To help some others out. If Cleveland is one of the teams and there's a category it pairs with for .300 season, 100 rbi, HOF... Earl Averill. Guy was a great player, but totally forgotten today.
man seeing those kyle seager stats for his last year like i know the BA was bad but ithink the current team really needs a guy like him im not a mariners fan but to think they didnt want to pay him if i remember that correctly
Craig Biggio played 1988 to 2007 with just the Astros. Bagwell played 15 seasons as well with just the Astros. Retired in 2005. I feel there’s a lot more answers to the last round than 4.
The pure joy from Joez is amazing

Andre Ethier was one of my favorite players growing up! Dodgers Legend
Definitely!! I really really wish he got his ring in 2017. But we all know what happened there.
I looked it up and Jeter played 15 seasons from 2000-2014. I think because he debuted before 2000, he doesn't count.
I mean the question was retired players who played 15 seasons with 1 team after 2000 so I’d argue Jeter should be there
But this t was SINCE 2000. I took that to mean players that debuted and played 15+ for one team starting in 2001. If that was what they meant, then Jeter doesn't fit the category with only the 14 seasons.

Love that you included Radke. I'm a Twins fan, so I got that one instantly.
Same and then my stupid self didn’t think of Mauer 😂
Dan was fried this episode. Sunglasses on too he ain't fooling nobody😂
Brad Radke is such a baseball name. No way to describe it, just know he’s a ball player
I watched a video on Radke the other day and that was the only reason I knew who it was. Would've had no idea otherwise
Baseball names are so great. People who don't watch don't get it, and its basically impossible to explain why a name is a "baseball name". But if you're a fan of the sport, you just instinctively know.
Yeah, Mickey Morandini, Joe Orsulak, Jeff Tomko, Alvaro Espinoza, Mitch Haniger. No rhyme or pattern. You just know it when you see it.
04 Red Sox just got bounced a notch on the miracle win list. Nice Joez.
Well done Joez! Was rooting for you in the final round :)
This would be cool for a connect grid also where you have the same team on both sides and you have to name a player who only played for that team where they connect.
All three rounds were nearly instantaneous gets for me, first time that's happened in this series. Biggup to Joez on his W!
Finally king of clutch Andre
Andre Either is pretty much the #1 reason I'm still mad about the 2017 WS.
Wouldn't Jeter count for the trivia round since he suited up every year from 2000-2014 (which is exactly 15 unique seasons)
agree. that would have been my first guess
I think they mean debuted after 2000
Debuted before 2000
yeah it wasn't worded great because that was my first guess too. shouldve said out of players that debut since 2000.
Yeah, I was guessing guys like Jeter, Mo, and Chipper just because the wording of the question made it seem like it was guys who’d retired since 2000
I forgot how solid the player who is the medium was, just an everyday player, wonderful.
wow happy to witness joes win
For the Felix Hernandez mentions in the comments, Sea was his only franchise for the bigs or minors. He may have been in camp with others, but didn't pitch games that counted.
Thanks for clarifying this because I definitely saw in different uniforms lol
Yeah he signed with the Atlanta braves with a spring invite for the 2020 season but ended up opting out and never came back.
I struggled with Ethier but got Radke instantly LOL.
Hell yeah, Joez! That was some sick reffin' and guessin'
Proud of you Joez!! 🎉🐸
Joez walk towards the winners circle was legendaryb😂😂
I've been watching refguess from the beginning and, as a casual, I'm proud to say that today's easy is the first one I've ever gotten 🥳
I am way too happy for Joez on his first win
I knew Brad Radke immediately solely because of Backyard Baseball 2003.
Screw the Dodgers, no screw you Dalton
When I saw Twins and leading the league in HR's given up, I instantly knew it was Radke.
I’m really surprised everyone struggled that much on radke, it even got max which was shocking. As a twins fan myself and recently looking at his page I was driving myself crazy because I could’ve sworn he had a little bit better numbers for how underrated he’s always said to be.
He is underrated and his numbers are like that because of the steroid era. Which is what makes him so underrated.
I believe Jeter qualifies for the trivia question as well.
Debuted before 2000
Debuted wasn’t in the question
Also….. WOAH JOEZ!!!!! What a job from the big guy let’s go!
Congrats, Joez. I'm very impressed.
1:44 “brother of Joseph Seager” 💀ah yes Joe and Corey Seager. The best brother duo in baseball
Joez used like 17 accents this video and we need more
I got Radke and Seager, but was perplexed by Ethier.
Got Radke immediately, he is very underrated.
My first pick in trivia was Ryan braun, couldn't believe he only played 14 years
I picked Gardner and realized it was 14 too
Can't believe I nailed Brad Radke, thank you MVP Baseball 2005
Playing MVP baseball a lot back in the day, you remember a lot of these random players pop in your head immediately
shocked that so few people got Backyard Baseball 2003 legend Brad Radke
I’m a twins fan, but Brad Radke is from the dead zone between our World Series teams, to the teams I watched while growing up, and he’s a tier or two below being a franchise legend
I’ve heard the name, but I couldn’t tell you a thing about him. I may just have to check out some film later
The tiebreaking question is worded a way that could get someone confused if you're trying to get the exact details or qualifiers.
HUGE win for Joez "The Dolphin Philanderer" McFly!!!
Concept idea: Reverse Immaculate Grid. Fill the 9 boxes with players, but leave the teams (or even categories!) on the rows and columns blank.
I gave the suggestion for Grid, but I'll take this too!
The biggest clue it was Radke is those BB/9, which is one of the best ever in the Modern Era. The King Felix one threw me off because he signed with the Braves at the end of his career, but never made a Major League appearance for them.

Thought of Radke because of World Series Baseball for the Sega Saturn and also the MLB Showdown TCG
Someone just made a video on Brad Radke, totally spacing which baseball TH-camr it was. Without that video I had 0 chance to get that one

Joez is the best. Wow
Stark Raving Sports just did a GREAT video on Brad Radke, wouldn’t have gotten it if I hadn’t just watched that a month ago
I believed Joez
Interesting one!
Love to see a Joez win
Joe’s Twins HOF induction is today. Wish he hadn’t been hurt, could’ve still been ripping doubles as a first baseman. Minnesota guy.
Felix Hernandez played the first part of 2020 Spring Training with the Braves but didn’t come back for the 60 game season
Lets go Joez!
Good job Joez 😮

I don't mean to catch semantics but "since 2000" if it means including that year then Jeter would count. Since there are 15 years from 2000-2014
Jeter debuted in the 90s, though. "Since 2000" includes players that debuted in or after 2000
