- Wasn't entirely sure of his intentions but, I'm guessing they were going to try and filter in to the stationary traffic.
His actions caused my collision avoidance system to kick in bringing my vehicle to a dead stop, in a live lane. This is turn caused to more trucks behind me to take evasive action to avoid a collision!
I'm not an expert, but brake checking a very large, heavy vehicle is probably a good way to lose a couple inches off the back of your car.
Yh, if the lorry driver wasn't alert, the audi would've been crushed

S/RS badge. Those are the worst, they think they possess the right of going with car max speed (over 200 km/h) on the empty fast lane. Doesn't matter for them if it's rush hour or not...
Here in the US it's the Tesla drivers that do this shit. Mostly they sit in the passing lane and go under the speed limit to sit next to the car in the middle lane. If you find a way around them in the right lane they get pissed and speed way up to block you in or tailgate you or jump in front of you and then drop speed again. This isn't a one off thing either, I've seen this with aost every Tesla I've seen in the last 3 months.
Shouldn't be leaving it late to join the other lane, theres always a junction you can use to get you back to where you need to go.

While I find the avoidance collision system could be good if you fall asleep at the wheel, I fail to see how it helps to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. Mine has come on twice and both times I feel it made the situation worse and mine doesn't even bring it to a complete stop.
It doesn't bring car to complete stop, so in the event of false alarm, it doesn't cause a rear end collision

It looks like the guy following didn't slow down and then the Audi driver got annoyed and slowed down.....then braked like an idiot. Bad driving all-round
Was looking for a comment like this. Glad I found it. Truck driver made next to no effort to slow, presumably as a “display of discontent” that the Audi was not going fast enough after moving in front.
Makes no sense at all. The truck driver did slow down a little bit but he didn't have to. The audi slowed down for no reason once they crossed over and then decided to brake check. There was more then enough space for the audi to speed up to give space but he didn't. All fault goes to the audi.

Those bleeps you heard just before I stopped? That's the collision avoidance system kicking in. It detected the obstacle in front and braked for me. My foot was already in the brake but....
Yea that was a break check for sure an illegal move where I live. If you would have hit him where I live and probably anywhere else that other driver would have been at fault.
Edit he would be at fault because of the camera. Without the camera he could fight it and it would be a 50 50 thing

@@MegaMetinMetin You can clearly see the speed dropping as the audi pulls infront. Audi Brakes... trucks cant stop as fast as cars. so if a car takes a trucks braking distance and then brakes... the truck will get close as it cant brake as quick.
Notice how i said brake as quick many times? people fail to realize that.

Just so you know as I'm not sure if you are aware but you are in the right hand lane which is for overtaking vehicles. No he shouldn't have undertaken you or break checked you however you were in the wrong lane and he most likely wouldn't have done this if you just stayed to the left hand lane except when overtaking or until you are past the signs overhead that state Richmond/Southampton
I'ts not an overtaking lane, the two lanes are filter/exit lanes to join another motorway. The left lane goes one direction, the right lane goes in another. The truck was in the correct lane for their direction of travel.....

Yeah thats not how it works, an HGV can just do sudden last second lane changes like a car, the HGV had every right to be there as they already explained.
