Ironically his thoughts when Palpatine shoots lightning at him (in the book) are awesome! I have a video about it: th-cam.com/video/Q9OF9iQvptE/w-d-xo.html
I liked how in the books Luke actually blocked the lightning with the force until being overwhelmed. He came to the conclusion that if the force created it the force could deflect it.
Excellent job on this video. One of the best ones I've seen covering Luke. As he was your favorite. Han Chewy and especially the millennium falcon were my favorite characters. Han was my hero. And yes he did shoot first
Fantasy: Leader of totalitarian nightmare suddenly dies. Totalitarian nightmare dissipates like a bad dream. Reality: Leader of totalitarian nightmare suddenly dies. Even worse dictator replaces him in about three seconds.
About the only thing I liked about the last film was that Rey figures out to use anger and violence to kill Palps, wasn't the way. She deflected his own aggressive lighting against him
Great video! Lucas should have ended it with Luke turning to the Darkside like he originally planned and then Luke could have fought Leia another great movie or 2! This is my favorite scene in all of Star Wars and I was there in the theater for the original 3, it's so awesome! Team Darkside 🤘🏻
I just want to know what was going through his mind during that incredibly awkward moment in the elevator. Just standing there, facing the doors and going up with Vader breathing beside him. Wtf am I doing here?
This explains exactly what I have said before and why legends is crap since Luke would rather die before turning to the dark side both on Bespin and this scene prove that.
I'm not a fan of Dark Empire or Luke turning to the dark side, but his reasoning for doing so is amazing. In the Legends encyclopedia "Jedi vs Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force," Luke says that he had to turn to the dark side to know his father, and know why Anakin chose the darkness.
@@RetneysHolocronI figured it was not just to understand his father & his choices, but also to understand the darkness within himself as well. To learn how to respect & accept that no matter how good you are the darkness will always be there within him & needs a safe voice to be used. Simply ignoring or denying it's existence only makes it stronger. It gave him valuable insight, wisdom, & enlightenment
the “ultimate” use of the Force is not about mastering the ‘light’ side , or ‘dark’… the ultimate Force user, the true master…. has absolute BALANCE between them

In many ways, Luke is what Anakin could have been had he not been lured by the Dark Side. I'm pretty sure when Anakin/Vader was watching Luke resist the Dark Side he was thinking, "that could have been me."
Luke has been my favorite character in the whole franchise. His kind, selfless, forgiving nature feels so much like me.
You forgot humility 😂
Me too. Hes my favorite. Especially how funny he is in episode 4. He’s such a whiny little bitch lol
I always thought that Luke's first reaction to Palpatine is how hideous he is
Yes, he did find him sidious.
No, that was his first reaction to your mom.
@joelkurtz1836 oh, so you have to insult other people's mothers because your mom looks like Darth Sidious and u inherited her ugliness.
I’m boldly gonna assume at some point during the fight he thought something along the lines of “Oh God, that’s lightning!”

Luke was always my favorite as well. Though Han was a close second. What can I say, I've always been part farmboy, part scoundrel. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Luke was like: look at this ugly mf, what you got the mumps my dude?
Pfft 🤣🤣🤣
This was also one of my favorite moment in all of SW. Luke was mu favorite character too for the longest time. Only replaced out by Ashoka.
@@brokenbridge6316 Ashoka fan also!

And then comes in Grand Admiral Thrawn and his shadow empire.
Luke sending vader tumbling down the stairs took away any and all seriousness out of the situation, looks like a parkour video in rewind lol.
About the only thing I liked about the last film was that Rey figures out to use anger and violence to kill Palps, wasn't the way. She deflected his own aggressive lighting against him
After that palpatine almost killed him

Luke could not defeat Vader in duel, Vader was also conflicted and held back, he also did not want to kill his son but to join him.
I just want to know what was going through his mind during that incredibly awkward moment in the elevator. Just standing there, facing the doors and going up with Vader breathing beside him. Wtf am I doing here?
Cool

He didn’t redeem Vader fam. He just got his dad to stop the emperor. It doesn’t redeem genocide or betrayal of a galaxy.

Though he's a year older, I like how Luke is kinda like Anakin by the time of revenge of the sith.
Except Luke was raised with kindness and love, whereas his father was consumed by hatred, revenge, and despair.
In many ways, Luke is what Anakin could have been had he not been lured by the Dark Side. I'm pretty sure when Anakin/Vader was watching Luke resist the Dark Side he was thinking, "that could have been me."
@MutantsInDisguise Most importantly, he was consumed by fear
it’s all Qui-Gon’s fault Anakin fell to the darkside in the first place.. (think about it people….thhhhhink about it…) 🧐🤔
