- Ever wondered how to master this gunboat? She's the last of her breed sporting four dual mounted 4" guns and with a lot of attention payed to her gunnery and some skillful attack runs you can unleash the fury of the USS Clemson in spectacular fashion and send your enemies to Davy Jones' Locker!
Mods used in the battle portion of this game can be found using Aslain's Modpack.

Thanks! Trying to get back into making WoW's videos to complete the lines I've started. At some point I'm going to have to revisit some of these older videos (like the USN DD's) and redo them. Someday! :)
I love this ship. I don't know why but I do better playing clemson than I do with any other ship.

I love the Clemson. Get a lot of kills with the number of torpedoes it carries. Wish they had longer range but that's what ambush is for

The Clemson and I don't exactly get a long entirely. I try my dangdest to like her but I'm just too used to the rapid fire "machine guns" of the 5"/38cal DD's (Nicholas on, not that I like the Nicholas though). The Clemson does have some brilliant gun play if you can get the thing working them correctly! Just not my cup of tea. I'd rather put around in the Sampson for the low tier game play which is why I still have my Sampson but don't have my Clemson! :)
+Whiskey's Gaming Lounge I had to sell mine to, because grinding up the US BB tree took up to many slots. The thing about the Nicholas for me is that it didn't really fit my DD play style. I found her to big and unmaneouvehable for my shot-dodging and close quarter brawls I generally get myself into in a destroyer. I preferred the Clemson's ability to put a huge number of small rounds into the air. The Nicholas and I got on really badly, and I knew later US DDs played a lot like it, so that's where my US DD career ended.
Ohh... only the gun play of the Nicholas is comparable to the later tiers... my Fletcher has a 2.4s rudder shift time and 560m turning circle. That's pretty impressive really.
+Whiskey's Gaming Lounge that's great. It wasn't so much the shift or the turning circle for me though. It just didn't seem to go round as fast. The Nicholas seems to bleed of more speed than the Clemson when turning. I'm more of a battleship person, so it's probably not much of a surprise I do worse in DDs.
I would agree with that. The loss of speed is pretty apparent and the lack of power to come out of it and get back up to speed is one of the hard parts of the Nicholas. She definitely requires a slightly different take on how to play her than the Clemson prior to! That said, the glory of the 5" guns makes playing around with, and messing with, cruisers a lot of fun!
how do you have the ship names and health bars on the sides of your screen?
8.6 km artillery range can go to 10.4 km with commander upgrade (Advanced Firing Training) and then this ship becomes potent. My best win % is with Clemson, over all other US destroyers. I only need 2 more points to get to 19 point captain, then I can increase firing rate by 10%. So many sorry cruisers!!!
If you can get a broadside phoenix I have racked up a few citadels with my small guns but only when they are broadside
Can you? I haven't tried it with the 4" poodle poppers yet, I did it with the 5"/38's on the Nicholas and Up though. The downtime after a patch with Aslain's modpack makes it difficult to test things like this because the training room is not available until the modpack comes out again.
+Whiskey's Gaming Lounge you can access the training room with out a mod if you need to.
Yeah I know, it's just a pain in the rear if you have to keep switching to it by editing the file and restarting the game.

Hmmm.... You'd have to look in Aslain's Modpack to see. Many of these things are already in the game from WG, but burried in the menus.

Ugh, the Clemson sounds frustrating!!
Its one of the most fun ships in the game, a total balls-out brawler, and probably a bit OP. Play it now before it gets nerfed.
